@@johnson5725 there is so many ways for f2p to get 1 and 2 star gems, but most want 5star which isn’t obtainable for them, DI is a free to play game, the only reason it would be p2w is for PvP, but even most PvP now doesn’t take into account for res only BG

For F2p gear upgrades best advise I would give people is rank up as many 2 star gems as you can to at least rank 5, there is a noticeable difference in the amount of drops you get especially once you get over 35% magic find combined with Treasure Hunter. Also I see so many people complaining that TH doesn’t work yet they have all 5* gems and none at rank 5, 0 x 50% = 0, people seem to think TH gives you magic find when it only multiplies the magic find you have.
Resonance matters as a huge damage and health multiplier, secondly you need 16666 cr to beat the final boss in h8. More damage and health means a quicker progress towards farming and the final boss. More resonance = more magic find = more gear and upgrades for your gear = more combat rating. So resonance matters a lot in PVE.
1. My biggest issue at the moment is the CAPS, I can only play for a long time during the weekends, but after 3 hours the game just stops dropping anything. Result, I'm 670 and still missing hell 7/8 essences cause the drop sux and is limited. 2. Everything is too expensive, even cosmetics are way too expensive for the reward, so I gave up wasting money. I just get the good looking batte passes, nothing else. 3. If you can't play everyday and make part of a community guilds/GG's, there's not a lot to do. Besides headless chicken farm.
Being F2P since day 1, I've actually spent $0 on the game. The magic find difference is crazy when comparing F2P vs. P2W. F2P seems to stall out on getting gear upgrades several hundred CR short of the next difficulty (several hundred that wouldn't exist if I spent some money). For me, H7 to H8, I literally identified over 1 hundred legendary or set items and never get an upgrade, when everything you have is either triple state or high doubles upgrades become super rare. I had to get carried to advance to the next difficulty, has been the same way since H5. Is it playable as F2P, of course it is, but you will need help. Most of the F2P people on my server already know you have to get carried to advance to the next difficulty now. Even with all the changes they have made in the last 4 or 5 months, f2p still feels about the same. In one of your last videos, you said the DH is one of the worst classes, I strongly disagree with that as F2P. But, only one build really works as F2P, Vengence/Multishot build, it shreds. However, it's not the easiest class the play because movement and player placement are key (since you want to kite them into a line so your pierce hits multiple targets with The Hungerer offhand). So it slaps large groups, hitting multiple targets is super easy so it burns trash easy (and now blue packs without cooldowns). Plus, being able to move and use all of my ability is pretty cool since it's the only class that can do that to my knowledge. The only real thing I bring to the table for groups is I can make everyone do more damage to enemies so where I lack in some damage or CC, I make up for it by boosting everyone else's damage (Causticity, corrodes enemy armor increasing damage taken by 2% for 3 seconds, stacking 5 times), 10% increased damage when you're running with some of the strongest people on your server makes a HUGE difference, like a 7 or 8 second boss fight without it to being 2 or 3 seconds with it different, it's nuts. This is just my experience as F2P since launch, I have played all of the classes that fit my playstyle (ranged), and DH is hands down the best F2P ranged toon imo. Love the video, I watch most of your videos because I seem to learn something new every time, even for stuff I don't really participate in (like PVP, for obvious reasons... PAIN).
How many Legendary Gems can you earn per week ? For daily tasks 7*300 platinum/day = 2100 (4 gems from the market), elder rifts (ancient rift) = 400 dust (4 gems) + runes from rare crests (1 for free/day + 3 to buy for hilts in Hilts trader = 4x7=28 with 3 in the gap i.e. 108 AST runes) this gives us 5 games, so we have 13 1-star leg. gems in total. per week for free.
My experience is different. I am f2p too, i spam lair and trade plat on market. So far im 2k res :D however, my magic find was 0% before. And man, i always farm 1 hell level in advance. For example, i play h7 when i was lvl 400, and by the time i get to h7, i got everything triples, so i grind h8 gears since lvl 505, by the time i reach lvl 565, i have a full stash fulls of triple ( and i grind my gear set as well, thats mean if its triple stat and not the one i want, i dispose it ) now im lvl 601, and all my h8 gears, are triples head to toes :D 14.5k cr :D at 2k res. I guess being a f2p, you need to play smart, my friend spend so much time to upgrade their gem 1 and 2 to rank 10, while i save plat to purchase 3 4 5 start , now im 2k2 reso :D and working my way to 3k reso ehehe

