As a person that's played wizard and necro I personally think they are fairly equal in pve. Wizard had more mobility and maybe slightly easier in pvp. Wizard does have more flashy skills and the combos are nice. But I kinda enjoy necro more.
You can also Fear the goblins and with a chip you basically just fear to one shot done because of the curse on it plus your bile prox on it so it ticks down before it regains movement from fearing
I bet the Mage CC on treasure Hunter is a bug. I can’t think of any other reason why only one class can CC them. The special ability on mages also chills them to a crawl along with every other CC option on mage. I had no idea other classes cannot do this.
The Portals activate as soon as you buy the Empowered Battle Pass. This is why I wasnt able to activate it on my ALT that has the weapon and armor cosmetics. I was on my main when I bought the Battle Pass. For some reason, they didn't make it so that we can apply it to whichever account we want by wearing it instead of buying it. Ive had to go against LeeJin a few times, and he has an Ice Armor Scorch Balls combo that allows him to use his Teleport and Primary Attack freely. It hits hard and allows him to get into melee. Im thinking about trying it with a Howler's Call. Ive also got Echoing Shade that allows two shadows, so I think that it can work well if Im spamming the Primary.
@@yonnyeth-lachance4669 yes and no.. If you didn't reach a new threshold for a higher hell difficulty then its not really that important.. Doest matter if you have 4000 or 4200 CR.. You are way higher as Hell 4 recommended and you are way too low for Hell 5. Intelligence is way better in such a case.
The best build for Necromancer is recommended build #2, as long as you change the helmet, armor, shoulders, and pants. Use the secondary gear set, gems, skills, weapon and chest but change the helmet, armor, shoulders and pants --- you'll be unstoppable. I cant remember the last time that I died. Helmet - Skullveil - Increases Mage Duration by 30%. Armor - Cloak of Quills - Your summons grow spikes that add additional damage to enemies. Shoulders - Shared Service - Bone Armor Reduces Continual DMG taken by 40%. Pants - Graven Bulwork - Bone Armor Duration increased by 30%. The changes to recommended build is based on replacing (range) skeletal archers with (melee) normal skeletons, and turning 4 skeletons, a mage, and a golemn into an unstoppable shield and melee attacking force. You basically have 6 summons that shield you from everything at the same time, literally destroy everything, esp with the cloak of quills. I smash Ancient Elites, and any other boss within a couple of seconds and literally take like, a few hits every now n then. My health is rarely below 90%. You're replacing skeletal archers (range) with normal skeletons (melee) so the skeletons bone armor spikes can do 4x more damage than the skeletal archers. ***btw*** this build is especially beneficial to create high combos while farming. After destroying a mob, you can slide your skeletons or golemn to the next mob, or you can run to the next mob while your summons are attacking the current mob.*** If you wanna use this build, all you gotta do is just slide your skeletons to the mob, spawn your golemn, mage, cast the bone armor, destroy the mob, then slide your golemn or skeletons to the next mob to continue your combo. Btw, if you ever encounter strong range enemies, you can slide your golemn to the archer thats attacking you. Everytime you slide your golemn, or make it leap toward an enemy, they automatically start attacking the golemn for 6 seconds. Also, if you use treasure hunter, you'll drop tons of energy globes, which allow you to respawn mages and bone armor tons of times... sometimes I have 3 mages running around with a golemn and skeltons with the cloak of quills.

