Thank you for this Jewel. I grappled for years with this aspect. Chose logical path and career when my life long dream was to write a book. Started and stopped so many times. Now finally at peace with following and carrying out progressive stages of the creative process. My ducks are lined up now and it’s going to happen. No more fear of failure, which is so crippling. I think ppl with this aspect kindve has this harsh air about them... especially the way the communicate.... they get easily offended over everything!! And can take things all up the ass... Great video. If you can't trust your rational process, I find you can't really trust your emotions, since emotions are endlessly changing and not a good guide for living. It can take a lot of therapy to untangle. A good friend with more clarity can be helpful if you can't afford therapy. Basically if you don't have good parenting to help you deal with this aspect, it can keep you from developing trust in your own experience. It can leave you with a weak ego structure which causes a lot of instability and mental distress. In my experience, this is hard to fix, though not impossible!
Related a lot to this comment. But where do you start in therapy? Do you show up and say, 'I can' t trust my own experience. I second guess all my feelings.' Is there a mode of therapy that's usually used to help with stuff like this?

Painfully true. Right now I also have Neptune opposing my Mercury by transit, in addition to the natal square and it focuses my attention towards resolving the square related issues. I love the clarity of the suggested question in the end, you are right, asking what is the right action to take just keeps me stuck. I've started acting on my dreams, not just waiting for them, and the first thing I saw is my fear of taking any decision, the desire to just stay in the dream. There’s this guy I know that has this aspect 🙄 on top of that, he has a Scorpio sun, Leo moon. I don’t fully know him as well as I should and I could still see this aspect in him so clearly. He’s so irrational. He does NOT take a loss very well. Extremely competitive, sort of a soar loser. It’s crazy that I see all of this. That in itself proves that ppl don’t pay enough attention to natal aspects. A lot of us don’t think that it takes a very big toll on our personality, but it actually does.

This is a super cool interpretation and very spot on for me. My Mercury is in pisces in the 12th house square Neptune in the 9th, it´s also opposing Saturn in the 6th. Fears and over active imagination are definitely my number one obstacles. It can be debilitating at times. My Mercury is also inconjunct Pluto - I wonder how this aspect works? There is not much information on it.
I just watched your Mercury conjunct Mars video and now this Mercury square Neptune. Both aspects which I have and this is very true. I can see the cause of my attention difficulties plus my Mercury is highly aspected. It is also conjunct Jupiter, square Uranus and trine Saturn Retrograde. I think that trine to Saturn is what helps me get things done and helps a bit with the focus otherwise..Yikes.... I understand myself much better now. Thank you so much. Very interesting. I have my Sun square my Mars, Sun square to Neptune and Neptune in opposition to Mars along with this aspect. So for me it shows up as not enough follow through. For me it's me putting myself out there, but freaking out that people took interest... because I didn't think they would and then failing to follow through with the plan. Or me creating a choreography, but being afraid of imposter syndrome and being called out. You said that concentration is hard which is true for me. Especially as an Scorpio Mercury myself. And how it definitely Is Not about other people; it's about our self-perceptions. Definitely. I have a mercury in Gemini 8th house conjunct my lilith by less than 1 degree. The only harsh aspect I have with my mercury is the opposition with my Jupiter in sag in the 2nd house (retrograde). My mum has mercury in aqua (12th house + 12th house south node and stellium) square to her neptune in scorpio 9th house and it’s HARD. She’s also a pisces sun, rising (so pisces in the 1st house) so let’s just say she’s the queen of victimization…. Seriously. Denial is like breathing to her and sometimes I feel like losing my mind because I stay true to the facts and reality even when I talk about astrology and she looks at me like I was insane when I say things she doesn’t understand. I don’t think I will ever be able to have a « normal » relationship with her because I can’t even trust her anymore. I’m sure she lies about some things to protect herself but it’s tiring. If you plan on having kids and have this mercury square neptune aspect… make sure you read a ton of books on how to educate etc. My mum used to beat us « to discipline us »… she says things like we deserved worse than the beatings she gave us when it was clear that she was acting like mt father when he was beating her and we were babies. Anyway… a LOT of subconscious things manifest in her reality and I’m tired of seeing it like it is while she’s in a bubble or I don’t know what. It has been years and years that she’s procrastinating on writing a book. May it not be a Pisces moon… Regardless, I’ve endured both sides of the spectrum, one parent completely gave me childhood to adolescent (+) difficulties to whereas my other parent genuinely never laid hands to harm me. And I was definitely in favor of the one who truly showed love towards me.* So I understand where you’re coming from. Definitely not my concern when it comes to children… I feel I’ve endured & learnt, to witnessed in my life, to definitely know better. I would never do such thing/harm to be honest. ♥️🫣 Aside astrology… Since I’m young, I wouldn’t have any anytime soon because realistically of my own situation but also because I’d care to feel more secure in my life & with my own self. I have the opposition and a lot of this felt close! That part about not trusting what's uncertain, not being able to integrate it into practical life! Also the not trusting my own brain thing! Why is there no information out there about personal planet aspects to North Node? I have Sun square North Node and Sun square South Node. I don't even really get how that works to be square to both. But nevertheless, would you consider doing a Natal Sun Square North Node video?
Mercury in Aries Square Neptune in Capricorn. For real lotsa battles with illusions, also in my 7th house so the interpretations i've read online have been a real downer haha, Other aspects have soften this aspect and consciously stay observant to thoughts and emotions. Having a Aries venus has made crushing on people easily but not necessarilly wisely because of various hard aspects so wisened up and slowed down.

