I just want to thank you for the videos. You’re by far the best teacher I’ve ever met. This includes the ones I have paid money to see! Thanks for simplifying the process, for not playing music and not trying to be so full of energy! Keep up the fabulous work!!😊
My goodness... I've watched literally hundreds of quilting videos and you are by far one of the best teachers I've ever watched. I just found you today, I've never done a sew a long it seems you been at this one awhile, I just chopped up the last of my background fabric today. I love the blocks your doing. If you keep this up you will definitely grow your channel your very good at this! ♥️
Well, this is one of the nicest comments ever, thank you! I try really hard to explain as much as I can and make my videos easy for everyone to understand so, I'm so happy to hear that you feel that way! Thank you again!

The Dresden intimidates me. Glad i found your tutorial. Really enjoy your teaching style and especially appreciate that you arent chatting constantly. Lol. Thank you!
Jessica, you are a gifted teacher and a really good quilter! Thank you for all your work sharing your gifts with us! I am a 80 year old quilter and retired teacher of small children, so I know what it takes to succeed at both endeavors! ❤️
Wonderful demonstration. Easy to follow in timely manner. Enjoy myself watching. Now I have something on my mind on Dresden. A new word for me today is Dresden. Thank you.
I'm so happy that I've discovered you. I'm amazed that someone so young knows this technique, but what a blessing for all of us. I own my family's only Dresden quilt, which is about 100 years old! My sisters always drool over the quilt. Perhaps now I can surprise them with a lap quilt or something like that in the dresden style. :-) Thank you so much for taking the time to share your skills and talents with us. God bless you. ❤🙏🏻
I’ve done dozens of Dresden’s, it’s my favorite block. I like what you suggested about making sure they lay flat. It’s the 1st time I heard of this method.
Wonderful! I have struggled with the curved Dresden Plate for too long, and have settled for the pointed treatment, but I prefer the curved plate. Thank you so much for solving my problem!
Jessica, I just found your channel this morning and I am thrilled with your style of teaching and explanation. You are so generous with your time and clarity. You have opened my eyes to the ease with which the dresden block can be constructed. I am excited to make them and see the final result. I am also excited now to check out the other blocks and also continue to watch every video you have done. I love simplicity, and I love quilting with a clear path in front of me. You get a 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review from be. You're awesome!!
Never thought to use starch, glue for the centers, this was really informative. Your explanations are concise, thorough, easy to understand, this summer I made my first Dresden and could have used those tips 😉thanks
I am SEW grateful that I found you this week! I've been a quilt lover forever and started in the 90's but always got "afraid" of traditional, so I did modern and made up my own designs. Now that's to you I am finally going to branch out. You're an amazing teacher!🤭
Jessica, as I was watching this I was so impressed with your teaching skills… you explain absolutely everything! A beginner could learn so much from you and while I am not a beginner I learned about little things that I occasionally struggle with. So thinking I needed to comment to tell you and other viewers that you are simply and amazing teacher, I read the other comments and everyone has exactly the same reaction to you tutorial! U Win! The best online teacher ! ! I will be back for more!
Starting my second Dresden, hand sewing these to the background and looking good. Your tutorial of the center is very good. I will try your freezer paper work. Thanks!
Beautiful. I love the block it is so nice. Love your colors as well. Can’t wait to try the bigger ones. The only one I did was for a tiny quilt. And like you said , I was so worried it was going all wonky, but it turned out perfectly. I just took my time. Did just what you did with the smaller one. I made sure it was in lined. Anna did it by hand and it turned out great thank you for sharing. I did pick up some other little handsome things to do to make it lie or not lie but to stitch it better thank you so much. Have a great day.😊
I love Dresden blocks. I have several on cushions or upholstered chairs but I’ve never made a quilt. Maybe I should!! When I sew my blades on to the background fabric I always use a feather embroidery stitch on my sewing machine and I always use batting underneath the plate area so when embroidered it looks 3D. Thank you I enjoyed your video.
I am so pleased I found you! Dresden plate intimidated me for years. Watching your method, your voice is very nice. You show us everything. Thank you. 😊
I'm re-watching your video directions. This has been so helpful to me! Thank you for doing each step by step showing a couple of steps twice. It's been very helpful! Blessings to you!
You give instructions so well. I have a sewing machine but dont use it as I prefer hand sewing so I'm glad that you did some of that to show that you can hand sew this project. I too have always been fascinated by the Dresden Plate and you have taken alot of the mystery out of it. I would also like to see you do some Quilt as You Go projects. Thank you new subscriber here ✌🏻♥️
Hello Jessica, this was a great video on making dresen plate blocks. I really appreciate all your details on your instructions. And you went slow enough so that along with the instructions it could be seen easily in the video. Beautiful hand stitching also. It's a lot of work I think making the Dresden plate blocks. But so worth it, I so enjoyed watching this video so much. That I joined your site. Looking forward to more of your videos. And learning how to do more things. Thank you for your time.
Enjoyed watching you for the first time. Directions are concise & easy to follow. Will be watching you. You may have given this ole woman hope for quilting after all these years. Lol. Thanks!!!
Easier way cut 2 circles plus seam allowance. Right sides together. Sew completely closed. Cut an x in back side of circle to turn circle inside out. Using your crochet hook about your circle. Press. Can clip seam before you turn it which will help it to lay flat better
Beautiful needlework. I really never thought about it before but I didn't think just one stitch at the time what's the way it was done. LOL I was told 45 stitches on your needle then pull and when I done that quilting none of it was in uniform they were big small medium stitches etcetera... not looking good at all .😪 ,when quilting by hand... thank you, that's such a beautiful Quilt Block as well tasteful and neat . Like I would love my work to look like ..?thank you again for sharing. .. beautiful work❤
You can load as many stitches as you want. Sometimes I do a bunch and sometimes I only do one at a time. I don't believe there is a right or wrong way.

I have gone back through the video twice and not hearing what size to make the background blocks Thank you for the template also, keep up the good work you do beautiful work and so wonderful at teaching, your a natural 💗