I have been a wizard since I started the game I just don’t have it in me to move classes. This is my very first Diablo game. Any other game I played I’ve always been a Barbarian or a tank lol
Hi all. I am just starting out as a casual player. Probably just PVE due to time restrictions. Do you have a recommendation for a class that is not monotonous. I have played Diablo games in the past but haven’t finished due to getting bored mid way through. My interest leans toward necro but not sure. Thanks!
Bone Spirits needs to be paired up with Drifter's Fare. With it you make 2 attacking ghost skulls. I have only 405 Res and 3612 CR, but these skulls deal 7079 damage. Not using this made challenge rift 106 impossible to do on time, with it the floor was completed with time to spare. Also the skill scales 1 for 1 for each new damage increase.
The most enjoyable classes for me are Necro and Mage. However, between both, I chose to stay as a mage because my main issue with necro was single target dmg. Necro's summons is crazy good but their damage is all over the place.
Also like D2 and other Diablo games it's horrible when Necro's die like the golem is a 30 second cooldown I think lol so you pretty much have no spells
My favorite PVP strat is to teleport 2 times in , leave a gravity bomb ( take a gravity bong rip ) and use my last teleport to get away while the bomb explodes. Its so fun. Im busy with D2R , but maybe ill come back to F2P Diablo Immortal. You both look like you are having fun with the game and that's good.
I wish it wasn’t so. I’ve been wizard since day one using battle pass and now all the top spenders on my server are wizard so trying to do well in the challenge rifts are impossibly difficult with just battle pass.
I use full grace of the flagellant set on my necro, slowing dark curse, bleeding spikes, posion spikes and CC - I love it in PVP and PVE too and I don't care which class is "better" cause it's fun to use those DoTs. :)

Ok 2 things... treasure goblins can be cc'd also by backbone slow. Second you forgot that necro spikes have a 3x targeted knock up and bleed with 2 pieces. I forget the armor pieces
DM rated wizard bottom tier a month ago. A month ago! DM and Kire had wizard as a bottom of the barrel class well below everything else. Now wizard is overpowered? Both DH and Necro are strong counters to wizard if played correctly.
You can go watch my video from 3 months ago and I put Wizard close to top tier. But regardless, people get different experiences and test the game more which evolves their opinion. As soon as we discourage people changing their mind the sooner we get ignorant bigotry.

