Thanks! Im not sure my wife thinks that way and there are several boxes of things that need to be 'moved on' just dont seem to get around to it!
Almost all of these i repaired back in the day had a bad backlight. That is called a ccfl backlight. Cold cathode flurosscent lamp. They never lasted long.
Its great to talk with people who worked on this stuff in the past. They are lovely and cute little things and I am tying to give it a new life...