I have this square at a really tight degree at 0.05 . I have a speech impediment , I sometimes forget certain words or maybe even say words I have no idea the meaning of it and turn out it correlates with exactly what I’m trying to say .. can’t explain it lol I daydream OFTEN. It really depends on what side of Neptune they are on. The illusion side is where most people err and think they are the side of clarity. It’s self deception that masquerades as the truth or clarity. I don’t subscribe to Sabian symbols because they are too suspicious in origin. I am not going there. Neptune is like a bank of fog that reflects one’s projections and expectations. Those who drop the images of what they want to see and those who no longer require a certain outcome can be enveloped in the healthy side of Neptune. The side of surrender.
Does this aspect also create confusion in communication due to not knowing how they really feel? E.g., he says he thinks of me all the time but doesn't like me much...yet he says he cares about me and worries when he upsets me... My mum have this aspect… with a south node in aqua 12th house. And a stellium in aqua 12th house. With a pisces sun in the 1st house so pisces rising and moon in Sagittarius 10th house. I am her child, a Scorpio moon in the 1st house. Scorpio rising. Taurus sun in the 7th house. My moon is closely conjunct my north node in the 1st house. One of my most complicated aspects are definitely my mercury conjunct my lilith in 8th house that is very talkative when my Scorpio moon just want to shut up forever sometimes. I also have traumas of course with lilith in 8th house :). I also have mercury in Gemini opposite my Jupiter in sag 2nd house. I definitely like to exaggerate when I talk (say a thousand times instead of saying 10 times) but I always make sure it’s obvious and known I have no interest whatsoever in self deception to be honest… it’s a fear of mine to be self deceptive and I’m very much tempted to end my life lately because of that. I don’t want to live a fake life, I love the truth more than anything. My mercury in Gemini in the 8th house is sometimes scary though… I don’t know if it’s also my Scorpio moon conjunct mt north node but sometimes I definitely feel things in advance, I also try to work hard on my spiritual self since it’s part of my north node. My dad is pisces moon but doesn’t live with us and even my stepmother is pisces… So let’s just say I was gaslighted my whole life because I SEE the reality as it is and I like the facts because I’m not scared of the truth at all but they successfully managed to make me think and believe that I was the problem. I’m the problem because I remember in details all the abuse (not every single time because it was that often) and when I talk about it… it’s as if I was insane, making it up and even disrespectful to remember abuse from parents… I don’t understand the pisces mentality with denying abuse and traumas as a form of survival. It’s just weird to me…. And I will never respect that because these people abuse you and forget and when you can’t deal with it anymore they act like you were the abuser… like one time my father told me that he was forgiving me when I didn’t ask for forgiveness at all. I just said I’m sorry while breaking down because I didn’t see myself continuing living but I didn’t say sorry to him since I had nothing to be sorry about. I was almost like a willing slave my whole childhood + traumas that are very deep. So why would I be sorry? DO NOT go above and beyond if you live with a family full of pisces. I know it will be tempting to clean more and do more things since these people can’t clean to save their life and they keep the weirdest things with them… just don’t do it and try to leave as soon as possible because these people will only remember when they cleaned for you. Even if they did 3 times in their life and you did it at least 500 times. There’s no need to argue with a pisces themed person. Even worse if they have mercury square neptune OR 12th house stellium OR pisces mercury (the worst in my opinion… these people hear « blue » when you say « red » so no need to even try. Most of them survive in this society just by pretending at this point like most of us lol) Let’s not forget that John Wayne Gacy is the perfect example of a pisces themed person who doesn’t want to work on themselves. The guy was sag rising, pisces sun and mercury in 4th house and pisces south node 4th house. These people lie and lie and lie… there’s another story of a guy that is in France (I live in France and I’m a French speaker originally)… his name is Jean Claude Romand… and this story really shocked me because it’s totally what a heavy pisces person could do in my opinion, after living with them for so long I can attest they are very much capable of violence; I have seen it from my own eyes. So this guy had a wife and kids and a dog and they were living a « normal » life of him working as a very good job and the wife taking care of kids and house… until one day the guy let the gas in the house and shortly after the house caught fire (it was intentional from him) and everyone died but him and maybe the dog survived. when he was at the hospital, the guy didn’t even care about his wife or kids he just asked if the dog was fine. They also discovered that this guy actually didn’t even have a job in the UNESCO and wasn’t a doctor like he pretended to be. He used to go everyday in parking lots to read magazines about medicine so he could lie to his surrounding and family about what he’s doing. How did he manage to have money and a house without a job? By lying because he used to promise people he knew that they were going To be rich if they give him money to put into trading or into the stocks market and they believed him since he was known as a doctor and a guy that works with very important people. But it was aaaaaall a lie and that’s why he burned the house and killed his family. He started running out of money and people started suspecting he didn’t know that much about the stock market. Guess what mercury sign this guy has ? Mercury in pisces….. They say Gemini are liars…… he was a Gemini moon (same combo as my youngest sister who lied her whole life and get butt hurt when i can’t trust her anymore…. She’s a pisces sun 10th house conjunct south node, moon in Gemini and Gemini rising with pisces mercury. She used to say people at school that we usually come home in an helicopter and she expected me to follow her lies and lie for her but it was too much for me to lie about…. I think ppl with this aspect kindve has this harsh air about them... especially the way the communicate.... they get easily offended over everything!! And can take things all up the ass... Ariana grande is a prime example of this... it’s this sort of air that is ready for a confrontation socially speaking... these types of ppl I generally avoid just because of the sensitivities and overly active imagination....