And they all close to 2k res, and their cr also very strong, 2 of us can carry our warband for final boss inferno 1 raid. And we help carry our warband for the gautlntlet as well. I guess u need a good warband not just for raid, but also for gear and stuffs, and help each other
I take place in my clans Tower PVP and I'm only 1.2k res super low spending (battle pass). But I was F2P for a while. I'm also not hardcore, I'm relatively casual. I did very well in the match. I do very well in BGs. I don't know but my experience with this game in ALL CONTENT. I've not felt like I'm "locked out" of any content. I do think a big part of it is that F2P people that work hard to get strong should find a powerful clan that will take you. The P2W aspects have not changed the amount of fun I've had since day 1 at all, not 1 bit (occasionally a weird BG Match with too many whales but that's rare now with the changes).
If you are a Day 1 F2P since release then yes absolutely. If you are a new F2P player now, then you might have some difficulties because you have missed out on close to a year worth of legendary/rare crests, crafting materials, Aspirant's Keys etc from events plus tableau and helliquary upgrades. The best you can do is get into a good clan and warband, get carried in raids and challenge rifts to get the current server level
+Elder rifts & daily tasks for runes, powder, platinum this way you can get 12+ legendary gems weekly (buy gems on the market for platinum and craft some for runes/dust).
PVP is always my favorite part of games and as F2P, you're right that BGs and Accursed Tower PVP are not really doable... however, I've found that I can satisfy my PVP needs without getting crushed by whales (usually) in the Vault. As long as you party up with people around your resonance, the new matchmaking will usually give you fair fights.
If your willing to sell your soul you can grind platinum from normal gems 💎 just takes along time. Have 4 star in all 6 slots, upgrading legendary gems is what takes forever considering the amount of copies and gem power it takes.
Been F2P Barbarian only since launch on The Worldstone Server(literally $0 spent, not even the $5 Battle Passes). Currently 1,140 Reso, over 14k Combat Rating. 4/6 Lego Gear = Rank 23, 2/6 Lego Gear = Rank 22. 4/6 Set Gear = Rank 14, 2/6 Set Gear = Rank 13. Have always finished in the top 35 Barbarian in BG's each Reign(last 5 BG Ranks = 17, 26, 33, 30, 27)! I just try to do my best as a F2P, push/play my hardest, and see what I can do without spending any money on the game. So far I have done fairly well! :)
f2p is very possible and its a shame that the heavy p2w option over shadows it so dramatically, if you thinkin its not possible then you just haven't played enough or know enough, so videos like this are very needed, thanks DM
I can prove otherwise, every reign i'm at 60 - 75% winrate 1.3k res. 6.4k rating roughly each reign. Yes there are a handful of whales(6-7k res and 3.5k+ secondary stats) that can and will one-shot me or prevent me from playing. However, the vast majority of games are winnable outside of those players who can decide a match all on their own.
its possible to enjoy specially those who started from server launch. however, the newer once wont be able to compete and can only do pve stuff. it depends how you play the game.
@@Minion9892012 you must not have alot of whales on ur server or something im on NA east and once I get to legend rank my games become almost unplayable, For example yesterday I matched up against 3 6k res barbs and rest were all 4k and above while my team only had a 5k res necro and hes from my server and i am currently on a 7 game losing streak in bgs lol
For tower, my clan leader set up res cap for it agreed upon with other clan to allow everyone a chance to play. For instance this week was 1.5k res cap where my clan including myself completely dominated the other team.
My only game purchases have been battle pass and 2 awakening slots aside from that f2p never bought a bundle or currency or crests 1.4k res, 14.5kcr, always top 20 battleground So imo yh f2p or ultra low spender can enjoy the game BUT you have to be realistic and accept if yiu up against whales in BG or any PvP you're dog meat but that is less than 5% of your total playing time
I have been playing since the launch and I have even been in a few of your PvP videos! I bought the cheap Battle Pass and the Boon every month and I am in the best Warband on our server. We were the first to defeat Phangwrth in Hell VIII. I am in every tower fight, every RoE and always place top 20 in the Battleground rankings just by doing my 3/3 per day. I broke 15k CR 2 days ago and I am about to hit 2k Res. I have never spent an orb on a legendary crest, that's what i consider free to play. The only thing that matters in this game, is ACTIVITY. If people know they can count on you, it makes you move up the ladder fast. But you do have to invest the time. It also helps to be a Crusader that focuses on buffing, shielding and CCing the other team. Whales can buy the gems to kill me in 1 shot... but they can't pay money to avoid my extended range Condemn, which leads to one of two Shield Charges into the wall for a nice stun. With the new tortured 6/6 set, I also have an additional stun.. I follow that up with some Explosive Shield throws and have myself a build that is MORE than viable in PvP even against whales. I still die 80% of the time, but every now and again, I pull off a miracle and I guarantee they remember the name. Having 30 assists and 5 deaths while pushing 50 people off of Idols all match, which leads to a win when everyone expects a loss at the start of the match... that's all I care about. Love the content bro, keep it comin!
Hey late to the comments but I started on DI when it was released but quit after a few months because I didn’t need a second job responsible to my great clan members. It was also too stressful spamming dungeon runs with a group. I started a new account 2 weeks ago and with the new game play I’m at 500 combat 7500+ h5 and having a great time all solo, no stress. Spent $4.99. The game is so good and now certainly friendly for solo play. Thanks DM I got some great time for Demon hunter from you. The legendary that makes daring swing a real attack is awesome!
In a month I reached 700 paragon and almost 13k WB without spending a single dollar. I've had a great pleasure during this time but I've already hit the point where my character is not progressing at all (or very slowly) and P2W players walk with WB 14-18k. For a few days I've been thinking about quitting the game because I have no idea how I would exceed these 13k WB. As F2P forget about towers, battleground or clan wars : ).
You can do free to play if you concentrate on PvE without concerning yourself with PvP. I got to almost 1000 reso without paying. I had fun without worrying about PvP.

