Biscuits?!?!? Be still my heart! Can you believe this southern girl hasn’t had a biscuit in over 2 years? As soon as I can get my hands on some CarbQuick, it’s going down in. Y kitchen. Thank you so much for this recipe.
I have Carbquick. Sour cream and diet 7 up I don't. Any chance at subbing cottage cheese (or even Greek yogurt which I have but don't like) and sparkling water? Thanks Shelley!
@@dietitianshelly Okay I blended the cottage cheese and that works perfectly. The closest sparkling I had to 7up was strawberry lemonade, lol - but you don't taste that at all, of course, in the finished biscuit. Texture is perfect, size is perfect, flavor is just okay - which for me is down to the carbquik because there is something in it I don't like the taste of. Regardless, this is a terrific biscuit base and turned out much better than any other carbquik biscuits I've tried. I just need to figure out how to overcome that carbquik essence or whatever it is in there I find unsavory. Even butter extract and buttermilk powder hasn't helped that. Anyway, thank you so much; I can work with this!
Yes - many report this! Few thoughts to prevent the 'cooling sensation): -Use 1/2 the amount (for example - if the recipe calls for 1 cup, use 1/2 cup) -Switch over to Monkfruit or Allulose - still using a smaller amount.
Just bought the Carbquik. Said my prayers when I paid for it! Can’t wait to try a biscuit.
Yes yes yes!

Instead of 7up zero, can you use soda stream and greek yogurt? I make my own soda by SodaStream and I forgot to buy sour cream.

Love Popeyes spicy chicken. My favorite so when I travel and see Popeyes I stop and eat.

Do the greek yogurt OR blend the cottage cheese! It may be plain with the sparking but give it a try!
@@dietitianshelly I have flavored sparkling; maybe even lemon lime around here. Thank you; will try soon!

I have a container of carbalose flour for some reason. Now I need to find a recipe for diy carb quick.

Does anyone else get a cold metallic feeling in their mouth using swerve?

@@dietitianshelly I really like the allulose/monkfruit blends, and they also do make a brown sugar version.