The video I’m referring to was Kire and DM discussing the class tier rankings with Necro on top by a country mile and Wizard well behind every other class. I edited my comment accordingly. I guess what annoys me is there were no calls for Necro to be nerfed at that time when they were the flavor of the month. DM made some great points in that video, which are that the crystal is on a very long cooldown and standing and channeling on a fixed point leaves the wizard vulnerable to attack. Necros that know how to use wraith form effectively wreck my day worse than any other class. That being said, I could see toning down the new wizard headpiece that instantly freezes enemies (which I still don’t have), but I think nerfing the base abilities would be a huge setback for a class that was the least popular just over a month ago. I do hope blizzard fixes the invisible spell effects bug as well. I also think ‘ignorant bigotry’ is some pretty strong language when debating the meta of a video game…
best build for necro is the 6 stun build with AOE damage over time and bleed using the bone spikes bleed and the corpse pillar DOT using flaming golem causes everything to die as it follows you during loops
I'm really trying to convince myself to play a necromancer, since I've always played exclusively as a wizard, but I just... can't. The whole idea of standing and doing nothing while my minions eradicate everything around me doesn't seem very appealing. Where's the fun in just standing there and going afk? Besides, it seems to take waaay longer to kill mobs with that tactic
Hi DM! Im trying to run a Blight Bleed/No Summons Build on Necro. My skills are Bone Spike, Dark Curse, Corpse Explosion, and Bone Spirits. Is this viable or am I overreaching?
The 35% damage buff with inner sac legendary essence and the legendary essence that turns zen into a AOE. Then either add his 2 minions or add fire storm combo.
Wizard is definitely better. My buddy is 100 res and 150 cr below me always out damages me. Fun factor, necro wins. You can do pets but I prefer damage over time. Pets die too fast when you're pushing content.
ive been a wiz since day 1 and im with ya DM, teleport is meh unless you do a FULL build around it. Yeah its cool how you can avoid walls and such but meh id rather the faster wave clearing over saving 2 seconds walking around a wall once in a blue moon
In pve, transitioning from hell3-4 or any levels, summons just die if your resonance is just low, while wizards can kite mobs chill from lightning nova, stun from scorch, dot damage from meteor and arcane wind... wizards can cc and farm higher CR monsters vs necro..
I understand that cosmetics should not be account share, but at least if it's one character let us use all cosmetics bought on it even if you class change. That's really dumb ,I've made the mistake as well as DM to buy 2 cosmetics on barbarian which I will never play again and now I lose those cosmetics , it's so unfair Blizzard !
Try bone armor essence which make your summons do damage around themself, its better when dark curse on single target and its numbers running in pack of mobs like with mage. I figured out its crazyest necro build for dmg you can build. Test it;) + bone admor duration 30% increase, + set 30% increase buffs on you and your party makes your summons do crazy good dmg around themself almoust full time of bone armor. Its like 3/4 sec cd when they dont do extra damage around themself.
Helmet - Skullviel; Armor - Cloak of Quills; Shoulders - Shared Service; Pants - Graven Bulwark. Then equip the other equipment, gem and skills as recommended build #2. Is that your build?
The best class is the one you enjoy playing the most. At the end of the day no matter the class you are gonna use 1 set of skills all day every day and 2nd set of skills from time to time. If you dont enjoy the class it will get boring real quick. My n1 is Barb , then Wiz and iam never switching back to Necro, its just kills me from boredom. :D Also prob Necro is the one class i see ppl run trash builds and being useless, cuz you can use most of their skills, but that doesnt make them good builds :D
I'm necro, for 7 days I tested wizard, I like it because summoner necro was bored after 3month, now back to necro for 7 days to choose finally Necro or Wizard :D
Continue playing monk! I just unlocked the area of light which increases damage. Combined with mystic allies damage with increased duration shield of zen extra dmg and vithus set you have a huge burst dmg even bigger than crusaders done like 600-700k dmg within 6-7 seconds
@@Niclas0299 only issue with this build is cooldown...Sanctuary and Mystic Allies are both 30 sec cooldown... way to long... the rest of the skills are only 9 sec
@@Yusef9971 yeah you are right with vithus and the pants that reduce cooldown by 30% you can reduce the cooldown to 14 seconds. You can have shield of zen up almost everytime to proc vithus more often. Inner sanctuary has the same possible cooldown reduction :). Do you can go either for massive burst damage and set all your skills inkl. Mystic allies or you change between short cooldown skills like shield or zen and seven sided strike in the dmg field and wait for it to expire to use mystic allies again until dmg field is up again. Works perfect in dungeons like namari or pit or thomb. You just need to figure out what suits yourself and your playstyle more. Maybe 6 pieces shalbaas is also very good for summons monk build
For pvp I’d recommend something else for necro besides summons, I’d say go for being a cc aoe demon…. Tryna head bone spike for head that does 3 hits and circle aoe, with the knock back shoulders it’s 3 cc”s besides the 3 pillar corpse walls…. Right now using dark cursing ground dmg/ with shoulder dark curse 30% increase = like 16k damage over time when 1 strike from a grim reaper does about 5k but in pvp it’s better….. but want that with the scythe primary so I’d have like 3 cc”s from bone spike 3 cc”s from bone pillar corpse and 2 cc”s from the scythe with throwing it far too and then prob ghost skill to evade attacks etc would work well with it…. But right now running molten golem on pvp instead of ghost skill cus more dmg for real… and not enough cc”s to stun ppl long enough but the dmg overtime form the bone pillar with fire setting on it and the molten golem and curse really melts players and teams….. but if I could get those 2 other gear pieces I’d cc demon cus I got all the other gear just need those 2 pieces for pvp the bone spike that launches 3 bone spikes only gives 2 charges and kinda slow and misses a lot even though is scares players and sometimes ok at cc but if I pair the 3 bone spikes with my knock back shoulder piece the 3 bone spikes would cc too, easier to hit players and much more targetable, Summons in pvp aren’t great cus they miss a lot and players run around them and or they die easily except molten golem, the grim reapers I personally know are pretty easy to dodge and don’t go to far from u so they kinda suck in pvp…. Range hits are good but even bone armor doesn’t protect the weak summons….. in fact bone wall I found was better in pvp for that aspect of blocking cus the bone wall has 0 hp and can’t be destroyed, molten golem only good cus you can target