@@norbertdomokos4835 My main is Necro, I played almost all the Classes exept Crusader. For f2p, IMO Necro and Barb are Classes that suits for f2p. These Classes are still useful even at low resonance.
You can play 100% f2p , you can pvp as well in low whale populated servers , im from south america and i have seen a 5k whale once in my life since the game started so it's a blast for me .

I would like to see Blizzard make the completion stuff such as the side quests easier to see what you need to complete. I keep seeing the same side quests when overworld farming and then have to take the time to go into the codex to work out if I have completed the quest already.
100%. I'm always going in to my codex to see if it's a quest I've completed or not and I've been thinking about just taking the time and writing down a list of each side quest in each area, and then checking them off as i complete them.
F2P player as well and 725 reso, I mostly solo as the game has very little more to give in parties except lot of waiting. PVE is easy one and fun, I only play at Hell 1, as there is zero resons to play any other (easier, faster to farm and you get the same stuff, all new gear comes by doing dailies as they are give on your level aka max Hell Level. PVP as wizard is quite easy also, you can easily drop most of the other class from distant event with magic missile (charm with max boost etc) and you can almost move at the same time (mosre flexible than other builds). As this is very enjoyable grinding only game, it takes aproox 1h/day to do all the dailiyes, solo hell 1 dungons (to get the max hell level gear even doing that). And game feels to be in very good balance playing like this. You always feel advancing on every day and no need to wait.
I bought the basic battle pass, once, and I have 1220 resonance. I've beaten challenge rift 280, and my blacksmithing upgrades are two 21s, a 20 and three 18s. Secondary gear is at four 14 and two 13s. Battlegrounds suck!
The combat rating on the maps isn’t the same as the dungeons on the maps. When I moved to Hell V I was 300 combat rating over what the maps said but I was a thousand below the dungeons.

