I remember when she was on American Idol and I was just so impressed in awe of her talent. Simon was so hard on her because of her weight at that time. Fantasia went on to win and I always felt that Jennifer Hudson should’ve gotten it. Both ladies can sing but Jennifer touches my soul

When he mentioned her disney cruise job she was sooo excited and happy and then he followed up with "we're gonna get a better performance then a disney cruise performance right?" and you can see the happiness fading from her face. Those guys were assholes with her all along during this show and she proved to them she was born to be a star. Grammy award winning singer and oscar winner actress afterall.
That's because they don't like it when someone comes in to audition and the judges realize as she is singing that she is better than they are. She's a mile better than Randy or Paula ever were.

The week she was eliminated, the phone lines in her home town were down on voting night. That's the only reason she was eliminated. And that's why the judges came up with the save. Randy said they were devestated when Jennifer got sent home.
This came up in my recommendations and was posted 15 years ago. It brought tears to my eyes to see her growth and to reflect on my own growth and wins through the years. You just gotta show up and put your best foot forward! Look at her now! I'm so proud!

Yet there are people who recognise talent when they see. If not for Randy, she would definitely not have been selected here. You can see the expression in other 2's faces. Simon was not at all interested and Paula was almost going to say no till Randy stopped Jen and made that comment- Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant!. You can see Paula and Simon exchanging glances for a sec in that scene. They couldn't say no after such appreciative comment so they just went ahead. What Jen did after that was her ultimately hardwork. I didn;t know who that fat guy was but his eye for talent was remarkable.

Yet there are people who recognise talent when they see. If not for Randy, she would definitely not have been selected here. You can see the expression in other 2's faces. Simon was not at all interested and Paula was almost going to say no till Randy stopped Jen and made that comment- Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant!. You can see Paula and Simon exchanging glances for a sec in that scene. They couldn't say no after such appreciative comment so they just went ahead. What Jen did after that was her ultimately hardwork. I didn;t know who that fat guy was but his eye for talent was remarkable.

Cruise ship performers have the Very incorrect stereotype that they are cheesy, overly energetic 70's cover troupes, or a sleazy lounge acts that actually hate the patrons. I'm thinking he meant that image with his comment.
