Beautiful, thankyou so much!
Thank you so much ❤
Your talk resonates with me. I would love to meet with you someday. I am from Tucson, AZ and practice at Zen Desert Sanga, a Japanese Soto style.
You are inspiring and articulate my experience perfectly.
You are a 12 hour drive away.
Namaste
1=1
Hard to argue with that.
Thank you for a great talk, friend.
Thank You for inspiration to practice 🙏🏻
Thank you🙏🏻🙂
Great talk, thank you
Jon Kabat-Zinn's book is "Wherever you go, there you are."
Kosho Uchiyama was Kodo Sawaki's dharma heir. Shohaku Okumura is Uchiyama's.
Science has a way to unveil the beauty of our universe, it being with the beauty of mathematical formalism, or the miraculous pictures of the cosmic world.
Zen Master Bon Soeng 🙏🙏🙏
In the Sutras, it is said,
The entire Great Great Tri-Sahara Dharmadhatu ( ie Great Great Triple Worlds) is found in a single speck of dust.

( To paraphrase - my physics professor says - at atomic level there is no time & space - 'matter' can be infinitely small or large at the same moment, beyond human imagination.)
"Here we are. Live Phish." 🐟Thank you. 🙏

today my crush picked me up with a car and drove me from one town to another and didn't want anything in return. that's what i call a perfect moment.
listen to it at 2 x times the speed and it's not so annoying ...it brings his timing up to normal speech speed
I am actually happy with the speed as normal myself. Maybe you’re a genius or something :-)

Stick to your Buddhist practice and skip commenting on astrophysics as you do not even have a basic working knowledge on the subject. Is it in the essence of Zen philosophy to presume a sameness where there is none? Would the Buddha have said "all things are me" & "I am all things"?
I think a zen master can use poetic language, by nebula he probably means the original matter or something similar or sunyata which is something that cannot be found objectively or studied by science objectively. It is not zen's intention to study reality objectively. Anyway, there is sameness, but you cannot find it. If you could find it, it would be difference.
Can you please explain what is "basic working knowledge" in your context understanding of astrophysics?
sounds like you know, when we all don't know
I disagree. His comparing space to spirituality is a powerful analogy and it is how I relate to zen.
It is like asking him to not talk about flowers because because he doesn't have a PhD in botany.
This guy is my style.