I Made Paragon 600 in 3 weeks. Actually i dont feel Like i need p2w to make Progress. I think maybe you need some itemshop at the very late Game. But then ITS okay If you enjoyed the Game so much you can itemshop lategame. You can make Inferno1 and then start to Farm for your Gear.
You can play Diablo mortal free to play I started playing Maybe a month and a half two months ago and i'm already ranked three hundred and Ninety. And if you need 5 star gyms all you have to do is just sell shit on the market. It's really not that hard
I had to have a team with me to beat the last boss in h7 raid in order to unlock h8 because I just couldn't keep the campfire going as well as do enough damage to him without getting hypothermia. If I could've beaten that mechanic solo then I would've been fine and solo'd it.
f2p is viable, but unless you are stuck to mobile only the game itself in its current form is not f2p friendly. 1) People don't share knowledge and the game doesn't explain how stats are useful The amount I try to explain to low spend and f2p on how to get the most out of their character is like pulling teeth. So many free stats wasted. 2) A lot of low spend/f2p never get the chance to grow because well if you didn't start at day 1 you are drastically behind the curve. (WB Tab, helliquary, iben, and the daily gems.) This is a difference of 450 CR in helliquary and 650 CR from WB. As well as free plat and aquired crests/gems. There is no ''catch up'' mechanic for new players granted the grind has improved 3) Mats for gear upgrades....its unreasonable no one will catch up to the current pace they have set for the game. Currently at all 28 Gear level and i put about 2-3 hours in a day, and a LOT of hours in at release You touched on the #2 point though.
If you enjoy the game itself,dont mind beeing on leaderboards and just having fun playing with you Clan,the game is hell of fun even if you dont buy stuff at all.
Its simple really. If the store offers anything that rffects the game in any o5her way than cosmetics. Its pay 2 win and shouls be completly ignored. Just dont play p2w games and they will dissapear. Companies will not keep making p2w if its not profitabke any more.
If you are a competitive person yeah you need to thrown out of money, but for me who play it for fun this is great game with a lot of interaction between players. Maybe i came from SEA where this kind of monetization are no strange to us, but yeah this game is fun to play
I just started Immortal because it's free, and really like the astethics and story, gameplay more than Diablo 3. But i play on PC so still it's only BETA :(
Love your vids by the way, but I consider myself f2p but I like cosmetics so I grab those and a by product of a bundle gives you crests which I use on my gems. I’m not worried about selling gems even if I could as I don’t care about pvp. So I guess I’m more plankton than whale. I’ve been playing about a month and I have a barb in hell 3, wizard in hell 5, demon hunter in hell 5, crusader in hell 5 or 6 and my necromancer main at 8853 cr so just about to go hell 7. I just enjoy the pve side of the game. I get dungeons being multiplayer scaling, but I enjoy playing solo since I’ll run a dungeon 30 times in a row and don’t want to keep popping in and out of groups. This to me is the most frustrating part as it takes about 20 of those runs just to get a green and then it’s not even the item I need, but hey, it is what it is. Keep the great vids coming. 😀
Been watching your videos the past couple weeks, very informative. I have a simple question hoping to get answered. If I have a legendary chest piece with cursed properties, but a new chest piece drops that’s has better life and score rating. The new chest piece has nothing I want but the score. Can I transfer the score from the higher chest piece to my lower chest piece?
Some people would be very surprised how helpful the Empowered Battle Pass is, but instead they would rather complain about spending $5 a month. While at the same time spending $15 a month on a subscription game they suck at too.
I have a F2p with 1.2k res but my secondary gems are pretty high and can pretty much kill 2k res players at most kinda wish that all legendary crest was sellable and they should give more legendary crest in events etc
The games designed by teams of people to do nothing but get you to spend money. You can but it’s probably a horrible experience and you have to have some willpower, that’s why I don’t even touch them
Bring totally f2p, bought only 1 battle pass to have tyreal skin only, cr is 15.3k , res is 1790 now but a 4 star bottle hope is iny inventory waiting to be carried to rank 4 which will pump res to 2k res, I help now in carrying other more res player in the first 4 h8 raids and also in challenge rifts, I am 287 solo and can take other 3 people to 285
Don't spend any money on this game at all!!! I bought the chest that lets you pick 5 2/5 gems. All that came out of chest is the random 6th. I've open an ticket asking for the gems I've pick but not received. Did charge back on g Google and told em I'd buy orbs once I get the 50 product I'd pay for. There response nope will not give and now you can't do anything till you give 50 and just eat the glitch
Some people have actual lives though, so it's not that viable. Especially when it comes to mobile, people don't want the equivalent of basement neckbeard WoW effort just to keep up. Thousands of dollars on a game is the definition of an unhealthy addiction.

Great video. I’m a 5k reso sader and some really smart low spenders destroy me in dps in pve. Also you can be really useful in pvp without killing whales. Specially as a barb or necro.

