So what I’m seeing from these comments is “I don’t like it so that means that she must not like it too. But she says she likes it so she’s a liar.” I bought clothes from thred up. I really liked them. They were nice, they fit me, and they came at a very good price for what I can afford. I was able to get free shipping too. I spent $75 when I could have spent $308 (USD). And yes, I looked on the actual website that the clothes would have been from if I hadn’t bought them from thred up. I believe she was telling the truth because my thred up experiences were the same, good.

I would say the only thing I notice when shopping on that site over the years is to definitely use the filters. Of course shop your size but brands too. You don't have to type in the brand name in the search bar like Mia was doing. You can use the filters to add a whole bunch of brands you like to one search. julia I cannot blame Mia. She is new to the website. I have purchased items as well , with a good experience. It’s just when you are sell to thredup you have to be meticulous about taking pics before sending to them.

I've ordered things from thred up before and it didn't go well. I've ordered things that said "like new". A jacket had buttons barely hanging on, a sweater had the brand label coming off, and some shoes had the inside sole coming in glued. Then when you return clothes even though they were misdescribed you can only get a credit meaning you are stuck buying again, and if they are under a certain price they won't except it back no matter the reason
I HAVE that Fila tennis skirt! SO comfortable! Seeing this makes me even MORE eager to get back to my (near) 100% health for tennis! I was just starting to rank in Australia, so MAD I got real sick... but I’m going to get back! 💪🏻😏
I’ve ordered from thredup twice. Both times I received the items pictured but not as described. Either the size was totally wrong like a 16 instead of a 6 in pants , or the condition wasn’t as expected ( like stains and tiny holes along the seams when it said it was like new). Not worth the hassle to me. But I do love the concept and this was an entertaining video. Amazing luck with everything being as expected and fitting.
Let's be real. A couple of things don't fit her right, she's just biased. Look at the underarms on the grey romper and the grey "cheer" skirt. They're both big on her.
There’s a restocking fee and you have to pay the shipping to return so I didn’t bother. To be fair, if I had wanted to put time into contacting support maybe Thredup could have put a credit on my account or something, but I didn’t want to order anything else at that point so I let it go.
Yeah, this happened to me too. I bought a cardigan that came with large holes and I emailed them and they completely refunded me, which was awesome of them!
HOLY POOP I was literally shopping on thredup as I watched this. I got $500+ worth of clothes for $48.28, AND ONE WAS A PAIR OF JEANS THAT RETAIL FOR $100?! (I also used honey to apply discount codes and your discount code). MY three favorite things: thrifting, online shopping, and not having to leave my couch. Thank you so much for introducing me to this
I've both sent stuff to ThredUp that I got paid for once it was purchased and bought clothes from them. I've had really good success, but have also gotten items that weren't quite what I expected, but I returned them easily, there is a small restock fee now, which sucks, but not a huge deal. I've gotten some basically brand new items for so cheap and I LOVE that!
Mia since you've thrifted this time I'll recommend being more conscious about the fast fashion, I think it's a great beginning! Please look up information about that
Primark will never sell a top for $22, which means thredup is overestimating it more than it should. Almost baiting customers and making them think the item is pricier than it is.
I tried ThredUp last month on another youtubers recommendation and I liked it, although for second hand some of the stuff was still a bit pricey. I got a brand new athletic style sweatshirt and I got multiple compliments the day I wore it lol. I love that the closet clean out kit ships free both ways (i filled up 2 bags) and also returns are easy (I had one shirt with a sneaky hole in it that I only found after I was about to try it on)
Having found the right pair of pants is like having found your soulmate 😭 i cheered for you when all these pants fit like gloves for you Mia!! I haven't found any jeans that fit that well for awhile...🙁
I started shopping on Thred Up thanks to one of your other videos & watching this one makes me want to get more but even now for me it's a bit pricey only because I'm not working a lot right now. Can't wait to shop again.
i’ve tried thredup before and i like it but there are a few things that i hate: 1, you can’t search for a specific thing like striped pink jeans, you had to only pick a category then refine and it still wouldn’t work. 2, the measurements are usually wrong because people are sloppy with clothing categories and often measured the wrong areas, like i bought a pair of levi’s jeans and they said the inseam was long enough for me, but it ended up being wayyy to short. and 3, the descriptions are just massed produced and don’t help when you’re really questioning the quality, like the turtle neck, if it was a stain they should include where it is and a picture of it in detail. Some articles of clothing do have stains and they tell you, but i they need to show where it is because that could really be the make or break deciding point because you don’t want a shirt with a stain on your boob.
Everything you got looked so good! I would love to see you try the Thredup personal styled box. I think they call it the Goody Box, and it's under More Ways to Shop. They also have a Rescue section for clothes that have been around for awhile without selling or clothes that need a little love where it's like a mystery box of pieces for a great deal. That would be interesting to see too.
@@conniedeshazo3031 I honestly don't think so! Look at the arm holes, they're really loose unless the straps are adjustable and she would still need to have it taken in.
on the vest subject, they are great to wear when you are working in the outdoors for example mucking out horses, carrying buckets etc because it meens you can wear a lighter jacket underneath so you have more mobility in your arm movements, so if its freezing outside, snow hail, you name it you get a light weight jacket, throw a vest jacket over the top, get working and bam warm and still able to move just fine

