    It’s awesome to see Citi having so many great options now! With their current credit card lineup, I’ll definitely be looking at getting some of these cards in the future. Great video John 👍

      Thank you Daniel - agreed, happy to see Citi stepping it up with the AA partnership!!

    I'm sure many folks realize this by now, but AA as a transfer partner was only a temporary arrangement; it is over now.

    That's going to be such a good partnership with AA! We're going to have access to amazing sweet spots. Can you say first class on JAL to Tokyo for 80k!!! Great video bud. I'm excited to start playing in the Citi space more.

      Thank you!! And yes, I'm very excited for this new partnership to develop!! I guess this slightly makes up for Citi AA mailers going away haha

    I am always baffled by how in depth your research is and your understanding of the system. Crazy how valuable these cards can be

    It actually is pretty each to transfer points with citi cards. You can convert cash back from the double cash to YT point and the custom cash card earns YT points as well. Thus these 2 cards along with the premier, you can can pull the points together

      Great call out Andrew, appreciate you bringing that tp my attention! Now with the ability to transfer to AA I'm extremely excited about Citi as true contender to Chase and Amex ecosystems! Which Citi cards do you currently run?

    Is Citi a card program you've consider previously?

      I chose the Chase Sapphire preferred because of their 100k sign up bonus that was running at the same time as this.

    I had instant approval for citibank, and I had just gotten a chase credit card 2 weeks prior. I was denied for the chase card originally, but approved through the reconsideration.

    I don't think AA is transfer partner anymore. It was just temporary right?

    Citi double cash makes everything 2 points per dollar. Makes this fantastic.

    Can anyone clear up the eligibility of Citi sign up bonuses on different cards. Is there a 24 month approval span needed? I know you can only get 1 SUB on the same card in 48 months

  • @miguelbaca8086
    @miguelbaca8086 2 года назад

    I'm thinking about completing my citi trifecta just because of how many points citi cards earn, already have the double cash and custom cash, so will have to apply for this one as soon as they get the 80k bonus back or when I have another big expense coming

    Their affiliation with Qatar is the main draw for me, believe it or not.
    Otherwise, it's not worth it to me, especially with that hotel credit requirement needing me to book a $500 minimum.
    Their spend categories are great though. Having both grocery and gas on a single card is a serious win.

    I really want this card only problem is there’s no way I’m going to be able to spend $4000 in 3 months or so lol I ha e nothing to pay or that I’m in debt lol but I really want this card any suggestions??

    • @johnsfinancetips
      @johnsfinancetips  3 года назад +1

      Thanks for comment Pedro. My suggestion would be to try and pay for things when you're out with friends then sent them a charge on Venmo for example group meals and things. You might be able to use Platiq to pay for rent or mortgage as well. Definitely don't get this card and go into debt though! Always pay on time and in full. Best of luck!!