Great video. If you can't trust your rational process, I find you can't really trust your emotions, since emotions are endlessly changing and not a good guide for living. It can take a lot of therapy to untangle. A good friend with more clarity can be helpful if you can't afford therapy. Basically if you don't have good parenting to help you deal with this aspect, it can keep you from developing trust in your own experience. It can leave you with a weak ego structure which causes a lot of instability and mental distress. In my experience, this is hard to fix, though not impossible!

There’s this guy I know that has this aspect 🙄 on top of that, he has a Scorpio sun, Leo moon. I don’t fully know him as well as I should and I could still see this aspect in him so clearly. He’s so irrational. He does NOT take a loss very well. Extremely competitive, sort of a soar loser. It’s crazy that I see all of this. That in itself proves that ppl don’t pay enough attention to natal aspects. A lot of us don’t think that it takes a very big toll on our personality, but it actually does.

This is a super cool interpretation and very spot on for me. My Mercury is in pisces in the 12th house square Neptune in the 9th, it´s also opposing Saturn in the 6th. Fears and over active imagination are definitely my number one obstacles. It can be debilitating at times. My Mercury is also inconjunct Pluto - I wonder how this aspect works? There is not much information on it.
I just watched your Mercury conjunct Mars video and now this Mercury square Neptune. Both aspects which I have and this is very true. I can see the cause of my attention difficulties plus my Mercury is highly aspected. It is also conjunct Jupiter, square Uranus and trine Saturn Retrograde. I think that trine to Saturn is what helps me get things done and helps a bit with the focus otherwise..Yikes.... I understand myself much better now. Thank you so much. Very interesting. I have my Sun square my Mars, Sun square to Neptune and Neptune in opposition to Mars along with this aspect. So for me it shows up as not enough follow through. For me it's me putting myself out there, but freaking out that people took interest... because I didn't think they would and then failing to follow through with the plan. Or me creating a choreography, but being afraid of imposter syndrome and being called out.

I have a mercury in Gemini 8th house conjunct my lilith by less than 1 degree. The only harsh aspect I have with my mercury is the opposition with my Jupiter in sag in the 2nd house (retrograde).
My mum has mercury in aqua (12th house + 12th house south node and stellium) square to her neptune in scorpio 9th house and it’s HARD. She’s also a pisces sun, rising (so pisces in the 1st house) so let’s just say she’s the queen of victimization….