daddyspongebob_ they have to be able to make a profit even after paying for marketing and advertising shipping and employees Why do people think they should get a lot when they sell there
Connie DeShazo oh i never expected to make a fortune but at least more than two dollars lol. Besides they oversell for their stuff. I bought an item for like 30 bucks and they sold it for more. Idk but i personally dont think its s good place to sell or buy from
If your looking to sell your clothes for a profit then I'd say Poshmark is the way to go. You can have your own "closet" and you pick the shipping and selling cost. Once you enter the original price it even calculates how much profit you made.
I felt Mia wasn't honest in the reviews because the gray skirt and the jumper seen a little big in size and she didn't mention it. But I love your videos❤️
Ight guys just because you didn't like it doesn't mean she didn't like it. Like you guys are saying she is honest about her thoughts on clothes. And so what if something fit loose maybe she didn't want it to be fitted in the first place.
Mia! Love the vid. Comment from an actual Business Person 😁 you can totally wear the cheetah top with that blazer in a LOT of office environments! Pair with that pencil shirt and you're good to go pretty much anywhere that's not a law firm or, idk, a Big 4 accounting firm. I thought it looked really cool!
***PLEASE READ*** After watching this I decided to order some things from ThredUp and when it came it was completely fake brands (Levi's, Forever21, etc), and the pictures were different from what I received. I'm not sure why but I just want everyone to be aware if they decide to order from here. I'll be returning some things but sadly some things I can't return :(
I think, it's bc they are sponsoring this video,so they knew like 100% that somebody will be judging these on camera.so they sent everything with best quality unlike you or any other buyer, who don't have such platform to write or share your experiences with the brand........
I've wondered if they would have anything for women my age. And after looking at your video and just a quick look at some of the items you were looking at now I know they do. Congratulations on the sponsored video you earned it. I'm glad they sponsored you. I believe you would put integrity and honesty first. And the outfits you chose are just adorable. That little black dress with white polka dots would look beautiful on you in Hawaii. 🎀🧸🎀
Wow! That was awesome! Your first burnt orange turtleneck was a colour called burnt sienna ....beautiful! Yup a raspberry turtleneck and skirt! Magical! Brightest Blessings!
Hi Mia! So I learned this a few years ago and I thought I would share this hack with you. Usually dress pants (or sometimes just regular pants) that have "fake pockets" on the back are actually pockets!! Before doing this I suggest looking inside the pants to ensure there are actually pockets there, sometimes there is a fabric covering them to keep them in place but you can still feel the shape of the pocket, at the top of the pocket on the outside there is a small thread connecting what is thought to be just fake pocket decoration. Now it may look like you are about to cut the jeans apart but no worries that thread just connects the pocket to the jeans. Don't know why they do this, but I hate when there are no pockets on the back of pants, it also would prevent me from buying most of them. If you have a small booty and they are dark pants, leaving them uncut would make your booty look slightly bigger and more rounded; however, if you are like me and blessed with a curvy back side and they are lighter pants cutting them is the way to go because it will make your booty look bigger than you want it to! Usually a personal preference based on your size, the color of the pants, and the occasion, but I always cut mine.
i love thredup! some of the clothes are a little bit expensive for thrifting, but with coupon codes and sales you can get almost new clothes for a few dollars!
Mia, wash your clothes with baking soda in the Drum and white vinegar in the prewash slot on your machine. It will lift all smells and keep fluffy stuff fluffy. Also helps hair fall off in the dryer. Especially pet hair.
I don’t how it is in the US and Canada but here in Sweden we don’t get anything for giving clothes to thrift shops. Like, not even a penny and we don’t even expect to. Is that...not normal? >.> Is it different when it’s more high value clothes maybe?
Mathilda Nyängs generally no, but you’re shipping your clothes out to get rid of them instead of just dropping them off at a store, so it’s expected to get a little money from them.
@@mathildanyangs4834 im in Denmark, and here we have thrift stores that will pay you for pieces, but it's usually like 1kr or 10kr if it's something REALLY good (like kids snowsuits that sell for 700kr normally) But if you donate to the red cross you don't get money, no
I think thredUP is has great discounts for items that have a retail price of about $40 and over. For cheaper things, the deals don't seem as good. (For example, they listed the original price of that Primark leopard print top as $22 and sold it for $10.99, but in my experience, a top like that would probably be $9-13 in a Primark. But if you can't get it where you are, then I suppose it's a fair price/worth it!)
It's also good that it's reusing old clothes, but I agree. It's definitely more worth it for more expensive items. I got a couple nice leather bags from Madewell through them for half the price. 👌

