I was a 2nd grade teacher for many years and now have a 1 year old of my own. I wanted to start teaching her but was so overwhelmed with where to start even though I am a teacher myself, so I can only imagine how other parents feel! Thank you for these videos. I have found them all so helpful! You explain wonderfully and detailed. Your attitude is also so encouraging for parents!
My daughter knew her Alphabet, colors, shapes (including pentagon hexagon etc) & numbers (1-10) when she was 15months. She knows how to count up to 30 now and count in another language. She’s 2 y/o (26 months) now and loves books even more. She can speak in full sentences now. I probably read her 5 books minimum a day. I’m hoping to teach her how to read as early as now as she is very interested. She memorized some of the pages of some her books that some people think she can actually read. I’ll definitely try this! Thank you so much!!
How you do this
@@puzzela567 my daughter is 2 as well and knows a lot of these things. We do flash cards as well as when we read we talk about the pictures. I will be starting letter sounds soon and will be working toward teaching her to read.
Wow🎉what did you do before she was 15 months? That’s amazing results
I just want to say Thank you soooo much my daughter is now 5 in kindergarten we started with you 4 years ago I kept her home and used all of your items she learned so fast and she is was school ready. I eneded up sending her to preK just for social. The teachers were so impressed and asked me what I did. I let them know about you and your tools. I now share this video and encourage other parents to use your learning techniques. She is doing super well in Kindergarten. You are such a Blessing and thank you for sharing your knowledge. ❤️
As an educator, I wish more parents did these activities with their children. It would certainly help to prepare them to enter school.
I absolutely love her . Ur amazing thank you . I have wanted to start doing mock school with my toddler . So I have been online trying to find good example of how to start . This woman is by far the best I have found so far .
I love to teach my son but keeping his attention has been the difficult part . So when she said that children learn fast it made a lot of since .
Thank you so much
Flash Cards WORK! Our son is 13 months and he LOVES his flash cards and knows all of his letter sounds, and numbers up to 10! At 13 months! Listen to her, she's very right!
Hello, could he say them properly? What method did you use?
@Xavier-es4gi Yes, he could. We taught him letter sounds before teaching the actual letters. He's now three and can read on a 5th grade level. We had him tested, and he's been diagnosed as intellectually gifted, functioning between the ages 12-14.
@@serenelibra61that's really amazing you can be very proud. thanks for the answer, I think my child is learning quite fast but some sounds are still too much, it might also be language related. Still I would like to know more about the way you used flash cards. were you going fast as explained in this video and do you have any other tips?
Or do you know think that his learning abilities comes from how gifted he his more than a specific method? Thank you
@Xavier-es4gi We are very proud. I'd say we went moderate speed with flash cards. But sorry fast, but not so slow that he lost interest. Keep in mind that their attention span is only good for like 5mins at a time, so you have to go like one card every 1.5 real seconds. If you do the pause, when counting you'll see it's just enough time for you to see, say, and read the card.
I think each child is different, so I think different methods work differently for each child.
Also, I think in part him being gifted, definitely played a major role in his retention of information.
@@serenelibra61ok thanks à lot for taking the time to answer

So happy I found you .
Thanks again. For this such a resource.
I am a public school teacher and have been watching you since my kiddos were small and before I entered the classroom. I would love you to do ( if you haven't already) small group demonstration.
So glad I found you channel, I can’t wait to teach my child!
Just purchased the toddler learning folder pdfs! Started putting it together I love all of the activities thank you!!
I made my own flashcards with my older daughter for my almost 2 year old. We did alot of colours, shades, and different shapes. And we do them almost every other day. I did this with my daughter, flash cards, singing and I read to her all the time and she's the 2nd most advanced reader in mathematics in her class. When she was born she was also premature and way behind and a lot of things so doing these extra steps helped a lot.
I am Very happy to read this!!!🎉

my daughter who is one hates when i try and read to her. she'll slap the book out of my hands. my son was the same way tho, and they are both very advanced with their speech regardless. my 3 year old loves it now!
Thanks so much for sharing this it really helps a lot I really appreciate it. Is it better to teach a two-year-old the upper or lower case alphabet first.

