Hi guys! I know there are some divas missing, Amy Winehouse, Nelly Furtado, Dido, etc. I'll be uploading a new bar chart race battle in a few days, adding the divas requested with their respective debuts from 1996.

However, Latin America as a whole lacks a unified centre that measures album sales, like the US and Canada that have Nielsen, Australia and New Zealand have Crowley and so on. Just for example, Brazil has Crowley and ABPD (Brazilian Association of Disk Producers), but their data often conflicts with each other and people do not have a good source for measurement. Now, Argentina has Billboard, but it only measures airplay, same as in Billboard Brazil and the country has their own source of music sales. If every country in Latin America had had a good, reliable, source of music sales information since the 1960s - as OCC acts in the UK and Billboard in the US, we'd have much more expressive numbers of sales than the ones we currently have based solely on iTunes and Google play sales.

Honestly Adele and Taylor deserve a lot of credit. Literally NO ONE buys albums anymore. Britney (who I love!) released two albums during peak album sales years. After 2000 album sales started going down. Britney, In the Zone, and My Prerogative though we’re released during the downturn too and both went multi platinum though. But by the time Taylor and Adele came out album sales were pretty diminished. Kudos to Adele and Taylor!
