Ferrari could be fighting for constructors, if both Leclerk and Hamilton score good points maybe even a drivers, Red Bull may be focusing on another Drivers, can Lawson come up with some good points to help constructors. Not forgetting can’t rule out McClaren. Gonna be great
Red Bull has lost Newey, Will Courtenay, Rob Marshall, Jonathan Wheatley and Sergio Perez amongst others of late. My money is on the likes of Carlos Sainz not choosing to go within a sniff of the place? We all prefer Williams F1 over RBR in our heart of hearts today now don't we? Meanwhile, and insofar as my now somewhat idle and passive interest in this category so informs, the management at RBR appears to be firmly divided into two separate camps. Seemingly no one has had the ability to sort this out to the good with any degree or semblance of decisiveness, good standing and integrity. RBR has essentially pegged and festered and has started to sink back over the course of 2024. Moreover, the sport is always 'on edge' and needs to keep a beady eye on them because they have form as sophisticated yet desperado cheats under their current management structure (when given half a chance). Meanwhile, all this is talk about driver hierarchy simply further demonstrates just what an unsportsmanlike nonce Horner truly is. 'Team Orders' was always properly the province of some mid season pivot within F1 where one driver clearly demonstrates a shot at the title whilst the other team member has shown themselves as some 'tool' maker. No one has ever liked 'team orders' and therefore these methods are always and only properly ever a needs must. 2024 has seen Verstappen capitalise on a very strong start to the season but, and by mid way through, the score was more than evened by Ferrari and McLaren in alternation. As a result, Horner is not today no longer even the best of the rest. At a high level, western sporting values encapsulate the best of our freedoms and our democracy. F1 needs to strive in terms of excellence in achieving these lofty ideals. There is no other proper choice. No one want to see grubby and corrupt and therefore and necessarily strict, authoritarian rule take root in any sport nor indeed, and for that matter, within any fabric of our lives. I truly hope that Ferrari, McLaren or Mercedes can put this Verstappen/Horner axis to the sword in 2025? I'd like to see the pair of them beaten down the field like they have never been been down before. True competition delivering success through free market economics is the best method for when it comes to dealing with schlocks like these.
Horny needs to stick to poking the spice wrap,.....Ferrari has one Great Driver and then they have Charles...period, and if Chuck wants to win he better sit back and learn from the greatest modern F1 driver there is and his name is "Sir Hamilton" 8 time F1 Champ!

Great article. Driver strategy works, well for year one. We will be back to focus on the cars from 2026...

A good strategy iff - Max stays healthy.
