Building a tiny house mini cabin DIY trailer build Part 2
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 7 фев 2025
- This series will show building a tiny home mini cabin. Not necessarily a How to build a tiny house video series, more of a documentary on how I built mine. The beauty of building a DIY cabin is you can do it how ever you want especially when building on a movable trailer, it’s not permanent structure. Build, have fun, experiment, try different materials, make a cool structure and don’t over complicate things.

Honestly, you killed your own channel Mike, your fabrication content used to be super interesting & then suddenly you were a reviewing & unboxing channel. This content is getting back to your old style but it won’t be for everyone as this is more woodworking& diy rather than metal fabrication ground up building.
Well you probably have no idea how involved the build series are to make on your own when holding down a full time job and having a family. Honestly I just couldn’t keep up, I never made enough on YT to go full time so I needed to still work my main job to provide for my family. I had to balance out my life and for me my family will always be far more important they a YT channel. So if I “killed my own channel” to provide for my family’s needs than so be it.
And he changed is authentic Hip hop beats background music into the same HD tracks every vdo . 😢
@@mattoska Well I got hundreds of comments over the years from people complaining about the hip hop music that I had to PAY 💰 for to use in my FREE videos.
My thoughts are why PAY for music from artists I don’t even know when I can help promote my friends music by using it in my videos.
You guys have anything else to complain about??? 😂
@@Mikefestiva I'm not offering complaints,,,,I was responding to your yt grievance. I don't know why you would read music complaint comments and then change your style. niche style is king on yt. your niche is excellent fabrication with chill beats , that's your style, that's what loyal subscribers/ viewers stayed for. that's some straight talk from a 20yr yt user.
Enjoy your videos. Just keep having fun making cool stuff. Fun watching dirt bike stuff also,
.
It disappoints me that your videos aren’t doing well! It’s some of my favorite content on RUclips and your projects are awesome!
It's probably because he's not one of the high energy, over the top, youtubers. Unfortunately, it seems like most viewers prefer those types, which I personally don't care for. Mike deserves far more subscribers and views than he has.
Love this channel
Thank you! I really appreciate the support on my channel. Maybe the channel will pick up again? Who knows 😂 I have experienced many ups and downs on YT viewership over the years.
Screw the algorithm. Hope you keep going.
Thanks! I definitely will keep making videos, I may just change a few things on how I make them.
I watch every video you make it takes me a few days as I'm about a week behind on all the channels I fallow.
Thanks Doug! I really appreciate the support on my channel 😊
Stay at it, man. This inspires me to keep going on my projects.
Right on! Thanks for watching 😊 Definitely makes me happy to hear this is inspiring and motivating! 👍
I dig it! don't stop, keep the party going.
don't quit youtube mike! a new video from your channel is the highlight of my day. I really appreciate how honest and down to earth you are.
We agree friend!!
My favorite content on the channel is welding.😅
You were super nice and thankful when you recommended the Ants Pants channel.
Have a great week.👍👍👍👍
Ants pants is awesome!
I am really looking forward to the future content. I have always enjoyed your channel and hope you keep it going.
Thanks Ray I appreciate it 👍
Mike; About a year ago I made my version of your magnetic stock holder. I used two aluminum plates sandwiching two squares plywood. I hollowed out the center for magnet and wiring space and used some dowels to press fit it all together. Everything else was assembled with your parts list and instructions. Some folks at my tech school helped with the wiring. My intent was to use it for knife making, but it turned out to be very handy for numerous projects. I will make an improved version with more power for bigger stuff. The cool part is everyone who saw it in my welding class and in the industrial repair class thought I was a genius and that I should start a RUclips channel! I just showed them your channel and a couple of folks realized the power of fabrication instead of an individual vocation being a path to a job. Your success at RUclips is not just what is seen and measured. Thank you, wh
Thanks! I really enjoyed reading this. I’m also glad it turned out good and it’s been a helpful tool for Fab work 😊👍
As a retired carpenter, this series is great. Love your work 👍
Thanks! I appreciate it man 😊👍
I've always enjoyed your videos. Both the DIY builds and reviews. I'm really looking forward to the review on that mini excavator.