what do you do if you cant get your two year old to engage in the acitvity? like i try to get my son to sit and do puzzles or look at flash cards and his attention span is like 10 seconds and then he wants to do something else. I feel like the only thing he will sit for are books..its so frustrating!
Thank you for sharing 👍
Thanks so much 🙏 ths is really so helpful....
I appreciate your content, it's very encouraging:-)
As it relates to screen time, I have 4 children (9yrs, 5yrs, 2yrs, & 3months) and it's a challenge when my 9yr old is given screen time because my 5yrs & 2yrs behave as though they are to get the same amount of screen time. Any advice on how to address this matter?
Any ideas for winter activities?
I love thisss❤❤❤thankyouuu
Aaaaw she's so cute lots to love
Thank you ma'am
Thanks alot for giving us amazing ideas 🙂
I feel guilty for not coming across this content earlier and implementing these regimes with my now nearly 3 year old. We kind of just 'outsourced' it to the local nursery but I've always had this feeling that we should be doing more. I have lovely parents but I was an only child in our household and didn't really received the best 'education focused' parenting so don't know what I'm supposed to be doing now that I have a child of my own.
Judy for homeschooling do you have to follow a specific curriculum?
How long did it take for her to understand what you wanted her to do in the binder?
Thanks
From Nigeria am interested in the materials
Hey can I purchase this matching file from you , secondly I started teaching the alphabet to my 2 and 6 months old son wondering NG if this will affect the letter sounds which o should have introduced in the first place.
Thank you u have impacted in my ability to give our sone a head starts he loves the flash cards and puzzles.
Jady can you add activities about social emotional regulation and activities to help kids with high functioning autism/adhd about social behavior?
Thank you for helping us be better parents to teach these kids
Where can I get the laminated flashcards
Hi , Can you please do videos on teaching kids with special needs and behavioral issues , sensory etc
In school , home etc ❤
Amazing❤️I really love this❤️
Where can I get an alphabet chart like the one you used on this video?
Thank you so much jady for sharing such beautiful videos with us. I was so confused how to teach my two years old son but you made it so easy for us describing each and every content that should be involved to teach a child. Ms jady can I have details of toddler folders . I want to make one for my son .
Could you do this for 4 year olds?
I have school tomorrow morning and eat my breakfast and then I have to go outside for my bus stop by picking me up soon as Monday
I've been looking for ways to engage and help my 1 year old learn. Thank you for sharing, I'm going to start implementing these. Quick question, when teaching the letter sounds did you wait until your child said more words? Or did you recite it to them everyday until they eventually started doing it with you? Thanks in advance.
This is EXCELLENT content! I took notes, and will be implementing ASAP with my toddler. Thank you so much Jady, for sharing your knowledge and expertise!
I have a question though...
We are a bilingual family, and I speak to my toddler in both languages, with an emphasis on Spanish. How do I teach numbers, colors, etc if I want him to also know those facts in Spanish?
Not sure if I should teach both at the same time, or just English and later in Spanish?
I have a 5yo who has a hard time speaking and understanding Spanish and I believe it’s bc once he started preschool at age 3, everything that was taught was in English, and was reinforced at home in English as well.
Any advice is greatly appreciated! 🙏💗
She just likes the come t and didn’t even help you. LOL.
Curious to hear some thoughts on this one myself.
Teach both
I would say teach everything in Spanish at home, once the child goes to preschool they pick up English really fast. I speak both English and Spanish fluently (reading, writing, speaking) grew up in a Spanish in the home, English outside the door language mentality lol
@@walkdiwalk4ever hi, I'm also raising a bilingual toddler. Did this technique work out well with your kids? I only speak spanish to her because I want it to be her first language but it's so hard trying to figure out how to manage it all, thank you.
Wow very nice
How can I download it. Thank
I'm a full-time SE TA any advice for my kids none verbal.
I’m having a hard time getting the printable content for the numbers color etc? Can you please help me?

Regards
Good evening Jady Could you please guide me to discipline and make routine and teach my 7 and 9 year children.I would be highly obliged.Swati
Where do you find your botons and all the material you use? They are so atractivo for the kids
Do you make these books and sell them I definitely would fly one. I just know I wouldn’t be able to make the time to make purchasing it, and sitting down with the child is definitely something I can do, and would do what making is so difficult