Denial is like breathing to her and sometimes I feel like losing my mind because I stay true to the facts and reality even when I talk about astrology and she looks at me like I was insane when I say things she doesn’t understand. Definitely not my concern when it comes to children… I feel I’ve endured & learnt, to witnessed in my life, to definitely know better. I have the opposition and a lot of this felt close! That part about not trusting what's uncertain, not being able to integrate it into practical life! Also the not trusting my own brain thing! Also makes it hard to really trust others. For real lotsa battles with illusions, also in my 7th house so the interpretations i've read online have been a real downer haha, Other aspects have soften this aspect and consciously stay observant to thoughts and emotions. Having a Aries venus has made crushing on people easily but not necessarilly wisely because of various hard aspects so wisened up and slowed down.

It really depends on what side of Neptune they are on. The illusion side is where most people err and think they are the side of clarity. It’s self deception that masquerades as the truth or clarity. I don’t subscribe to Sabian symbols because they are too suspicious in origin. I am not going there. Neptune is like a bank of fog that reflects one’s projections and expectations. Those who drop the images of what they want to see and those who no longer require a certain outcome can be enveloped in the healthy side of Neptune. The side of surrender.

My mum have this aspect… with a south node in aqua 12th house. And a stellium in aqua 12th house. With a pisces sun in the 1st house so pisces rising and moon in Sagittarius 10th house.
I am her child, a Scorpio moon in the 1st house. Scorpio rising. Taurus sun in the 7th house. My moon is closely conjunct my north node in the 1st house.
One of my most complicated aspects are definitely my mercury conjunct my lilith in 8th house that is very talkative when my Scorpio moon just want to shut up forever sometimes. I also have traumas of course with lilith in 8th house :). I also have mercury in Gemini opposite my Jupiter in sag 2nd house. I definitely like to exaggerate when I talk (say a thousand times instead of saying 10 times) but I always make sure it’s obvious and known I have no interest whatsoever in self deception to be honest… it’s a fear of mine to be self deceptive and I’m very much tempted to end my life lately because of that. I don’t want to live a fake life, I love the truth more than anything.
My mercury in Gemini in the 8th house is sometimes scary though… I don’t know if it’s also my Scorpio moon conjunct mt north node but sometimes I definitely feel things in advance, I also try to work hard on my spiritual self since it’s part of my north node. I will say a mercury in Gemini is amazing to learn new things etc but the decisiveness is sometimes hard because I can be ok and make progress at so many things and develop so many skills by myself and easily but don’t ask me what I want to do in my career because my mercury in Gemini see it as 2-3 jobs or nothing. I can’t see myself working on only 1 thing because my mercury in Gemini is VERY curious and it’s non stop. I learn rather quick but if I don’t like something I become dumb. I can force myself to like things intellectually though (I had to when I was studying lol). I also always have to learn something it’s just a blessing in this way to have mercury in Gemini in 8th house but since mine is conjunct mt lilith by less than 1 degree… I often find myself speaking my mind before my Scorpio moon can intervene and it’s annoying because oversharing is definitely from my mercury -_-.
But anyway… I have found out that even if my mercury conjunct lilith in 8th house is also about my harshest traumas. (My sun square my mars in Leo too I think. Grew up in a lot of violence, became violent and now I’m just on guards since I’m a woman and I attract a lot of attention with my Pluto in scorpio 1st house I feel like).
But let me tell you it’s a whole other story when you deal with someone that is your mother and that has a south node, stellium in 12th house. But also this mercury square neptune….. I can’t even explain it. It’s a lot to handle…. A lot of little lies to me when I was a kid from my mum. She denies sooooooo much and me as a Scorpio moon… I can’t trust someone who lies over and over.
My example with my mum and her mercury square neptune (+ I suspect her pisces rising for victimization and illusion + her south node stellium in aqua 12th house)… let’s just say that this woman found it normal to be beaten up as a kid by her family then ended up with my father who was beating her up… to end up beating us (my mum) so unfairly for years… she’s still in denial about that and she act like I was the cause for all this violence because I used to fight with my sister (which is true I used to fight with her but only because we were taught violence as a solution to our frustration and it’s totally ok to have misunderstandings with siblings but my parents used to punish us or put us against each other instead of teaching us real love and respect like parents should). I can recognize so many things but when you live in family fullllll of pisces energy…. Just run for your mental sanity. Both my sisters are pisces and my mum too…. My dad is pisces moon but doesn’t live with us and even my stepmother is pisces… So let’s just say I was gaslighted my whole life because