Thanks for checking out my new video! Yes I’m still compiling video footage and putting on more hours on my mini Excavator, definitely a good bargain back saver! I probably will get the first video up in a few weeks 😊👍
You are giving me hope right now. You have no idea how much that means to me. Seriously, you are changing my perspective, and really, my life. So grateful 🙏
Right on 👍 glad my videos are inspiring you to build one 😊
Mr Festiva, the build is looking great! Sorry I'm a few days late! I appreciate the detail you added to the roof. It's the little touches like that that make projects look professional, and for an extra few mins, or even hours, it's totally woth it! Man, I wish all drum brakes came like that 😂. RUclips is super frustrating these days. Hopefully, you can keep sharing your builds with your fans. Editing is one thing, but filming takes time and effort too. It's hard for people watching to understand how much dang work it takes to put together a 20min video.
Thanks man! You definitely understand the YT thing, definitely a lot of time goes into making videos. Thanks for the support 👍😊
I definitely will keep making videos, I just may change up the way I make them and try to streamline the process and time spent on YT.
I got notified after i watched the first video. Miss your videos in my rotation.
I think the biggest issue is RUclips changed it's algorithm. So since your not consistent it's hard to get recommended. I've always loved your work. Been watching you for years. You do a project sometime that'll really get the juices flowing sometime. I'm the man time just keep doing what your doing. I've seen this happen to other channels and they do something project wise and it really hits. Then viewers go back and watch your other videos and find out what we already know about you. Chin up. Your doing this for you and yes it would be nice to get some income in so it takes some of the burden of these projects off. It'll happen in time. I'm the man time keep being you.
I am commenting for the algorithm, I have been watching your stuff since the first sawmill, came back for the quad truck,
Man that’s awesome, I appreciate it 😊👍
Thanks for encouraging others and choosing pleasant music in every video!
Thank you! I appreciate it 👍😊
Your videos are always absolute gold! Mini truck running in the hills and hobo Dave for tunes…just perfect. Keep it up!!
Thanks 😊 I really appreciate the support!
I’m feeling like getting out in the mini truck for another camping trip video pretty soon 👍😊
I rarely get notified of your new videos. Seems as if YT is always recommending content that I have zero interest in watching… it’s sad to say the least. Mike’s videos really helped me get into welding.
Mike, for what it's worth I truly enjoy your videos. Whether it's about milling, fabrication, playing with the bikes, whatever, I find it all interesting and enjoyable to watch. I for one was notified of your new video. Whatever you decide going forward I hope you'll still at least make the occasional video.
Thanks 👍I I really appreciate it man 😊
this is one of myy favorite channels. You and your brother are the main reason i bought a mini truck.
Right on! I really appreciate it 👍 man the mini trucks are really versatile, I use mine all the time. 😊
I’m subscribed and seeing notifications for all your videos so far.
I like the use of roof sheeting for ridge cap. I always wondered why they sell ridge cap when it looked like this would work well.
I make it a point to check your channel for new videos now. Always enjoy your videos. Thank you for all the work you put in.
Awesome! Thank you! 😊👍
There is a form of tranquility about your videos. A laidback life style. It might not be the source of the "more, modern and faster lifestyle" - many are looking for. but it is definitely enjoyable. I can name you many channels that are your typical "concrete jungle productions" - but it will seem that I want to bash them. Which I don't, as they also fall in my extremely wide interest. I really hope you can find a way to persist with your videos, as they are really enjoyable. Thanx for sharing Mike.
One of the best channels on youtube!
I love this kind of stuff, please don't be discouraged, and keep doing what you're doing.
Thank you! I will keep making videos, I just may change the way I go about making them.
Hang it there man, I've been with you for year and really enjoy the adventures, I'm pass your channel on
Thanks 😊 I definitely appreciate the support!
I've been a subscriber for a long time and will always watch. I appreciate the effort you put into making these videos and hope you can keep it up!
I appreciate that Ryan! Thank you 😊
I have been watching your videos for about a year and I like the variety. Common sense fixes and hacks are great too. Would really like to see a review of your new tractor, looks like something I could really use around my place with that thumb.
