Health care degrees are exempt from SFE. So if you already have a degree you can still get loans for a health care degree.

I didn’t know that. That’s cool, just sucks that it’s more debt for people

Actually if you have done a degree already you can still get another loan as student finance considers Midwifery, nursing and paramedic degree for a second loan.

Oh that's so crazy I didn't know that. I know some people in my cohort had to pay for their own, maybe their doing the PGdip

Yes I have a previous degree and my midwifery degree is fully funded by student finance. Think its only funded if your previous degree is non healthcare related.

I'm doing a PGDip Midwifery (already have a degree) & I got fully funded. The students in the previous year had to self-fund so I think they recently changed the system.

Hi, Louisa! I'm an american but I'm able to apply for dual citizenship with an EU country. Do you know if I could apply to a midwifery course as an EU student even though I live overseas? Also, I really love your videos :)

I am not sure. I know for definite to claim UK resistance you have to have lived here for about 3 years I believe. You will have to ask a university administrator. Sorry I couldn’t help