I SEE the reality as it is and I like the facts because I’m not scared of the truth at all but they successfully managed to make me think and believe that I was the problem. I’m the problem because I remember in details all the abuse (not every single time because it was that often) and when I talk about it… it’s as if I was insane, making it up and even disrespectful to remember abuse from parents… I don’t understand the pisces mentality with denying abuse and traumas as a form of survival. It’s just weird to me…. And I will never respect that because these people abuse you and forget and when you can’t deal with it anymore they act like you were the abuser… like one time my father told me that he was forgiving me when I didn’t ask for forgiveness at all. I just said I’m sorry while breaking down because I didn’t see myself continuing living but I didn’t say sorry to him since I had nothing to be sorry about. I was almost like a willing slave my whole childhood + traumas that are very deep. So why would I be sorry?
DO NOT go above and beyond if you live with a family full of pisces. I know it will be tempting to clean more and do more things since these people can’t clean to save their life and they keep the weirdest things with them… just don’t do it and try to leave as soon as possible because these people will only remember when they cleaned for you. Even if they did 3 times in their life and you did it at least 500 times. There’s no need to argue with a pisces themed person. Even worse if they have mercury square neptune OR 12th house stellium OR pisces mercury (the worst in my opinion… these people hear « blue » when you say « red » so no need to even try. Most of them survive in this society just by pretending at this point like most of us lol)
Let’s not forget that John Wayne Gacy is the perfect example of a pisces themed person who doesn’t want to work on themselves. The guy was sag rising, pisces sun and mercury in 4th house and pisces south node 4th house. These people lie and lie and lie… there’s another story of a guy that is in France (I live in France and I’m a French speaker originally)… his name is Jean Claude Romand… and this story really shocked me because it’s totally what a heavy pisces person could do in my opinion, after living with them for so long I can attest they are very much capable of violence; I have seen it from my own eyes. So this guy had a wife and kids and a dog and they were living a « normal » life of him working as a very good job and the wife taking care of kids and house… until one day the guy let the gas in the house and shortly after the house caught fire (it was intentional from him) and everyone died but him and maybe the dog survived. when he was at the hospital, the guy didn’t even care about his wife or kids he just asked if the dog was fine. They also discovered that this guy actually didn’t even have a job in the UNESCO and wasn’t a doctor like he pretended to be. He used to go everyday in parking lots to read magazines about medicine so he could lie to his surrounding and family about what he’s doing. How did he manage to have money and a house without a job? By lying because he used to promise people he knew that they were going
To be rich if they give him money to put into trading or into the stocks market and they believed him since he was known as a doctor and a guy that works with very important people. But it was aaaaaall a lie and that’s why he burned the house and killed his family. He started running out of money and people started suspecting he didn’t know that much about the stock market. Guess what mercury sign this guy has ? Mercury in pisces…..
They say Gemini are liars…… he was a Gemini moon (same combo as my youngest sister who lied her whole life and get butt hurt when i can’t trust her anymore…. She used to say people at school that we usually come home in an helicopter and she expected me to follow her lies and lie for her but it was too much for me to lie about…. So she sees me as a traitor because I wasn’t backing up her grandiose lies… She doesn’t have the easiest chart at all so I will give her that). But anyway… if you think Gemini mercury / lilith are liars…. Then you have never met a pisces mercury it’s a whole other level of deception that no mercury in Gemini is capable of. At least for me mercury in Gemini in 8th house I do lie and a lot but only because 90% of the time I can’t talk about other peoples stuff without their consent so I have to make up lies to « protect » my family or I lie to protect myself but I will never lie about something huge. Except once. I lied about passing my grade (because I wanted to see if my family was still going to expect me to be there for them despite me passing my grade or they would leave me alone and they didn’t leave me alone. I also wanted to prove to myself how easy it was to fool them.) us people with mercury in Gemini 8th house are « capable » intellectually of forming the most believable lies and paying attention to details. But I have no pleasure or enjoyment from that like a pisces mercury would dream and fantasize so they kind of find pleasure in deception whereas I don’t at all and if I do lie it’s because I have to and I have been used to being punished and beaten for saying the truth so… my motto is that not everyone deserve the truth and I owe the truth to those who deserve it, which means those who can handle it. Unfortunately my whole family can’t handle the truth, they see it as toxi