@@veliciawilliams1081 this is the only experience you receive with thread up. Mia is completely selling out by taking a sponsor from them.

It’s just when you are sell to thredup you have to be meticulous about taking pics before sending to them.
If this were anyone else they would annoy me but there is just something about her that is so likeable. She does just like me when telling a story, it's long but she is just so cute and real, no fake to her..

The cheetah print t-shirt is no way 22 dollars in primark shirts like that are 10 dollars or less so you they got you! Xxxxx
yente taeymans I was thinking the same! In the UK you wouldn’t pay more than £8 for a top like that from primark.
!!!!
She maybe converting to CAD
I was about to comment that! Primark for 22 dollars... NO WAY!
Keep in mind Canadian prices are usually higher than others

I've ordered things from thred up before and it didn't go well. I've ordered things that said "like new". A jacket had buttons barely hanging on, a sweater had the brand label coming off, and some shoes had the inside sole coming in glued. Then when you return clothes even though they were misdescribed you can only get a credit meaning you are stuck buying again, and if they are under a certain price they won't except it back no matter the reason
Good to know! Thanks!

Pixie Place Seems hit or miss. Were you able to return them?
Let's be real. A couple of things don't fit her right, she's just biased. Look at the underarms on the grey romper and the grey "cheer" skirt. They're both big on her.
There’s a restocking fee and you have to pay the shipping to return so I didn’t bother. To be fair, if I had wanted to put time into contacting support maybe Thredup could have put a credit on my account or something, but I didn’t want to order anything else at that point so I let it go.
Yeah, this happened to me too. I bought a cardigan that came with large holes and I emailed them and they completely refunded me, which was awesome of them!
No luck needed when it's sponsored ;)
HOLY POOP I was literally shopping on thredup as I watched this. I got $500+ worth of clothes for $48.28, AND ONE WAS A PAIR OF JEANS THAT RETAIL FOR $100?! (I also used honey to apply discount codes and your discount code). MY three favorite things: thrifting, online shopping, and not having to leave my couch. Thank you so much for introducing me to this
Mia for 35 minutes?! and it’s a try on haul of inexpensive things?! This is my favorite video ever created on this app
I've both sent stuff to ThredUp that I got paid for once it was purchased and bought clothes from them. I've had really good success, but have also gotten items that weren't quite what I expected, but I returned them easily, there is a small restock fee now, which sucks, but not a huge deal. I've gotten some basically brand new items for so cheap and I LOVE that!
it would be cool if you did a video " prom dresses from thred up"
Hi Mia, I'm a 62 year young lady from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. I've been shopping at Thredup for a couple of years now, thanks for sharing this site.
Mia since you've thrifted this time I'll recommend being more conscious about the fast fashion, I think it's a great beginning! Please look up information about that
THISSS. i wanna sypport everything she does but all those fast fashion vids...yikes
I don't think she will tbh. Fast fashion is how she makes her money

I’d love to see you try vintage styles, like Elsie’s Attic, Dolly & Dotty, Lindy Bop, Hell Bunny etc.
Primark will never sell a top for $22, which means thredup is overestimating it more than it should. Almost baiting customers and making them think the item is pricier than it is.
She could have converted it from pounds to CAD though
Well 22CAD is 12,53GBP so I feel like it could make sense
Exactly
Anna Fatima, you think , you’re only guessing
The Zara dress is 17.99€ = 23$ (I have it)
When she said “I could never sell my clothes they all would have stains on them” I was like “ GIRL SAME “ lol
I feel like the grey shirt you’re wearing in the sitting down sections is a pajama top from primark because I have the same one
It seems like every store i find cute pajamas at lately they come with that same type of shirt.
I tried ThredUp last month on another youtubers recommendation and I liked it, although for second hand some of the stuff was still a bit pricey. I got a brand new athletic style sweatshirt and I got multiple compliments the day I wore it lol. I love that the closet clean out kit ships free both ways (i filled up 2 bags) and also returns are easy (I had one shirt with a sneaky hole in it that I only found after I was about to try it on)
Other RUclipsrs : imma go thrift shopping cause it’s a trend

