What do you gain with anger and bitterness? It is driven by pride and I had years of anger the caused massive problems with my children and my wife. When God strips you clean, you see clearly your evil ways and deeds. Then this clarity comes, and you ask yourself “why would anyone want to spend one second with someone like me”? Then it takes real humility to come to terms with who you have become. That is the moment you have to choose, God and the grace he gave you and will you be like Jesus after what he did for you? Will you? I choose the Lord and no matter what I will continue to choose the Lord. Praise God.

Thank you another great podcast and highly appreciated. We must always remember to be Christ like even when our prodigal has pushed us to our limits.

Great podcast,I’ve been turning the cheek for sometime now. I’d like to ask you both the same question. Not sure if you have but have you both ever considered doing your own separate podcast of your own testimony,Tom you as the stander and of course Amy as the prodigal? There are not many singular testimonies that I can find on a male standers and a female prodigals.

If your trying to save your marriage pay special attention. My wife had affair in 2019, i was patient and loving- to save out family- we struggled through 2019 and 2020.. in 2021 she became very angry and abusive- and by end of 2021 i broke down and resented her, and started to respond to her in anger- this lead to her leaving with out daughter. I have guilt that i didnt have control of my emotions like i did the first two years.
What im trying to say, it its not out time, Gods time- I feel we may have been close to reconciliation but i failed at the end. and it hurts.

Praise be to God that He can work and transform despite the mistakes and missteps we make while on the road to marriage restoration. Blessings!

When will people learn it has NOTHING to do with our efforts or how we act. It has everything to do with God's timing. You could have been PERFECT, and your wife still would have left you!! It's called deception for a reason. There is so much false teaching out there!