Bruh, you can pvp without pillar. Vanilla bone wall is way more versatile. It's not as good, but it's still usable and you can do different things. 2 walls blocks a choke point for instance.
I played wizard and currently on Nerco. Necro is king of PvE PERIOD! PvP Necro is fun and takes more skills to master. Wizard dash out faster dmg, PvP wizard is pretty easy, even a noob can make decent kills compare to Necro.
isnt it SO STUPID how you cant transfer cosmetics across different classes?? lets not have us buy it for each one. it should carry over on that server just like battlepass does!
Before I watch the video I will just I’m p208 3400 res played necro and now after getting bored I’m playing wizard when I played necro I thought it was super fun and the best now that I’m playing wizard I’m thinking the same thing we like what we are I like wizard more because I enjoy doing the damage not my npc spawns but i will say necro the sickest looking class hands down from the gear to the cosmetics i could like it for that aspect alone wizards look like pussies tbh
I have played every class and tried every built I have 2k res. Necro is by far the best class wizard and demon hunter are both very good wizard better for pve and add clear and demon hunter is the best for pvp and damage. Crusader is the best melee class good for buffs barb is that just worse and monk is trash
They said it's still dropping legendaries but ever since I haven't got one. I'm running treasure hunter now, still not getting leg drops from goblins. 🤷🏽♂️

If you roll the "slows enemy attack and movement speed" modifier on your gear it does seem to work on treasure goblins

I'm Para 180 and never got the laser mages or the frenzy curse ... just ridiculous.
As someone who’s played both classes I agree with veiled shot, wizard is much better then necro in every aspect besides boss killing and lazy farming.

dot is horrible for bosses though if ur pets are dying you obviously aren't placing them in good spots for them to do constant dps

ive been a wiz since day 1 and im with ya DM, teleport is meh unless you do a FULL build around it. Yeah its cool how you can avoid walls and such but meh id rather the faster wave clearing over saving 2 seconds walking around a wall once in a blue moon
In pve, transitioning from hell3-4 or any levels, summons just die if your resonance is just low, while wizards can kite mobs chill from lightning nova, stun from scorch, dot damage from meteor and arcane wind... wizards can cc and farm higher CR monsters vs necro..

They need to made the cosmetic which you buy from the shop to all switch class
I understand that cosmetics should not be account share, but at least if it's one character let us use all cosmetics bought on it even if you class change. That's really dumb ,I've made the mistake as well as DM to buy 2 cosmetics on barbarian which I will never play again and now I lose those cosmetics , it's so unfair Blizzard !

Try bone armor essence which make your summons do damage around themself, its better when dark curse on single target and its numbers running in pack of mobs like with mage. I figured out its crazyest necro build for dmg you can build.
Test it;) + bone admor duration 30% increase, + set 30% increase buffs on you and your party makes your summons do crazy good dmg around themself almoust full time of bone armor. Its like 3/4 sec cd when they dont do extra damage around themself.
I do this as well, it's great damage. Never thought about the buff increase
Helmet - Skullviel; Armor - Cloak of Quills; Shoulders - Shared Service; Pants - Graven Bulwark.
Then equip the other equipment, gem and skills as recommended build #2.

The best class is the one you enjoy playing the most. At the end of the day no matter the class you are gonna use 1 set of skills all day every day and 2nd set of skills from time to time. If you dont enjoy the class it will get boring real quick. My n1 is Barb , then Wiz and iam never switching back to Necro, its just kills me from boredom. :D Also prob Necro is the one class i see ppl run trash builds and being useless, cuz you can use most of their skills, but that doesnt make them good builds :D

I'm necro, for 7 days I tested wizard, I like it because summoner necro was bored after 3month, now back to necro for 7 days to choose finally Necro or Wizard :D

Goblins aren't immune to cc, lol. You can stun them or fear them. They're just immune to knockback and knockups, things like that.
the bone spirits shield is so satisfying in pvp.
btw the grim reapers>>>> laser mage especially with thorns

