Wish this video was like half an hour. But Necromancer is the best class. No matter the game mode, it basically puts it on easy. D2, D3 (although i pretend that game never existed) and even Diablo 4.
Very much enjoyed this video (found the link from r/Diablo). While I knew this info already, I love how much more you packed into a succinct video. Great job! Also as an aside: THANK! YOU! for including your own subtitles. I have a hearing disability and have to pass on most spoken videos. Tried yours because I love the Necro just so damn much and was extremely surprised and delighted. Again, thank you!
It makes so happy to hear that you enjoyed the video, thank you for writing a comment as well, it really is fun to hear that these videos can bring some joy! I was not actually thinking about that when I was putting in the subtitles, I just thought it looked cool. I will make sure to make subtitles for future videos whenever it is possible!
I wonder, is there any mention of Lichdom in the lore? (Created by the Priests of Rathma, not by demons) and if there is, would it be considered a part of the balance? (a Necromancer ascending to Lichdom so they can longer balance the scales) Or would they consider it abominable to not die when their natural span has run its course?
Necromancers in Diablo are not the self-centered, evil mages of other fiction. They don't seek to defy the balance of life and death but rather act to uphold it. They see death merely as a natural part of life and do not seek to deny its arrival.
@@Mister-Thirteen Sure, but Lichdom does not need to be self centered and evil. most media do that, but in its original media Dungeons and Dragons you have a whole array of Liches. Including ancient elven who become a form of Lich to remain their leader/guide for prolonged times. They don't even need souls to sustain themselves and keep this role purely for the benefit of the tribe/community. Would have been interesting if there was something like that in Diablo too, a Necromancer who turned themselves into a Lich so they could balance the scales for a longer time and act as a mentor for youngsters.
@@jefthereaper I do agree with you on the general point of Lichdom is only as evil as fiction proscribes it to be. But I think that necromancer's in Sanctuary would see that as a twisting of the balance. Clearly they can extend their own life to some degree. But to linger after natural death would go directly against their stated philosophy.
Since Trag Oul is eternal as long as Sanctuary exists and Rathma was technically immortal together with the other nephalem I think they would have no problem with immortality, the balance is more between chaos vs order (hell and heaven) and less about life and death as I understand it ;)
@@KareAkern Agreed. But the Necromancers place a great deal of importance on the great cycle of being. Death is sense as the ultimate expression of the balance. By the way. Have made the link between the visualization of the Necromancers, the cosmology and the works of Micheal Moorecock?
I, for one, enjoyed the video a lot. Yet, I'd suggest you make the subtitles toggleable. Not sure about other people watching, but I find subtitles quite distracting, as I focus more on reading than on watching and listening. Other than that, I can only say good about the content of the video and its presentation. Looking forward to more!
Thank you! I was a bit unsure about how my narrating voice would come across because I have not done that before, so it feels great that you liked the presentation! I’ll see what I can do with the subtitles, I hardcoded them into the video so I could use the Diablo font, but I’ll see if I can add them through RUclips instead so that you can toggle because I also heard that they are appreciated, good feedback! More are coming!
@@KareAkern I found that while watching on a larger screen it's not as much of a problem as it is when watching on a phone. I guess gather some more feedback and reactions to the subtitles and then decide. From what I've seen people seem to appreciate the subtitles indeed
I will do just that! Maybe it’s the size of the text, that it’s to small to read on a phone which makes more distracting rather than helpful, I will do some experimentation and see what is best! Thank you so much for the feedback again, it’s pure gold to me!
Necromancer is the most classy class of all classes.
I would have to agree, they do have a lo of class, I could see him with a glass of wine and a french cheese platter any day of the week
This is the content I've been waiting for. I think I'll stay a while and listen.
Haha! I wish I could deliver these videos with a Deckard Cain impression!
not gona lie this was better quality than I expected well done
Very happy to hear that Asherr :) Stay tuned, will probably update this one for Diablo IV
These are really high quality videos! I appreciate your effort.
Thank you! That really means a lot!

The D2 Neceomancer is close to my heart, but honestly I never a big fan in the newer ones 😅

wow i can't wait for the others!
Glad you liked it! :D I’m working on the Amazon right now, which one are you playing on release?
Do you have a video about the witch doctor?
No unfortunately not, I made these for the release of D2R, maybe I’ll do one when Diablo 4 comes out and I get into more lore stuff 😃
Necromancer: My main since 2005 💀
I never thought I would like the Necro, and then I played him hack in the old days of D2, what a revalation!
