@@frankrollins8171 how old is your dad? I definitely think it's safe and affordable, the beach is great. Also if you need anything from a pharmacy, that's also extremely affordable. Is you're father active? Independent? Some areas of the city can be annoying to drive/walk etc. But the last time we were there they were fixing up roads and sidewalks. With regards to food, you can certainly find a lot of western stuff but also Vietnamese food is super yummy (and more affordable)

He had stroke issues but is on regular medication to manage that. He likes going to cafe's, hes a big cappucino fan during the day and he enjoys a good steak for dinner also a few beers. He likes watching sport and surfing the net when hes at cafes or indoors.
That was my experience in Vietnam as well. My last trip in 2020 to Vietnam was amazing. The prices were less expensive than Bali, Thailand. Cambodia was pretty cheap but that was a while back so I cannot compare Cambodia with prices in Vietnam. The last time I visited Cambodia there were a lot of construction built by Chinese ppl and there were a bunch of Chinese businesses everywhere. But in Vietnam, they held their own and the country was thriving when I visited in 2020.
Sometimes cheap doesn't mean everything. Please appreciate the cost as sometimes it's not the cheapest but it's the best you can get at that price. Thank you for loving Danang my city.

There are at least 6 cities in central Vietnam with landscapes similar to Da Nang but with a smaller population such as Quy Nhon, Vung Tau, Tuy Hoa, Nha Trang, Phan Rang - Thap Cham, Nha Trang.

I watched your Da Nang videos from last year and went last month (March 2024). You were so on point with the food options. Kurumi was my favorite (but I also liked your other picks iVegan, Loving Vegan and roots cafe). I did not realize Maia beach club was new. I tried there and the other beach club, Paradise. I found a better spa spot, Sen Boutique Spa. The air quality was excellent when I was there last month (compared to Hanoi which was very bad). Keep up the good work, your suggestions were really good!! 👍🏾

I was in Da Nang in March. We stayed at Brilliant Hotel. So many cafes and good food. Highly recommend Da Nang if you’re not looking for a super busy city like Ho Chi Minh.

In your video, I did not see any aggressive vendors at the Da Nang beach as I saw on Cartagena, Colombia, beaches last year. I pray the municipality keeps it that way. This video is great!
Wow, direct international flights to DaNang? The first time I visited Vietnam in 2014 I had to fly to ho Chi Minh City then fly to Da Nang. So, it’s good to know about the direct flight to Da Nang now.
At present there are direct daily flights from Tokyo, Seoul, Busan, Bangkok, Taiwan, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur to Danang, and there are three flights a week from Chiang Mai, Thailand.

How do you like your Oura Ring? Do you feel like it's fairly accurate? I have a Whoop 4.0 but am considering switching since I'm not a big fan of wristbands/watches
For sleep, Oura seems to berfect in every way, and seeing the readiness score in the morning. Also the stress and resilience stats seem accurate and helpfull. But.... for fitness, it's not so good. I just bought an Apple watch actually for runs and exercise.

Quy Nhon is an upcoming city. 10-20 years from now Quy Nhon is like going to be like Nha Trang or Vung Tau. You forgot Phat Thiet 3 hours from Saigon.

How do you like your Oura Ring? Do you feel like it's fairly accurate? I have a Whoop 4.0 but am considering switching since I'm not a big fan of wristbands/watches
For sleep, Oura seems to berfect in every way, and seeing the readiness score in the morning. Also the stress and resilience stats seem accurate and helpfull. But.... for fitness, it's not so good. I just bought an Apple watch actually for runs and exercise.

Yeah it's very walkable in the beach areas! If you stay in My An close to the beach, you can walk to lots of places easily😊
January can be a bit cold(compared to tropical places), but should be sunny!
How easy is it to meet local girls there compared to Saigon? I heard Da Nang is full of foreign guys and Ukraine/Russian girls- not many local girls who speak English open to meeting foreign tourists.

can you still you apps like grab with an ESIM? I a little worried about not being able to connect without a real phone number.
My Grab is registered with my Finnish number but yeah eSim also gives you a number so it should work no problem.
Da Nang or Boracay? I miss Koh Phangan....and I have never been.