Asia server we just got to paragon 600 a week ago, and a super low spender i only spent 6 dollars less currently have 1130 resonance and pending gem upgrade all attained with a bit of luck and market
if u are new to the game, just dont waste ur time. thats the best advice. wait 2 months and play diablo 4 if u want to play diablo. immortal is a total waste of time
im considering myself a very very light spender since i buy BP for custome.. until now i only get 1370 resonance as a monk but my f2p friends also have around 1k-1.1k resonance ... the question is do you believe i can have fun in pvp content such as BG? do you think its possible for me to kill 1vs1 against 4k/5k resonance?
Even the most greediest “f2p” game out there lets you play “for free” It would not make any sense to push away players from your game when they eventually may end up paying. This is a never ending argument. Of course you can play without spending a single dollar. The tactic is not to kick you out but to make you hooked, invest a fok ton of time so you start caring about the game more. Then the chore kicks in very slowly. More and more obstacles that you dont have to swipe for but they are slowing you down significantly. You may get tilted here and there and convince yourself that if you just spend 5 bucks one last time, it ll be so much easier and enjoyable. This goes forevee until you either quit or spend your life savings. Neither ending feels satisfying. Ive tried many of these p2w casinos that can be played “for free” but every time i quit i realized i just wasted huge amount of time catching up and hoping one day i can reach the confortable position in the game. Not worth it, never was.
Pvp is viable but you have to grind constantly, there is a F2P wizard in my clan who has been The Immortal and is always top marks in pvp with around 1k resonance, granted he is an exception lol
I feel like you can be where the p2w guys are at while being f2p but just takes more time and more grinding p2w in my eyes is just shortcutting that's it , it's not like I can't make a gem a lvl 5 with out paying cash I can do it but I would have to grind that's it p2w is just for the lazy folks that wants to get ahead faster than just grind like everyone else
I'm am a Necro 11400 CR 590 resonance it's been almost 2 months since I played I have no other characters just one. The hardest for me now is the world farming cuz hell 8 is dominated with whales with 2k+ resonance I can't even have a spot.. as for my playing I don't spend even a dime cuz even if I spend I can only at least get 1k+resonance I don't have much dive to compete so I just play the game casually..I never compete it's not worth a time... Whales are just born whales🤣🤣🤣
This p2w stuff is way out of hand, at what point does the competition with this kind of thing actually become stupid to people? Just get a group of people together for your "clan", pool some money together and buy the game rights/name then you win all the time no matter what.
So - if you need to party with whales to clear higher difficulty raids... Doesn't that mean the game relies on people spending loads of money for the playerbase to advance in the helliquary? Pay to win.... Stop gaslighting yourself and the audience lol
Hey DM, I keep finding 3 stat items that have 1 or 2 green arrows, but their numbers are lower than I currently equip. For example, I have a 2 stat chest with 460 vit + 450 Int. I am a wizard. However, 3 stat items will only have 305 vit, 305 will, 305 fort, but has 2 arrows. If I equip the 3 stat item, I lose a lot of vit and a big chunk of int. Should I swap to 3?

For me, H7 to H8, I literally identified over 1 hundred legendary or set items and never get an upgrade, when everything you have is either triple state or high doubles upgrades become super rare. I had to get carried to advance to the next difficulty, has been the same way since H5. Is it playable as F2P, of course it is, but you will need help. Most of the F2P people on my server already know you have to get carried to advance to the next difficulty now. Even with all the changes they have made in the last 4 or 5 months, f2p still feels about the same. In one of your last videos, you said the DH is one of the worst classes, I strongly disagree with that as F2P. But, only one build really works as F2P, Vengence/Multishot build, it shreds. However, it's not the easiest class the play because movement and player placement are key (since you want to kite them into a line so your pierce hits multiple targets with The Hungerer offhand). So it slaps large groups, hitting multiple targets is super easy so it burns trash easy (and now blue packs without cooldowns). Plus, being able to move and use all of my ability is pretty cool since it's the only class that can do that to my knowledge. The only real thing I bring to the table for groups is I can make everyone do more damage to enemies so where I lack in some damage or CC, I make up for it by boosting everyone else's damage (Causticity, corrodes enemy armor increasing damage taken by 2% for 3 seconds, stacking 5 times), 10% increased damage when you're running with some of the strongest people on your server makes a HUGE difference, like a 7 or 8 second boss fight without it to being 2 or 3 seconds with it different, it's nuts. This is just my experience as F2P since launch, I have played all of the classes that fit my playstyle (ranged), and DH is hands down the best F2P ranged toon imo. Love the video, I watch most of your videos because I seem to learn something new every time, even for stuff I don't really participate in (like PVP, for obvious reasons... PAIN).
How many Legendary Gems can you earn per week ? For daily tasks 7*300 platinum/day = 2100 (4 gems from the market), elder rifts (ancient rift) = 400 dust (4 gems) + runes from rare crests (1 for free/day + 3 to buy for hilts in Hilts trader = 4x7=28 with 3 in the gap i.e. 108 AST runes) this gives us 5 games, so we have 13 1-star leg. gems in total. per week for free.
My experience is different. I am f2p too, i spam lair and trade plat on market. So far im 2k res :D however, my magic find was 0% before. And man, i always farm 1 hell level in advance. For example, i play h7 when i was lvl 400, and by the time i get to h7, i got everything triples, so i grind h8 gears since lvl 505, by the time i reach lvl 565, i have a full stash fulls of triple ( and i grind my gear set as well, thats mean if its triple stat and not the one i want, i dispose it ) now im lvl 601, and all my h8 gears, are triples head to toes :D 14.5k cr :D at 2k res.
I guess being a f2p, you need to play smart, my friend spend so much time to upgrade their gem 1 and 2 to rank 10, while i save plat to purchase 3 4 5 start , now im 2k2 reso :D and working my way to 3k reso ehehe

