Is this program different from Alpha Phonics in the method or set up?
I so so need a book for my kids. I'm starting to help my second graders learn to read first time teacher looking for ideas.
What book do I need? My 4 year old just started pre k
It’s all in the attitude and approach. If a parent is demanding and impatient while teaching, whatever their child’s age, there will be negative repercussions. But a person like Jady not only has the teaching skills, she also has the ideal temperament. Her kids are truly blessed.

Sadly this is my problem.. I am trying to be a lot more patient and it is hard especially because my son is very energized and doesn’t sit at a place.. it makes me sad because I want the best for him 😩

As a mom and a licensed teacher with a masters in Reading everything you are showing us is exactly how everyone should be taught to read. Thank you for sharing how parent(s)/caregivers and teachers teaching reading should be done. I started with letter sounds, at 11 months old, in the high chair with my little one. She has been an avid fluent reader since the age of 4! You should hear her now at 7! My daughter's ZPD in 2nd grade is 3.8-4.1 😮 and her estimated reading level is the end of 3rd grade - the beginning of 4th grade. She loves to read! ❤📚🙌 I've watched your videos since 2014! Thank you for teaching reading the correct way!

*So many teachers reverse these steps and it is a huge mistake.

I started doing letter sounds with my son when he was 10 months old. He is now 20 months and he knows his alphabet in both english and soanish as well as the letter sounds for each one. Additionally, he also knows numbers 1-20 in both English and Spanish as well as shapes, colors, animals, fruits and vegetables. It all started woth your video of one minute a day with flashcards. Thank you so much! We are now ready to start blending and he's not even 2 yet.
Hi Jada A ....your method really works....i am a homeschooler and have a 4 yr old already reading level 2 books and is an excellent decoder of new complex words...wow ...even I am amazed MANY days. I give all glory to God ....i believe he is the one doing it!! God bless you and yours!
Jady A you were my template. Thank you for the tips. I adjusted the content you put out to suit my girl. She is reading more complex words at age 4. Reading is the greatest gift you can provide to a child.
I’ve been teaching my preschooler how to read with your book and I noticed my 2 year old is picking up the pages and sounding out the words. Since he already knows all his letter sounds it’s so easy for him. I cannot believe it, at 2 years old!! All thanks to Jady a. God bless you and your family! ❤
This is pretty much the same thing as Abeka, which has a tried and true phonics program teaching 3 and 4 year olds to read for 40 years.
We use Abeka and I swear by it. My daughter started reading within 6 weeks with Abeka. I'm currently starting my 3 year old with it .
I appreciate your videos helping reduce the stigma attached to teaching little ones to read. There's a misconception that parents who teach our young children to read are drilling them for hours on end, demanding and pushing them in ways that are too much for a small child, when that is not the truth at all. Most of us are gentle in our approach and make it fun and enjoyable for our kids.
Great job teaching her to read at 2! My 3 year old has speech delays, so it's just not feasible to expect him to read yet, but I'm hoping by 4 I'll have him reading :-)
One of the things I think you're doing amazingly is making it so fun and making such positive connections in their mind between reading and spending fun quality time with you. You radiate patience and kindness and obvious joy. It's lovely to see ❤
I am autistic and I taught myself how to read before kindergarten. SCRUELS are meat grinders. I had genius level IQ. At age 53, my IQ is a fraction of what it was. SCRUEL dumbed me down and made a moron out of me. Too bad we don't get to choose our parents. Both my parents are deceased. I don't miss them. Most parents are child abusers. You're among the few exceptions to the rule. Meanwhile, I am facing a slow, agonizing, excruciating death in public housing with ZERO assets, ZERO cash flow, living from trust fund check to trust fund check. At least I don't have kids and never will. At age 43, I stopped getting injections.
This is so awsome to know.. because my kid learnt to read words when he was 1year 10months old.. zero flash cards, zero practice on phonics.. I was wondering how he learnt so fast... now I understand.. he would watch phonics videos on RUclips and he picked up the sounds each letter makes.. and he learnt from there... and he did this all by himself.. now he is 2.5 years old and I guess the biggest downside to him learning to read is that he reads the messages on my phone😅 sometimes he is standing on the sofa behind me reading the words while I'm typing 😆 the 1st time it happened was when I was placing an order for carrot cake.. which was supposed to be a surprise for him😅😆

Meaning must teach letter sounds first, then letter names?
In my country, people teach young children ABC alphabet songs first before letter sounds.
Absolutely love the idea of feeling 'empowered' for our little ones. And totally agree, teaching them to read is just a few minutes a day, and it's even fun actually, can be! Thank you, Jady! Our just turned 6 year old is a great reader, I started teaching her at 3 after learning from your videos. Now teaching our second child and will also eventually our baby!
You are a true blessing. I bought all your books and currently am teaching my son. He is developmentally delayed due to a surgery on his head at eight months that he technically died from. They brought him back and he is now delayed but with your help and books I am getting him where he needs to be. Thank you so much!!!
How did you progress with writing skills
I used some of your video suggestions and my girl started reading at 2. She is 3 now and reads quite well. :) my 1.5 year old has a different personality and hasn’t been as interested in letters and sounds yet but I’m beginning to try a similar method with her.

Hello Jady, I am a primary school teacher in my country, I currently live in the Usa, I speak English at an intermediate level, I have a 5-year-old daughter, amazingly intelligent in my opinion, I would like to know more English to teach her to read, I feel that she is very close , she knows the sounds, the entire alphabet, read it and write it in upper and lower case and its sounds, how can I do in this case my first language is Spanish

I tell everyone I can to subscribe to your channel and follow your method. I started singing letter sounds from my daughters birth. By 2 years old she was reading as well. We moved on to sight words after blends as you directed( she knows over 100). Her preschool Montessori teacher sends home short story Bob books home with her and she completes lessons with the kindergarteners. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. We just started TGTB K at 3 years old and she is flying through it. I am tearing up because you have taught me how to have fun and learn with my child everyday! 🙌🏾🥰🙏🏾🤓😘 it really only takes consistency daily!

Great system, I use this system when I was teaching to kids with learning disabilities. And high functioning children. Everyone has different learning processes in order to learn! Yes absolutely, do not move on until the child masters the lesson and can read it on their own.

Which Elemental Phonics book would you recommend for a child who reads comfortably at around levels H-J with comprehension(I haven't tested him in almost 6 months) he is also only 3 years old? I do plan to grab your level 1 book for my 2 year old. He knows some letter sounds but not all of them quite yet.

I think you are multi-lingual. Is it possible to teach the 2 year old sound for English and your other spoken language? How would you help the toddler to cope with compartmentalising the differences in pronunciations of the 2 sounds?
I teach the child in an African language but the school is teaching the child in English. I do not plan to teach any English but I want to teach my mother tongue.

My third son is 2 and knows the letter sounds but he do not know to write and spell, what should I do in this case. Like my second son finish your phonics 1 but he is still not writing perfectly and fast, but on the time of to learn to read he is doing well, is going great and he is only 3 years old. What should I do with writing and spelling not going along with the programs?

I have 5 months twin boys. They were born premature, so we consider them as 3 months old. I want to teach them reading as soon as they are ready. When is ideal to start teaching them? Is it ok to teach them 2 different languages at the same time?
My Son is 21 months and he doesnt have a huge vocabulary but is already able to sound out some letters . Proof that the earlier you start( make it fun ) the easier it is to teach

She didn't print it...she just wrote the letter on index cards and laminated them...I think
I found mine through a Google search. Look up alphabet flash cards. Print, laminate and cut out.