I started shopping on Thred Up thanks to one of your other videos & watching this one makes me want to get more but even now for me it's a bit pricey only because I'm not working a lot right now. Can't wait to shop again.
I love going to thrift stores because it’s cheaper, and it’s so fun when you find something really awesome!
I love the idea of thread up so that clothes aren’t just going to the landfill
Okay please post a pic of the pencil skirt, turtle neck, and the business jacket. I need to see the combo
Just placed my order, got steve madden wedges for only $7!! 😍 So glad she did a video on them plus the 30 percent off! 🙌🏻
i’ve tried thredup before and i like it but there are a few things that i hate: 1, you can’t search for a specific thing like striped pink jeans, you had to only pick a category then refine and it still wouldn’t work.
Just finished watching maplesquared’s video and now I’m here hehe

on the vest subject, they are great to wear when you are working in the outdoors for example mucking out horses, carrying buckets etc because it meens you can wear a lighter jacket underneath so you have more mobility in your arm movements, so if its freezing outside, snow hail, you name it you get a light weight jacket, throw a vest jacket over the top, get working and bam warm and still able to move just fine

i sold stuff to them and they were sold on there for like 17 each and i got maybe a dollar for them 😭
daddyspongebob_ they have to be able to make a profit even after paying for marketing and advertising shipping and employees
Why do people think they should get a lot when they sell there
Connie DeShazo oh i never expected to make a fortune but at least more than two dollars lol. Besides they oversell for their stuff. I bought an item for like 30 bucks and they sold it for more. Idk but i personally dont think its s good place to sell or buy from
Try depop or poshmark or Ebay you can get more that's what I usually do unless you're just looking to get rid of it quick
If your looking to sell your clothes for a profit then I'd say Poshmark is the way to go. You can have your own "closet" and you pick the shipping and selling cost. Once you enter the original price it even calculates how much profit you made.
This is absolutely my favorite haul you’ve EVER done!!! And it’s even better because it’s thrift clothing......
I felt Mia wasn't honest in the reviews because the gray skirt and the jumper seen a little big in size and she didn't mention it.
But I love your videos❤️
I also noticed she was saying she loved things or that they fit really well when they didn't look good :(
MD AC I understand what saying but you never know maybe she did really like it or thought the romper fit nicely 🤷🏻♀️
Ight guys just because you didn't like it doesn't mean she didn't like it. Like you guys are saying she is honest about her thoughts on clothes. And so what if something fit loose maybe she didn't want it to be fitted in the first place.
It’s sponsored.. I believe that’s why. I don’t know however

you should do a thrift with me! or maybe a trying on everything in my closet/ cleaning out my closet!!💞
Mia: selects exclude one size
Moments later(spongebob narrator voice)
Mia: searches Brandy Melville
i love thredup! some of the clothes are a little bit expensive for thrifting, but with coupon codes and sales you can get almost new clothes for a few dollars!
The short sleeve turtle neck would look great with your “business” jacket
Mia, wash your clothes with baking soda in the Drum and white vinegar in the prewash slot on your machine. It will lift all smells and keep fluffy stuff fluffy. Also helps hair fall off in the dryer. Especially pet hair.
My mom tried to sell her clothes there and only got quarters for each thing
Emily Briney they have to be able to cover the price of advertising, shipping employees to process sort hang.
Cost a lot to run a business
Connie DeShazo that’s no excuse to charge $15.99 for an item and give someone a quarter.
@@mathildanyangs4834 im in Denmark, and here we have thrift stores that will pay you for pieces, but it's usually like 1kr or 10kr if it's something REALLY good (like kids snowsuits that sell for 700kr normally)
But if you donate to the red cross you don't get money, no
The way she says tag and bag is so adorable 🥺
I think thredUP is has great discounts for items that have a retail price of about $40 and over. For cheaper things, the deals don't seem as good.
(For example, they listed the original price of that Primark leopard print top as $22 and sold it for $10.99, but in my experience, a top like that would probably be $9-13 in a Primark. But if you can't get it where you are, then I suppose it's a fair price/worth it!)
It's also good that it's reusing old clothes, but I agree. It's definitely more worth it for more expensive items. I got a couple nice leather bags from Madewell through them for half the price. 👌
It's Canadian $