All people in my warband are f2p. And they all close to 2k res, and their cr also very strong, 2 of us can carry our warband for final boss inferno 1 raid. And we help carry our warband for the gautlntlet as well. I guess u need a good warband not just for raid, but also for gear and stuffs, and help each other
I take place in my clans Tower PVP and I'm only 1.2k res super low spending (battle pass). But I was F2P for a while. I'm also not hardcore, I'm relatively casual.
I did very well in the match. I do very well in BGs. I don't know but my experience with this game in ALL CONTENT.
I've not felt like I'm "locked out" of any content. I do think a big part of it is that F2P people that work hard to get strong should find a powerful clan that will take you.
The P2W aspects have not changed the amount of fun I've had since day 1 at all, not 1 bit (occasionally a weird BG Match with too many whales but that's rare now with the changes).
If you are a Day 1 F2P since release then yes absolutely. If you are a new F2P player now, then you might have some difficulties because you have missed out on close to a year worth of legendary/rare crests, crafting materials, Aspirant's Keys etc from events plus tableau and helliquary upgrades. The best you can do is get into a good clan and warband, get carried in raids and challenge rifts to get the current server level
+Elder rifts & daily tasks for runes, powder, platinum this way you can get 12+ legendary gems weekly (buy gems on the market for platinum and craft some for runes/dust).
PVP is always my favorite part of games and as F2P, you're right that BGs and Accursed Tower PVP are not really doable... however, I've found that I can satisfy my PVP needs without getting crushed by whales (usually) in the Vault. As long as you party up with people around your resonance, the new matchmaking will usually give you fair fights.
If your willing to sell your soul you can grind platinum from normal gems 💎 just takes along time. Have 4 star in all 6 slots, upgrading legendary gems is what takes forever considering the amount of copies and gem power it takes.

Been F2P Barbarian only since launch on The Worldstone Server(literally $0 spent, not even the $5 Battle Passes). Currently 1,140 Reso, over 14k Combat Rating. 4/6 Lego Gear = Rank 23, 2/6 Lego Gear = Rank 22. 4/6 Set Gear = Rank 14, 2/6 Set Gear = Rank 13. Have always finished in the top 35 Barbarian in BG's each Reign(last 5 BG Ranks = 17, 26, 33, 30, 27)! I just try to do my best as a F2P, push/play my hardest, and see what I can do without spending any money on the game. So far I have done fairly well! :)

For pve yes but a f2p player won't ever compete in a whale bgs bracket which starts around legend rank if not earlier depending on ur MMR
I can prove otherwise, every reign i'm at 60 - 75% winrate 1.3k res. 6.4k rating roughly each reign. Yes there are a handful of whales(6-7k res and 3.5k+ secondary stats) that can and will one-shot me or prevent me from playing. However, the vast majority of games are winnable outside of those players who can decide a match all on their own.
its possible to enjoy specially those who started from server launch. however, the newer once wont be able to compete and can only do pve stuff. it depends how you play the game.
@@Minion9892012 you must not have alot of whales on ur server or something im on NA east and once I get to legend rank my games become almost unplayable, For example yesterday I matched up against 3 6k res barbs and rest were all 4k and above while my team only had a 5k res necro and hes from my server and i am currently on a 7 game losing streak in bgs lol
For tower, my clan leader set up res cap for it agreed upon with other clan to allow everyone a chance to play. For instance this week was 1.5k res cap where my clan including myself completely dominated the other team.
My only game purchases have been battle pass and 2 awakening slots aside from that f2p never bought a bundle or currency or crests

So imo yh f2p or ultra low spender can enjoy the game BUT you have to be realistic and accept if yiu up against whales in BG or any PvP you're dog meat but that is less than 5% of your total playing time

I bought the cheap Battle Pass and the Boon every month and I am in the best Warband on our server. We were the first to defeat Phangwrth in Hell VIII. I am in every tower fight, every RoE and always place top 20 in the Battleground rankings just by doing my 3/3 per day. I broke 15k CR 2 days ago and I am about to hit 2k Res. I have never spent an orb on a legendary crest, that's what i consider free to play. The only thing that matters in this game, is ACTIVITY. If people know they can count on you, it makes you move up the ladder fast. But you do have to invest the time.
It also helps to be a Crusader that focuses on buffing, shielding and CCing the other team. Whales can buy the gems to kill me in 1 shot... but they can't pay money to avoid my extended range Condemn, which leads to one of two Shield Charges into the wall for a nice stun. With the new tortured 6/6 set, I also have an additional stun.. I follow that up with some Explosive Shield throws and have myself a build that is MORE than viable in PvP even against whales. I still die 80% of the time, but every now and again, I pull off a miracle and I guarantee they remember the name. Having 30 assists and 5 deaths while pushing 50 people off of Idols all match, which leads to a win when everyone expects a loss at the start of the match... that's all I care about.

