    Error in the video: I actually only had 3 bench panels out with 4 table panels for the party of 9. The 3 panels held the ~600 with no problem.
    Update since making the video: We sat 12 people (10 adults, 2 babies) around the table with 4 table panels and 4 bench panels with no problem.

    Thank you so much for this wonderful, and thorough review.of the table.
    I saw an ad on Facebook on the Transformer table..
    I loved the versatile design, and was wondering if it is a good buy.
    Since I have just moved into a larger house, this would come in handy.
    Especially hosting Thanksgiving dinners, and other family gatherings.
    Now I just have to run it through to my wife, and see what she thinks of it.
    Hopefully she approves.
    Costco is having a sale till the end of this month.
    Your thorough review really sold me.
    I hope she’ll agree to it, and we end up getting it! Fingers crossed (hopefully not for long).

      @@boltnut55 Update: the table looks really nice and has served us for parties of up to 8 with 4 little kids and 4 adults. We use it for our game nights regularly. Having the flexibility to adjust the size is great.
      Definitely advise having thick cloths and being careful, the kids banged their utensils causing some scratches and dents easier than I expected sadly.
      Our only regret was getting one of their extendable benches instead of two. The promotion was really good at half off a bench and my wife wants another one but the retail bench price is a bit much.
      TLDR: The table is great, can show damage easier than other tables but is worth the price they charge especially when bundled with promo offers of the coffee table or bench. The benches are a must buy since they also transform and can be tucked away. Benches are tough so get cushions for the butt, especially for kids

  • @amuperle1

    Hi Jo Mama, when it is really high quality solid wood, why can you not remove scratches easily. if the wooden construction is only covered by veneer, it is a problem

  • @chapa_style113
    @chapa_style113 Год назад +3

    I've found the following issues with my purchase of the transformer table and bench set:
    -Table top makes loud noise due to wood panel hitting the table metal rails
    -Flimsy chairs due to the small washers and screws provided for installation
    -Chair screw holes not properly manufactured causing stripping of the screws
    The Transformer Table Warranty team told me that I cannot return the product without it being in the 'Original' packaging. This is an issue because the packaging was disposed of and we no longer own. After reaching out to the warranty team - they said:
    "Please be advised that our warranty policy for returns is clear and We feel that the client's remorse is not reflecting our clear communication about our product.
    The client has a responsibility to read before purchasing and ask all questions to avoid misunderstanding. We provide Free samples as well before purchase to avoid any disappointment, in your case they were not requested, so we would have to treat this as you had been informed and did take the time to read about our product, as you had agreed to receive our product after acknowledging the product description and Warranty coverage.
    Policy on returning the goods at client cost due to buyer's remorse, not covered by Transformer Table."
    😮‍💨
    In summary, we're quite dissatisfied with the product quality along with the lack of assistance from the warranty department. If you're looking for a rigid table and chairs of the highest quality then I would say the the price point does not reflect that. I'm hopeful I get some customer centric assistance from the Transformer Table team. I'm quite surprised they are unwilling to accept a return without the original packaging. Unable to send back a product after spending thousands of dollars because we don't have original packaging is mind boggling. ‼

      It'll definitely be difficult to pull the table/bench apart on a shag rug/something with a pile. But it might work on certain indoor/outdoor rugs! I had considered putting ours on a rug but decided against it because I didn't know what size to get. I didn't want to get a huge rug that would fit the full configuration since we only have it out with 3 panels day-to-day. If we got a smaller rug and expand the table when guests are over and the table spills over the rug, then it would look weird.

We seat our family of 10 around it easily with only one leaf not used. I did throw a luncheon with 12 ladies and with 2 on each end we were all comfortable. We backed the table on Kickstarter and it was supposed to arrive in December of 2019. I can’t speak to how efficient their shipping is now, but I’m sure it’s much better compared to their Kickstarter days!

      @@jomama1995 @Kristy Gomez, I ordered in Nov 2021 and still have not received mine. Ive received freight scheduling confirmation twice and they ended up being no shows. I think this takes a very long time to come in. Thankfully I did not get rid of my older table prematurely.

      @@boltnut55 I did finally! But, it came damaged (cracked, chipped, scratched) in multiple places and unfortunately it was on pieces that don’t get removed :-/. I tried reaching out and never got a response…..

    How heavy was it when it arrived? Do you think a single person could carry it in themselves?

      Hi Justin! Each box was really heavy and we needed two people to carry each box. You can take a look at my unboxing video to get an idea of how the table was packaged.

    thank you for this video! i am planning to buy one for my new house, but i was reading today on instagram from those that have bought the table that the table scratches and chips very easily. how's yours since you've had it?

    • @jomama1995
      @jomama1995  Год назад +1

      Unfortunately, it does scratches/chips quite easily. We have some chips where the chair legs repeatedly hit the table and my toddler pounded her fork into the table so there are little dents from that. You also can’t write on a single sheet of paper without engraving the table. We learned it the hard way… The table comes with a little bottle of polish/paint but I haven’t had the time to try to cover up the marks, so not sure how well it’ll blend in. Will update you if I ever get around to doing that!

      @@jomama1995 thanks for replying! Bummed to hear it does scratch/chip easily. Especially with writing a paper. Ugh I just love the concept of the table and how big in can get for our space that can’t have a large table on a regular. Are you still happy with it?

    • @jomama1995
      @jomama1995  Год назад +1

      @@heyitsvalentine I’m still really happy with how functional it is and I stopped caring about its cosmetics after a while (probably cuz my house is a mess in general from the kids). We managed to keep it in great condition for at least a year, then we started using it more carelessly. It’ll take a little extra effort, but it’s definitely possible to keep it in good condition if you’re consistent in taking the right precautions!

      I was SO excited to get this table. It is just my husband and I as our grown children are on their own. BUT...when we all come together I need more space. I purchased TWO tables, two benches and the coffee table storage. I put them in our formal dining room, as we only need it for those rare occasions; we use our breakfast nook daily. In the 4 months we have owned it we have used it about 5 times....I am SO DISAPPOINTED! The wood is very soft, and has several dings in the side. No rough use, and we I spoke to customer service they said "wear and tear" really??!!! On something used a few time and owned only 4 months. I am sad I got rid of my 20 year old dining room table (That only had a few scratches and went through the growing years of my children unscathed) I feel I wasted $5,000!!!! Learn from my experience. If you want pictures and proof of purchase just message me!