Thanks for watching, definitely will make a video of it soon, it’s a back saver, worth the cost 👍😊
Hey Mike I've, been a subscriber for a few years now. Started watching when you were doing the Quadtruck build. I found it very interesting and informative, making a piece of machinery from stuff available to you. Then came the articulated dump truck and mini Pinzgauer. Those were kick-ass. Your fabrication skills are top-notch, and I've personally learned alot from you. Your welding tutorial vids have been helpful as well. Also, my wife is getting all to used to hearing how badly I want a Kei truck now 😂 This series, even though its a bit of a departure from your usual content, I've been eating it up because I know next-to-nothing about carpentry or building a home. My wife and I have recently been forced to change our living situation. We've been provided a house as a result on a beautiful piece of property, but the catch is, we need to finish the renovations. The place is down to the studs on the inside, and the exterior needs help as well. My wife and I are both mechanics, and Im a welder. As I mentioned before, we're not carpenters. I guess all of this is to say, here I am learning even more off of you than I was before. I'm even thinking of making/purchasing a mill. I know I'm only one guy that you've never met, but you're helping me along on my journey, and I'm thankful. Your content might change here and there, but I'm personally with it. You're a knowledgeable, down to earth guy that presents his videos with alot of good vibes. You also make seemingly huge, unobtainable projects appear doable to the everyday DIYer. I know you've been discouraged with the way the algorithm is handling your channel, I just really hope you're not considering shutting it down. I don't receive the notifications anymore, but I still check your page weekly for new content. I hope you keep at it, because I'm glad you're here. If there's one thing I do miss is the random drum breakdowns. How about some blastbeats in the cabin when it's done?? I bet the acoustics would be perfect for it 🤘 The hell with the naysayers and the negativity. You do great stuff, man. Keep with it.
Hey Mike, glad to see the cabin coming along nicely. You guys knocked out alot. Should make a nice little home away from home. Take care.
Thanks man 👍 it’s been a fun project so far.
Love your videos. Don't give up.
I’m sorry to hear about your videos. It’s always a great day when I see you have uploaded a video. 👍🏼
no idea if this works but maybe replying to comments boosts some metric lol
Thanks man! I really appreciate it 😊👍
I think RUclips is doing something because i never got notification of build one series. Keep the videos coming
hey mike i really enjoy your channel. its like RUclips was before they wrecked it. cheers
I had to wait until after work (and a wifi network) to watch but here I am!
Keep it up, always enjoy watching and learning new things. Great channel....
Thanks Lance! I appreciate it 👍
Great project. I feel like this should be an evergreen series
Thanks man 😊👍
Yeah, I’ve seldom gotten a notification for a new video from you in the past year. I DID get one for part 6 of this build, so I went to your channel and am binging from the beginning. ✌️👍
I'm still here Mike, thanx for sharing
I started watching to learn welding, but I love all your videos! When I found out you live in WA (me too), it made me love your content even more! 😊 I have been getting recent notifications, but there were times no too long ago I was not notified and had to go looking for your newest video. I try to remember liking all your videos. Does commenting help at all? And if so, does commenting on older videos make a difference? Thank you for sharing your life and knowledge with us!
Any interaction helps. Even on older videos.
Thanks man! I really appreciate it, yes 👍 up and commenting YT says will help at least 2 years ago they said it boosts the algorithm but I do wonder sometimes if it does anymore? I have had a few videos get 3X the comments then other videos but they still ramp down the views around 10K and then views almost completely stop.
Hey!!! I’ll pickup the batt sheers!!! Awsome project Mike!!!
Understand the labor of love thing and all that. Take care of yourself and your family first, but I hope you can continue to produce content. Love everything you do. Thanks Mike!
Thanks 😊 I appreciate it!
Yes I will continue making YT videos.
I may try a different approach to videos in the future but I still will me on this platform 👍
BOARD AND bATTEN...BEAUTIFUL RUSTIC LOOK!!
I have not seen you for a while, definitely haven’t seen any notifications.
I will watch all videos that I have missed in the last year or so.
