I already have the 521’s. What else do i need to get beside the clarion for this install? Can you now hear what theyre actually singing about on the freeway? Lol. Thats what im hoping for, thanks.
Chad, Appreciate the video, I upgraded my speakers with the Polk DB522. Although better sound, the stock amp sux. I purchased a NVX VADM2 amp. I am not worried about taking most of the Fairing apart, My main concern is wiring this puppy back up. Where did you install the ground? Did you connect positive straight to the battery? Well the biggest question of all, How is your system doing? Battery holding up? Thanks for posting.
Great update, I had to laugh as I thought this was a Harley after you started it and the camera shook while you were seated.... hahaha
Holy crap. You have a huge set of nuts to take your bike apart!!!! I shat bricks damn near everytime i took off the fairing on my vic xc.
Nice video very in depth!

How has the amp held up to the heat in fairing? I'm doing the same install right now.
Did your faring shake verybad with out that brace?
where did you ground it? how does it sound while riding?
What did you use for the remote power?
Diamond amps and speakers will outperform this system by 100 percent.
How do you feel about it at highway speeds?
hook into the same wires as the factory amp
I made the mistake and took that front bolt off of the chrome tank cover. Never again. I cussed for 15 minutes putting it back in.
Jacob James yep glue the washer to the head so the washer stays up out of the way, pre-start the bolt and slide the chrome cover on over it..voila
Well you need to learn the trick of the trade` put cardboard down and a few towels to protect the parts from being scratched.
The ONLY complaint I have with the Chieftain, is the stock speakers. THEY SUCK HARD!
Put your parts on a protected surface, not on the concrete
