One of the reason they also got terrified of ivar was that all christian only thought vikings is barbarian dumb and only thinks of fighting,lust,women. this the first time they met a leader who's intellectual that doesn't care about their land it's goal was clearly their whole country😂

Ivar possessed all of these traits, just look at him. You can see it in his eyes. Ragnar was right. Ivar’s disability was a blessing in disguise. He could’ve been a victim and resent life bc of his legs and end up as a pathetic man. He could’ve been “happy” but that wouldn’t make him great. What made him great is that he overcame his weaknesses and shortcomings and turned it into an unparalleled strength, for his legs have him a perception that no other man could see. After this revelation, Ivar came to the understanding that almost everyone would underestimate him… and that gave him and advantage. The 4 traits I listen, coupled with his sheer aggression and ferocity, made him one of the greatest military strategists of his time.
