Its amazing how many rail videos there are on RUclips BUT the ones that satisfy the viewers more are the one who take time to show the details on the trains on view. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Brian, I’m glad you feel the same as me. I put a lot more effort into these videos both in the information and the thumbnails. Thank you so much for your amazing support, it really helps to keep my motivation up, especially when it’s cold outside! 😃

As a local, it's nice to see Central Station get some love. With the refurbishments to both the mainline station to what you see now and also the metro station in 2017 (with more refurbishments to come), alongside the good links that both stations provide locally, regionally and nationally, plus also the new TP and Lumo trains coming into service, safe to say I'm glad to have the station in the region. Edit: the metro cars that are currently being built to come into service in a couple years time will also have a big boost for the station and the region, exciting times ahead. And it wouldn't be a Central Station video without seagulls!
So Newcastle, principal stop on the East Coast main line between London King's Cross and Edinburgh. Many railtours have stopped or passed through this station over the years. I will certainly be boarding on one in early May, the return of the Deltic, a diesel train. Looking forward to visiting this station and the city. As well as regular LNER 'Azuma' trains, there are additional services via a new open access operator called Lumo. Among the many destinations from Newcastle is the Metrocentre, its answer to say Wood Green or Westfield Stratford, both in London and Birmingham's Bullring.
I love how you managed to get the cross country HST in this! I didn't manage to get it when I've done trainspotting videos twice in Newcastle as its my local station. :D Thank you for doing the video I asked for 6 months ago :D Have you seen my trainspotting videos by the way?
No problem at all FusionZenFlame, as you know, it takes me a while to get the videos uploaded from recording so I pretty much took action as soon as you asked. I chose the evening since I felt it would make a much better video than during daytime. I have seen your videos :)
Ah, Newcastle Central (otherwise known as Windy Station) on some days. An incredible evenings worth of mixed variety especially seeing class 60's now some working for Colas Rail with some for GBRF. But, a bit confused: There was a Northern class 156 that was supposed to continue to Carlisle from Chathill but it terminated there? Was there a unit swap between Newcastle and Carlisle?
There must be several windy stations, I always thought that was Nuneaton's nickname! I was a bit confused about the 156 movements. 156468 replaced 156489 at Newcastle on 2N35 but I was on the other side of the station when it arrived 😃. Thanks Ricky!
The only problem I ever had with NCL (used to commute through on the daily from Morpeth) was the Northern side being completely open without any wind blockers. Believe me, waiting on your train to arrive in the early hours, with an autumn wind was not fun. Then again, my job entailed having a hi-vis vest on, and myself and the Greggs bakery team would have a laugh, betting how many people asked me for information..... Sitting there....Drinking a beer and eating a Bacon roll.
Thanks for sharing SomeBloek8895, I had a good giggle to myself about your story. I hope the Greggs team gave you a free sausage roll for your entertainment! 😃
A big station. Nice! Regular question(s): Do you know what does Newcastle refer to and why most of the services are diesel when there are electric cables? Also really cool to hear seabirds :)
What about Lumo Class 803 IETs as Lumo is now in service and their trains stop at Newcastle station. And perhaps Northern should operate a new stopping service between Newcastle-Chathill & Berwick-upon-Tweed using Class 323, Class 321 or Class 319 EMUs. With Transpennine Express serving some stations on the ECML between Newcastle and Edinburgh Waverley.
Transpennine Express are opening a new route in mid 2022 between Newcastle and Edinburgh stopping at.... Cramlington Morpeth Widdrington Alnmouth Reston (when opened) Berwick upon tweed Dunbar East Linton (when opened And Edinburgh

I prefer a 158 on the Glasgow Central - Newcastle bc of the speed
The 156 should be used on stopping services as its top speed is 75