Hey late to the comments but I started on DI when it was released but quit after a few months because I didn’t need a second job responsible to my great clan members. It was also too stressful spamming dungeon runs with a group. I started a new account 2 weeks ago and with the new game play I’m at 500 combat 7500+ h5 and having a great time all solo, no stress. Spent $4.99. The game is so good and now certainly friendly for solo play. Thanks DM I got some great time for Demon hunter from you. The legendary that makes daring swing a real attack is awesome!
In a month I reached 700 paragon and almost 13k WB without spending a single dollar. I've had a great pleasure during this time but I've already hit the point where my character is not progressing at all (or very slowly) and P2W players walk with WB 14-18k. For a few days I've been thinking about quitting the game because I have no idea how I would exceed these 13k WB. As F2P forget about towers, battleground or clan wars : ).
Oh and I never found 5 star gem and Iben Fahd's Tenacity in Legacy of the Horadrim :D.
You can do free to play if you concentrate on PvE without concerning yourself with PvP. I got to almost 1000 reso without paying. I had fun without worrying about PvP.

@@norbertdomokos4835 My main is Necro, I played almost all the Classes exept Crusader. For f2p, IMO Necro and Barb are Classes that suits for f2p. These Classes are still useful even at low resonance.

I would like to see Blizzard make the completion stuff such as the side quests easier to see what you need to complete. I keep seeing the same side quests when overworld farming and then have to take the time to go into the codex to work out if I have completed the quest already.
100%. I'm always going in to my codex to see if it's a quest I've completed or not and I've been thinking about just taking the time and writing down a list of each side quest in each area, and then checking them off as i complete them.

F2P player as well and 725 reso, I mostly solo as the game has very little more to give in parties except lot of waiting. PVE is easy one and fun, I only play at Hell 1, as there is zero resons to play any other (easier, faster to farm and you get the same stuff, all new gear comes by doing dailies as they are give on your level aka max Hell Level. PVP as wizard is quite easy also, you can easily drop most of the other class from distant event with magic missile (charm with max boost etc) and you can almost move at the same time (mosre flexible than other builds). As this is very enjoyable grinding only game, it takes aproox 1h/day to do all the dailiyes, solo hell 1 dungons (to get the max hell level gear even doing that). And game feels to be in very good balance playing like this. You always feel advancing on every day and no need to wait.
I bought the basic battle pass, once, and I have 1220 resonance. I've beaten challenge rift 280, and my blacksmithing upgrades are two 21s, a 20 and three 18s. Secondary gear is at four 14 and two 13s. Battlegrounds suck!

The combat rating on the maps isn’t the same as the dungeons on the maps. When I moved to Hell V I was 300 combat rating over what the maps said but I was a thousand below the dungeons.

I Made Paragon 600 in 3 weeks. Actually i dont feel Like i need p2w to make Progress. I think maybe you need some itemshop at the very late Game. But then ITS okay If you enjoyed the Game so much you can itemshop lategame. You can make Inferno1 and then start to Farm for your Gear.
You can play Diablo mortal free to play I started playing Maybe a month and a half two months ago and i'm already ranked three hundred and Ninety. And if you need 5 star gyms all you have to do is just sell shit on the market. It's really not that hard

FTP for pve is no problem, for PvP is super noticeable. You just stop playing PvP if you are ftp
I had to have a team with me to beat the last boss in h7 raid in order to unlock h8 because I just couldn't keep the campfire going as well as do enough damage to him without getting hypothermia. If I could've beaten that mechanic solo then I would've been fine and solo'd it.
Use a taunt or summon skill to keep the mobs away from you when you lit the fire

f2p is viable, but unless you are stuck to mobile only the game itself in its current form is not f2p friendly.
1) People don't share knowledge and the game doesn't explain how stats are useful
The amount I try to explain to low spend and f2p on how to get the most out of their character is like pulling teeth. So many free stats wasted.
2) A lot of low spend/f2p never get the chance to grow because well if you didn't start at day 1 you are drastically behind the curve. (WB Tab, helliquary, iben, and the daily gems.)
This is a difference of 450 CR in helliquary and 650 CR from WB. As well as free plat and aquired crests/gems. There is no ''catch up'' mechanic for new players granted the grind has improved
3) Mats for gear upgrades....its unreasonable no one will catch up to the current pace they have set for the game. Currently at all 28 Gear level and i put about 2-3 hours in a day, and a LOT of hours in at release

If you enjoy the game itself,dont mind beeing on leaderboards and just having fun playing with you Clan,the game is hell of fun even if you dont buy stuff at all.