I like the mechanical builds (like the articulated dump truck) but I follow all your adventures!
Right on! Thanks Dave
Mike, I've been a long time sub and I'm still getting notifications ! I'm sorry to hear that u-tube is doing that to you ! ! ! I've enjoyed every one of your videos ! Keep them coming, THANK's.
Right on, thank you David! I really do appreciate the support man 👍
I like you, I like your content. I joined when you were doing the cool dump truck and pinzgauer builds. Do cool things and I hope it can be shared around. Thanks for not doing click bait!
Thanks man I really appreciate it 👍😊
Keep keeping on Mike !!
Commenting to help the algorithm, keep it up Mike!
one day i'm gonna make my own little trailer cabin just like that. love it!
I definitely think you will have fun building it 😊👍
Personally Mike, I like watching your working on various projects. Often I learn something new or a different way to do something. If not, I find your videos relaxing and entertaining. Hope you don't give up the channel.
Thanks Doug! I really appreciate it 😊
I definitely will keep making videos but I may change a few things on how I go about making content. 👍
@@MikefestivaI'll watch!
Your videos are unique and low key, which I appreciate.
Thanks 😊 I really appreciate it 👍
I like this build 👍
Bless Mike, I love your video. Thanks 😊
Thank you 😊 👍
Hey! Algo! Mike's a real one. Show his stuff!
Thanks I really appreciate it!
Pretty cool build! 👍🏽😀❤️🇺🇸
Glad to see you're still making videos
Nice job on the build. Having a second hand just to talk to makes a huge difference in motivation.
I look forward to all of your videos. I find them very educational and entertaining. Thx for making them
Glad you like them! I really appreciate it 👍
I view em all Mike!😊
Right on thanks 😊
Hello your videos popped up on my recommended homepage or whatever you want to call it. I am extremely interested in this series!
I'm 64-year-old woman who wants to do exactly what you're doing. I have no prior building experience at least not to that degree. That being said I hope that you'll continue with the series till the end. I have subscribed and will definitely be watching.
I don't understand RUclips and the recommendations of videos etcetera. Typically when I subscribe I want all notifications or otherwise I wouldn't be subscribing to a channel.
I know that I'm only one person but I certainly hope you continue the series. I like your format and your style of videos and I find it informative.
I love building stuff. I'm going to build a front porch when the weather breaks. I already built two sheds and a 20 by 30 deck. I've been remodeling my 14 by 66 foot home for the last 30 years. There is not much I haven't redone in this place. And it's about time to start over on the stuff I've done decades ago.
I found your channel through the Predator powered dirt bike and haven’t left since! I am really looking forward to the review of the mini excavator. Keep up the great work, Mike.
Thanks Aaron! I appreciate the support man 👍😊
Loving the tiny house build. Keep up the great videos bud!!
Enjoying the build can't wait to see the next video Mike!!
Great work! Love the cabin. Keep them coming.
Hey Mike, I've been a subscriber since your predator swapped bike series. Your channel is one of my favorites. Hope the algorithm scratches your back!
Right on! You have been a long time subscriber, that’s great 👍😊 I really appreciate the support!
Cant wait till you start working on the interior, it fascinates me by all the ways to incorporate space savings and storage
I’m definitely looking forward to getting into the interior as well 👍😊
Been watching for years and always enjoy the variety of your projects - keep up the great work
Awesome, thank you! 👍
hi.. Mike..i was waiting for this video...thank you for share👍👍👍👍👍👍
Labor of love, sometimes it is tough love labor! Keep at it please.
no idea if this works but maybe replying to comments boosts some metric lol
Always enjoy your videos, regardless of what you’re working on.
Love the videos dude keep it up
Thanks man! I really appreciate it, Should have Part 3 posted tomorrow evening or Saturday morning 😊👍
Commenting for reach! Hope this help ppl see the great work you do documenting your builds. They're cool as heck
Awesome thank you! I appreciate the support man 👍😊
Enjoying the build, and you music selection as always.
Thanks 😊
I really appreciate it 👍
Great job on that mini cabin Mike, looking forward to see the review on the mini excavator and watching you mill and install the siding on your cabin.
