Amazing, isn't it, what some people can actively decide to dislike? I only found Tony's channel a couple of days ago, but I've already recognized that he's one of the best teachers, hands down, I've ever run across in a long life. He could teach teachers how to be teachers.

I can’t imagine getting my patterns from anywhere else.
I look at the first bag that I made and I cringe. I was so proud of it. There’s no comparison to the items I make now and the thing that’s made the difference is the stitching. It’s much better now. Even for someone with visual difficulties like I have, Tony’s patterns are a delight to work with.

Since I started following along with your patterns and taping the pattern down with this masking tape I discovered that the tape not only holds the pattern firm to the leather but I found my holes were more consistent as opposed to transferring the pattern with an awl through the transparent paper because the masking tape helps keep the leather from stretching which happens often with veg tan leather. Now with other patterns, I put masking tape on the back ..and the ikea candle wax was a game changer!!! I love love love that tip!

    Tony... one thing you forgot.
If your edges are not straight, your stitch line wont be straight.
So its important to make sure to cut evenly for straight edges.
Another set of helpful tools, if people don't have the ones you mentioned, are a corked back metal ruler and scratch awl. This can help align the stitching line.
    😉👍
