THANK YOU FOR ALL THE SUPPORT!!!
Thank you. As a recent widow, Im gonna need to know this.
Great video! Very helpful! Thank you!
Simple instructions.. thanks appreciate you
Very helpful. I plan to do my service next week, so finding this video was very helpful!
Thanks for sharing that I can service my grandpa's mower 👍
Very helpful - thanks, dude
I always use new oil to coat the seal on the new filter. This is in an effort to eliminate any contamination carry over by using the used oil. Also, I triple check both the old filter and the mating surface on the engine block to make sure that the seal came off with the old filter. In the event that the seal stayed stuck to the engine block, installing a new filter + seal will result in either a big mess or a bigger catastrophe when running the mower. Please learn from one of my previous mistakes on this so you don't have to make this mistake yourself.
The amount of old oil that you use to lubricate the new filter seal is inconsequential, so either way works. There is probably 5 percent of old oil left in the engine when you change your oil, so you never really get it all out.
Been there, done that with the oil filter seal on my van. Some how I noticed as I was still screwing on the new filter. Going forward I always check for that now.
I drive it in my boys heads when changing oil & filter in a I/O boat motor to make sure to check to make sure the old gasket came off. Well how does the saying go"practice what you preach"
Good job’
Was trying to see how to drain the gas. But thanks I need to know how to do the oil also
Wear a Ferris Cap for your next video.. Otherwise very well done!!!
Will do! I own a john deere tractor and a gator... so yeah. lol my mistake. Thanks for watching@
How do you change the hydraulic oil?
Thanks for making the video. Very helpful indeed. I bought a used mower and the owners manual did not come with it. I'm better at watching videos rather than reading the instructions anyway. Btw... the drain hose on my mower for some reason is on the other side and there is no hole to direct it through. But the hole in the chasis is on the opposite side as you mentioned. Weird!
yeah, sometimes engineers don't take into consideration the maintenance that needs to be done. I should know... I work in industrial maintenance. lol. Thanks for watching and commenting.
How many hours on that IS1500Z ? What is the deck size 44 or 48"
When checking oil do you turn the oil cap all the way on? Or simply push it down until it hits threads? I’ve heard different things but want to make sure I am doing it right.
It’s the latter. Should be printed on the dipstick
New oil would be better since old has residue that may prevent a good seal
Would this be the same for an Is 2100Z
I need to know as well
It worked for me. There is a drain hose that you run through the frame.
@@VinnieChenzo Found it. Thanks
I just bought one of these sight unseen at an auction last night and will be picking it up today. Hopefully it will start and go and cut.
Dirty drain oil on the filter gasket...not a good idea. Never know what contaminants are lingering just waiting to puncture that rubber seal.
