Words by heart will always be my favorite billy ray song
So, if Billy Ray Cyrus is credited to "Old Town Road" by Lil Nas X thanks to the remix he is on, does that mean he would no longer be a one-hit wonder?
Under the rules of technicality: Yes
I remember nephew was like 4 y/o and was nuts about this song. It drove my sister crazy. 😂
Billy Ray Cyrus is a two time one hit wonder
So much for him being a one hit wonder.
This man has a number 1 hit now
As a Filipino, this song is still played at Filipino parties while every auntie line dances in the middle of the ballroom.....
speaking from experience.
11:54 Okay. I'm not made of stone. That is adorable.
Hat down, cross-town, livin' like a rockstar
Spent a lot of money on my brand-new guitar
Baby's got a habit: diamond rings and Fendi sports bras
Ridin' down Rodeo in my Maserati sports car
Got no stress, I've been through all that
I'm like a Marlboro Man so I kick on back
Wish I could roll on back to that old town road
I wanna ride 'til I can't no more
Sad part is I actually do have a single for this.... I don't know why or even how I came to own it since neither myself nor anyone in my family ever actually purchased it.... but I have it.
Old Town Road
Next Pop Song Review?
I grew up on Billy Ray Cyrus debut album thanks to my dad.
When he sings that "Want you to be my Juliet "part in the duet, it reminded me of the male alien singing in the Jabba's Palace song 🤣
That "Some Gave All" song reminds me specifically of "Suspicious Minds" by Elvis Presley, mostly the singing
Billy Ray's singing voice sounds like Meatloaf without any of the things that made meatloaf good.
When Billy Ray says "heaaart of a womooohn...." it makes me think of Trey Parker's "Only a Woman"...also from Team America.
I wonder if Trey Parker actually based his vocals on Cyrus.
I remember listening to Dave Mustaine from Megadeth's audio book.
He said "I got a call from my manager and he said 'Dave, Countdown to Extinction is #2 in the country.'"
Dave replied "well, who's #1?"
Manager replied "Billy Ray Cyrus."
Dave, everso the gentleman, he said "FUCKING REALLY!?"
OHW: "This is Why I'm Hot" by MIMS
Nope. Had two other hits
Todd: I don't think we're ever gonna get a Billy Ray Cyrus revival.
Billy Ray Cyrus: Weeeeeell, I'm gonna take my horse to the Old Town Road!
Todd: Billy Ray you will never have another hit
Can Nobody Tell Me Nothing, You cant tell me nothing
I've been binge watching your vids. Thank You. PS happy you have so many vids
I'm 36 years old and I tell all my milennial co-workers that Miley's dad was a huge huge star when I was a kid and literally none of them believe me. But it was true. He was the biggest thing in music for a year, then in 1992 he sired a stripper named Destiny. Fun fact: Dolly is Destiny's godmother. Not joking.
The Disco Stu I’m gonna need a link to a newspaper article or something before I believe something so perfect, so singular, so.. destined
Dude... you're only 36 you're technically a Millenial... anyone born 1980-1999 is a Millenial.
Yes, Dolly Parton is Destiny's Godmother. Miley Cyrus' real name is Destiny Hope Cyrus.
...you do realize that, at the time you posted this, you're ALSO a Millennial, right?
@@SeanStrife no I am not.
no longer a one-hit wonder, thank old town road.
It’s 2019 and Billy Ray Cyrus is no longer a one-hit wonder
Well if you count old town road
Well now here we are
Every 10-20 years Billy Ray comes out of the woodwork to make someone and something a big deal
My dad used to front a bluegrass band and was forced to play this song during its heyday.
I watched this for the first time today and now we see BRC in a mainstream song today as well
BRC is like what music John Mellencamp would make if he got chronic amnesia in Tennesse.
Dang, now I want to see any coverage of neo swing bands of the late 90s.
Better or worse than "She thinks my tractor's sexy"?
Dude my tractors sexy better lol
Ciara.Chaya Better. A whole lot better.
Ridin on a tractor, lean all in my bladder
I couldn't wait for this song to go away! Not only was it annoying, but the radio stations and bar jukeboxes played this song every 15 minutes!
Am I the only one who was singing along to themselves with that piano sample while watching this video at midnight?
I remember almost all of these songs, especially Some Gave All. but i had never heard Achy Breaky Heart until Hannah Montana.
Anyone else reminded of Animaniacs?
+Noah Blank Don't tell my head, my hallow empty head.
I'm from brazil and I always thought it was an original by one of our most famous "country music" artists. I'm shocked to know it was a cover
It sounds like he's singing "Some gay ball."
Saintnick90 Maybe he is.
My best memory of BRC and this song is Tiny Toon Adventures. They parodied him as “Billy Ray Syrinx” and the lyric went “Don’t tell my head, my empty, hollow head”
Guys, we didn’t get a Billy Ray renaissance. He got featured on a hit, riding a newcomer’s coattails.
This is a fantastic video from Todd In the Shadows and this is a great song by Billy Ray Cyrus and he was a good singer
