its not reasonable. IRL wheel sizes are designed around brake size and suspension geometry and most BASE MODEL wheels are the smallest you can fit. hope that makes sense.
@@mprovedtuning that is true. But they also make brake setups for drag cars. Smaller rotors and calipers in the rear. Which lets be honest they don't need that much rear brake if you put a chute on the car.

Nice video. Just started messing around with the drag tuning in the game. Most fun i have had and started playing back in Horizon 3 days. I have been setting up for the 900 metres at Mexico Festival airstrip. The six speed works well there.
Tire pressure 15 psi both Transmission N/A kinda play with it a bit A little positive front camber Anti roll 65 stiff both front and rear Soft front springs (lowest setting) stiff springs in the rear (highest setting) Vehicle raised all the way up in the sky (to keep car stable) Lowest front rebound stiffness, highest rear rebound stiffness Bump stiffness all the way stiff on both Aero N/A Brake N/A Differential 100% both
I've noticed the rally diff in my r35 works a little better. I'm trapping about 1mph faster and on the festival drag strip I've dropped my time 0.2 seconds. Not sure if it's because of the awd but lemme know if you get different results.
I built a Monte Carlo awd w the 7 speed and tuned the gears up to 267 max speed. 1.6 sec 0-60 and 3.7 sec 0-100. With it in AWD it beats every other car off the launch
Couldn't bring myself to take out that amazing v6 from the grand national. So I just copied this build on the 88 monte carlo since they are built on the same chassis car. It came out pretty good.
Hey man just a suggestion. IRL, on your rear wheels you want a small amount of positive camber for launching purposes. When the rear suspension compresses in, it’ll make your rear tires have more contact surface with the road during your launch because that’s when it’s most likely to spin. I believe forza uses the same logic. Give it a shot! Maybe it’s just a placebo effect but I think it helps a little. Good build!
@@marztuning I really only feel like I notice it on light weight big power cars. LS 240z, Opel Kaddett etc. but like I said.. could just be my imagination! Keep the content coming, yours are the only enjoyable forza videos
forza does account for it, you can see what you need in the telemetry screen and it will make micro adjustments as far as traction. that being said i cant get telemetry to work on xbox because it only gives you 1 extra button. you can bring it up but not change it.
An eeasy way to get the launch control rpm up is just hold the brake and acceleration from dead stop it’ll rev up max and then just switch gears to 2nd and then back to first. Tho I don’t know how to make it so I can get a bit higher of revs with that method.
Am I the only one who can’t seem to hook? Like if my first gear is too short all I do is spin, if it’s too long I hook but first gear is long. I feel like I’m dragging in the rain.
I love the vids! Started watching you from fh4 and never stopped watching these insane builds! I was wondering if you could make a video going over each section of tuning and explains why you chose it so it is more understandable for new players and new tuners to get a grip on what they are actually doing to there cars? Best of luck for the future vids
I’ve been working on a 6.7 power stroke 10 speed foxbody for a while now but I can’t figure out the gear ratios. Can you see how fast you can make one?
Did this and I'm still getting wheel spin at launch. I lowered my final drive down all the way and lowered my 1st through 4th gear ratios down a lot bit they still spinning at launch
Just a heads up if you spam the clutch when catching it in the rev pre-staging you can raise the "launch control" rpm and then let off and press and hold in whatever rpm you want to launch with, i got a video on my channel if anyone needs an example. Also the bridge NE of the SW airstrip is almost exactly a 1/4 from the seams where it meets the road so less confusion and i cant recall but i think we measured Teohacian or whatever to be a 1/4 at the trash cans on the right ;)
Although im wondering if an AWD setup with about 85% to the rear works better for launching. The mustang i run seems to not spin as much like that in any case.