I played necro to paragon 80 and got so sick of staring at rotting corpses.
I switched from necro to monk. Love it in pvp. Miss necro for PvE
Continue playing monk! I just unlocked the area of light which increases damage. Combined with mystic allies damage with increased duration shield of zen extra dmg and vithus set you have a huge burst dmg even bigger than crusaders done like 600-700k dmg within 6-7 seconds
@@Niclas0299 only issue with this build is cooldown...Sanctuary and Mystic Allies are both 30 sec cooldown... way to long... the rest of the skills are only 9 sec
@@Yusef9971 yeah you are right with vithus and the pants that reduce cooldown by 30% you can reduce the cooldown to 14 seconds. You can have shield of zen up almost everytime to proc vithus more often. Inner sanctuary has the same possible cooldown reduction :). Do you can go either for massive burst damage and set all your skills inkl. Mystic allies or you change between short cooldown skills like shield or zen and seven sided strike in the dmg field and wait for it to expire to use mystic allies again until dmg field is up again. Works perfect in dungeons like namari or pit or thomb. You just need to figure out what suits yourself and your playstyle more. Maybe 6 pieces shalbaas is also very good for summons monk build

For pvp I’d recommend something else for necro besides summons, I’d say go for being a cc aoe demon…. Tryna head bone spike for head that does 3 hits and circle aoe, with the knock back shoulders it’s 3 cc”s besides the 3 pillar corpse walls…. Right now using dark cursing ground dmg/ with shoulder dark curse 30% increase = like 16k damage over time when 1 strike from a grim reaper does about 5k but in pvp it’s better….. but want that with the scythe primary so I’d have like 3 cc”s from bone spike 3 cc”s from bone pillar corpse and 2 cc”s from the scythe with throwing it far too and then prob ghost skill to evade attacks etc would work well with it…. But right now running molten golem on pvp instead of ghost skill cus more dmg for real… and not enough cc”s to stun ppl long enough but the dmg overtime form the bone pillar with fire setting on it and the molten golem and curse really melts players and teams….. but if I could get those 2 other gear pieces I’d cc demon cus I got all the other gear just need those 2 pieces for pvp the bone spike that launches 3 bone spikes only gives 2 charges and kinda slow and misses a lot even though is scares players and sometimes ok at cc but if I pair the 3 bone spikes with my knock back shoulder piece the 3 bone spikes would cc too, easier to hit players and much more targetable, Summons in pvp aren’t great cus they miss a lot and players run around them and or they die easily except molten golem, the grim reapers I personally know are pretty easy to dodge and don’t go to far from u so they kinda suck in pvp…. Range hits are good but even bone armor doesn’t protect the weak summons….. in fact bone wall I found was better in pvp for that aspect of blocking cus the bone wall has 0 hp and can’t be destroyed, molten golem only good cus you can target

Bruh, you can pvp without pillar. Vanilla bone wall is way more versatile. It's not as good, but it's still usable and you can do different things. 2 walls blocks a choke point for instance.

I played wizard and currently on Nerco. Necro is king of PvE PERIOD! PvP Necro is fun and takes more skills to master. Wizard dash out faster dmg, PvP wizard is pretty easy, even a noob can make decent kills compare to Necro.
But noobs play necro?

Before I watch the video I will just I’m p208 3400 res played necro and now after getting bored I’m playing wizard when I played necro I thought it was super fun and the best now that I’m playing wizard I’m thinking the same thing we like what we are I like wizard more because I enjoy doing the damage not my npc spawns but i will say necro the sickest looking class hands down from the gear to the cosmetics i could like it for that aspect alone wizards look like pussies tbh

I have played every class and tried every built I have 2k res. Necro is by far the best class wizard and demon hunter are both very good wizard better for pve and add clear and demon hunter is the best for pvp and damage. Crusader is the best melee class good for buffs barb is that just worse and monk is trash

They said it's still dropping legendaries but ever since I haven't got one. I'm running treasure hunter now, still not getting leg drops from goblins. 🤷🏽♂️
