NKP 765 in Harrisburg! NS Employee excursions, August 18-19, 2012

Before we usher in 2024, let us first take a glimpse back to 2012, and NS' 21st Century Steam program!
Throughout 2012, Norfolk Southern and the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society collaborated to get S-2 no. 765 running on mainline track throughout NS' system. On 8/18 and 8/19, the 2-8-4 made trips back and forth between Harrisburg and Enola, PA to the delight of rail enthusiasts throughout the area. As I was 9 years old at the time, this is also a formative railfanning memory to me, so I hope you don't mind a little nostalgia! In addition to the steam action at the forefront, this video captures a slice of freight operations as they were over a decade ago. Sit back, relax, and most importantly, enjoy!