Its simple really. If the store offers anything that rffects the game in any o5her way than cosmetics. Its pay 2 win and shouls be completly ignored. Just dont play p2w games and they will dissapear. Companies will not keep making p2w if its not profitabke any more.
If you are a competitive person yeah you need to thrown out of money, but for me who play it for fun this is great game with a lot of interaction between players. Maybe i came from SEA where this kind of monetization are no strange to us, but yeah this game is fun to play

Love your vids by the way, but I consider myself f2p but I like cosmetics so I grab those and a by product of a bundle gives you crests which I use on my gems. I’m not worried about selling gems even if I could as I don’t care about pvp. So I guess I’m more plankton than whale. I’ve been playing about a month and I have a barb in hell 3, wizard in hell 5, demon hunter in hell 5, crusader in hell 5 or 6 and my necromancer main at 8853 cr so just about to go hell 7. I just enjoy the pve side of the game. I get dungeons being multiplayer scaling, but I enjoy playing solo since I’ll run a dungeon 30 times in a row and don’t want to keep popping in and out of groups. This to me is the most frustrating part as it takes about 20 of those runs just to get a green and then it’s not even the item I need, but hey, it is what it is. Keep the great vids coming. 😀

If I have a legendary chest piece with cursed properties, but a new chest piece drops that’s has better life and score rating. The new chest piece has nothing I want but the score. Can I transfer the score from the higher chest piece to my lower chest piece?

Some people would be very surprised how helpful the Empowered Battle Pass is, but instead they would rather complain about spending $5 a month. While at the same time spending $15 a month on a subscription game they suck at too.
I have a F2p with 1.2k res but my secondary gems are pretty high and can pretty much kill 2k res players at most kinda wish that all legendary crest was sellable and they should give more legendary crest in events etc

Don't spend any money on this game at all!!! I bought the chest that lets you pick 5 2/5 gems. All that came out of chest is the random 6th. I've open an ticket asking for the gems I've pick but not received. Did charge back on g Google and told em I'd buy orbs once I get the 50 product I'd pay for.

Great video. I’m a 5k reso sader and some really smart low spenders destroy me in dps in pve. Also you can be really useful in pvp without killing whales. Specially as a barb or necro.

F2P is definitely doable both PVE and PVP. Just don't expect being the top in the leaderboards and it's all good.

Asia server we just got to paragon 600 a week ago, and a super low spender i only spent 6 dollars less currently have 1130 resonance and pending gem upgrade all attained with a bit of luck and market

It would not make any sense to push away players from your game when they eventually may end up paying.
This is a never ending argument. Of course you can play without spending a single dollar. The tactic is not to kick you out but to make you hooked, invest a fok ton of time so you start caring about the game more. Then the chore kicks in very slowly. More and more obstacles that you dont have to swipe for but they are slowing you down significantly. You may get tilted here and there and convince yourself that if you just spend 5 bucks one last time, it ll be so much easier and enjoyable. This goes forevee until you either quit or spend your life savings. Neither ending feels satisfying. Ive tried many of these p2w casinos that can be played “for free” but every time i quit i realized i just wasted huge amount of time catching up and hoping one day i can reach the confortable position in the game.

Pvp is viable but you have to grind constantly, there is a F2P wizard in my clan who has been The Immortal and is always top marks in pvp with around 1k resonance, granted he is an exception lol

I'm am a Necro 11400 CR 590 resonance it's been almost 2 months since I played I have no other characters just one. The hardest for me now is the world farming cuz hell 8 is dominated with whales with 2k+ resonance I can't even have a spot.. as for my playing I don't spend even a dime cuz even if I spend I can only at least get 1k+resonance I don't have much dive to compete so I just play the game casually..I never compete it's not worth a time... Whales are just born whales🤣🤣🤣

yes FTP is possible. PVE is easy. GL in PVP. CR is much harder to hit Hell difficulty/Challenge rifts/Raids/Path of blood requirements.
This p2w stuff is way out of hand, at what point does the competition with this kind of thing actually become stupid to people? Just get a group of people together for your "clan", pool some money together and buy the game rights/name then you win all the time no matter what.

Hey DM, I keep finding 3 stat items that have 1 or 2 green arrows, but their numbers are lower than I currently equip. For example, I have a 2 stat chest with 460 vit + 450 Int. I am a wizard. However, 3 stat items will only have 305 vit, 305 will, 305 fort, but has 2 arrows. If I equip the 3 stat item, I lose a lot of vit and a big chunk of int. Should I swap to 3?