Thanks Tom! Sorry it’s taken me so long to comment back, I posted the video when I was out of town with the family then straight back to work for the week, just now getting back the the early comments.
hey Mike thanks for continuing to capture these videos and putting in a bunch of effort into editing it shows! Definitely taking some notes for the future I appreciate your thoughtfulness and tips.
Awesome video Mike 👌 You always have something cool going on . Love your channel and will share ! Very interested in the present project so we will be back for sure. Thanks for sharing !!!!! 🙏😊👍❤️
Love fabrication and building videos the best. keep up the great work.
Guys like you make youboob a decent place to learn and get inspiration
Thanks Bob! I really appreciate it 😊
Cabin looks nice. And the mini excavator is awesome!
I could see myself spending weekends in a mini cabin like this. Thanks for all the inspiration Mike!
Thanks for checking out my new video 👍😊
Mike keep,up,the great work. Enjoying the build gonna be a neat little cabin when finished.
Love the content Mike, very relaxing music and editing. Looking forward to the minitruck camper cell construction feedback. Love the building and machinery stuff! Cheers from France.
Thanks man I really appreciate it! Hello from the Pacific Northwest 😊👍
Hey Mike, I enjoy your content! Excellent fabrication skills. Just wanted to recommend a 1.5" gap between your ridge pole and roof deck so when you put in your vent baffles you have proper air flow from your soffits to ridge. I've seen small cabins rain condensation from no airflow and also develop mold very quickly. A building tiny or large needs to breathe. Awesome work and keep the content flowing. Your view hits will flow when you throw on the rustic siding.
Definitely keen for some more videos on this series! Awesome work
Thanks 😊
Mike,
I found your channel from Harbor freight, with the titanium125 review. I love your reviews and have watched the ones from your plasma table and your comparison videos. Your demeanor is chill and I love that. That's why I subscribed. Actually when you said you were potentially going to make a review of the Rippa Texas, I got super excited thinking you already made one. But I re listened to that sentence. I do hope you eventually do make a review. Also the mini articulating truck series was very informative! I know it can be discouraging especially when you're essentially doing the editing and uploading for free. And the extra time taken to set your camera(s) up and making a commentary. I do hope you continue to make video despite the disappointing algorithmic results, but of course working for free is no fun(unless it's to volunteer!). As always I enjoy your content and look forward to all your vids you upload!
Thanks man, I really appreciate reading your comment 😊 people like you are what keeps me motivated to keep making videos.
I really do appreciate it 👍
We appreciate your efforts Mike . Could sure use some of your excess rain over here in eastern Australia mate.
Mike, I subscribe to a lot of channels. Yours is one of the few that I specifically have notifications turned ON. I really like the build content. Have to say I probably will not try duplicating all your builds but I always learn something that I can apply to my own. Don’t get discouraged and keep up the great work.
Thanks man, I really appreciate it!
I will keep on making videos, thanks for the kind words 😊
Mike I love your videos! Keep up the great job!
Thanks man, I appreciate it 😊
Truly appreciate you and your work. Love the welding, wood work, reviews, and the overlanding with your brother. Oh, and one can not forget the mini bikes. Bummed you are getting discouraged as I, again, love seeing your creativity. Thank you for all you do.
Like the video series and always look forward to videos.
Thank you Mike! 😊👍
Your videos pop up for me within 30mins generally
Good to know 👍
Hey don’t give up . Great video!
I am a subscriber for all and I never got a notification about this series.
Nice, Mike! Great progress. I like the artistic elements you add to your projects like the asymmetric roofline and irregular shaped overhang. Those details add a lot.
RUclips has some weird algorithms if you ask me... You got solid content here. Your channel deserves more attention.
Right on! That’s for noticing those simple little details 😊
Sorry for taking so long to reply, I was out of town when this video got posted, then had the work week, just now trying to read all the earlier comments. 😊
Comment for the algo! Keep up the videos 🍻🤙
Thanks Mark! I appreciate it.
Our fishing trip is coming up soon!
can't wait, fish on!
Love this series!!
Thanks! I really appreciate it 👍😊
