Hi Tommy and dad! I hope you had a cracking day there and at cramlington and Jake told me all about you! We go to the same school as each other. By the way there is a class 87 87002 Royal sovereign with a class 82 DVT on the rear of it on Friday afternoon. It pulls into Newcastle at 16:57 ill try find cramlington timings
Thank you, we're not sure if we're going to Newcastle to see it or somewhere else. We can't wait though. It was great to meet Jake. Hopefully we bump into him again and maybe you soon 😊
The Prince of Blaydon knows his Azumas, hes a little 🌟 and if im totally honest, I was blissfully unaware of which one was 'Elanor' too, so I bow down to the Little Princes knowledge. 6 freights through Newcastle, you were spoilt lads. Tommy's enthusiasm for trains is a real beacon, so good to see. Dad, if i may make a suggestion, surprise Tommy with a trip to a Diesel Gala, to ride behind some classic traction. The both of you will love it. Another great video, thank you for sharing.
That's an amazing idea!! His birthday is coming up, so I'll take a look. I've never heard of a Diesel Gala, but after googling it, it looks perfect. Thanks so much 😁
@Tommys_Trains best nearest one is the Keighley & Worth Valley or East Lancs Railway. Arguably the best is the Severn Valley at Kidderminister, you might have to include an overnight stay for that. There's plenty diesel galas to view on RUclips.
@Tommys_Trains there's spring and summer Diesel Galas too. East Lancs is a great day out. Train to Manchester Piccadilli then tram downstairs to Bury. It's 10mins walk to East Lancs Railway from Bury.
I am glad Tommy has found a pair of gloves for himself - he looked a lot more comfortable this time. I guess the practical problem with larger stations like Newcastle is that some trains are always going to be too far away to expect to get a response from. Another fascinating spotting session.
Yeah we found his gloves after we'd thought we'd lost them so that was a relief. It's been really cold this week but when we were out last night, we noticed the daylight lasted a bit longer than it had been. Lighter nights are on their way 🙂
@@Tommys_Trains That gives you more of a chance to dash to Cramlington after school when that matches up with your shifts and join in with the other local lads. Spotting has always been a largely male pastime - look at the old black and white photos. Psychologists explain it, like many hobbies, as an example of of our desire to collect things and organise them into groups.
Thank you, he certainly loves his trains. Since school today, he's been Trainspotting again and is currently playing with his track on the living room floor 😁 Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂
I just got home after a cold walk in the country to find you had posted this video. So what better than to put the kettle on for a nice cup of tea and a sit down to watch you both enjoying your passion. Thanks again.
Nice video! btw those orange and yellow class 60s are actually owned by GBRf - you can tell because the word colas has been scrubbed off - I think GBRf bought all the colas 60s a few years back. Keep up the great content :)
@Tommys_Trains I think DC rail freight also bought some too - it's quite convenient because GBRf and DC both have "rail freight" in the name so they only have to get rid of the word colas!
Lovely video!
Thank you 😊
Tommy's enthusiasm always shines through and that always makes dor great videos 👍
I'm glad it comes across as he's so passionate about trains. It's great to share that with other train fans who can understand his love 🙂
6 freights is absolutely lucky! that freight crossover was amazing aswell! Great video!
Thanks Adam. It was incredible when three were there at the same time. We didn't know where to position ourselves 😂

@mickeybarrass3625 I'm just looking at the East Lancashire one. I'll discuss it with his Mam tonight to see if it's possible

Nice video Tommy 6 freight trains lucky you 😀 👍
Yeah we were so happy. It did take a long time to see all 6 but it was worth it 😊
Hi Tommy and dad saw you both on Monday I was on the 1033 Birmingham to Edinburgh😊
That's brilliant, hope you had a nice journey 🙂

Thank you so much 😊
6 freights?! Wow, you must be lucky I barely get any down at my local ECML station. I mainly have to tend to the Stamford line!
Yeah we were extremely lucky, especially when 3 turned up at the same time 🙂

Ah right, I did think that might be the case but wasn't sure. Thanks for letting us know 😊
