Another tip for your gears instead of looking at the rpm gauge, look at where your max torque is on the power graph while updating the car and note down what rpm max torque and max HP is at and time your gears so your always in the powerband.
Wait huh? Can u plz help me understand what your saying? I’ve heard this powerband thing before, I’ve looked into it a little in Indy car racing but I know nada about cars and even less about math. Can you please help me understand how to read this graph so I know where this Powerband you speak of is? i love this FXn game and I feel if I knew more about tuning and that god forsaken graph this game would only get better to me? Hell I never golfed before playing tiger woods PGA tour 2005 on Xbox, now I’m a 13 handicap 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣who knows maybe in a few years I’ll be wrenching my very own Subaru but for now I think I’ll leave it to the pros 👉🏻that’s where u come in
@@FuhkatRUMpa The point where your horsepower output begins to exceed your torque output is the beginning of your "poweband", and in most cases that powerband will run out to redline. If you look at the power graph in the engine upgrades screen, that's the point where the 2 lines cross each other. So let's just say for example that point is 5200 rpm. You will want to adjust your transmissions gearing so that when you upshift into each gear you will start at 5200 rpm and run that gear out to redline before the next upshift. Basically you are adjusting your transmission gears to keep the engine in the rpm range where it makes the most power.
When you go to tune your car, look at the "gearing" tab. You will see each of your cars gear ratios listed in order from 1st to whatever your top gear is, as well as your differential (final drive) gear ratio. When you move those sliders from left or right, you are changing that specific gears ratio, which changes the rpm where the next gear starts. Use the graph at the bottom right corner of the screen to help you tune the transmission into the peak powerband, and then slay your enemies with blistering acceleration.
Love your channel, I just got FH5 and knew I would have to be able to tune an set my cars up for different situations and your videos make it easier for us to learn. Keep it up an can’t wait to see what else your channel brings… Ps hope to see you go through different styles other than drag
the rear toe statement was incorrect. whatever, we all do it. slightly positive camber in the rear. because higher caster creates camber as well as the squat causing camber so the slightly positive in the rear would counter act it, by trying to keep neutral camber, full contact. concept may mostly apply to a rwd that keeps a squat through most of race.
I tried forever to get my 2 door post Chevy to hook and got it to hook but it bogs bad.I don’t get it maybe because it’s 1700 hp? Idk I did use your vid for all my other drag cars and it works great 👍🏻
Great video, helped me out a ton! Just a quick question. For a mile drag, what transmission would be the best, I am currently using a race transmission as I can reach the end with 6 gear but would it be better to use a higher gear transmission or not?
From what I've heard, the higher you go on transmissions, the more weight you add. Each gear adds more weight. I heard you should not go above 7 gears.
Because it’s the highest the car would hold it’s rpm . In FH4 you could of picked where you wanted the rpm to be at but in this game it’s not like that .
Yes use STANDARD STEERING not simulation. If you are still spinning…… burn out your tires and get them hot and try it then. If it still spins longed the first gear by 10 clicks towards speed .
My Honda Mugen redlines at damn near 8. It shows about 7.5……How do I know or calculate which RPMS not to let my needle drop below? You said for yours since you were at 7k that you didn’t want your timing to drop below 5k . So if mine redline is 7.5, how do I figure that part out?
In case you haven’t figured it out yet you will want to look and the powerband graph when upgrading. The point at which the HP and torque lines cross is the rpm you want each gear to start at
@racdude01 Thx man. Believe it or not, I still have no clue. 🤣 Only because I don't know the graph. Im pretty set on the bottom Hz axis when it comes to knowing the RPMS. It's the Vt Axis of the graph I'm not very fam with. I don't know the #s
Am I going crazy? I used to be able to do that higher rev trick but now I can’t repeat it at all. Did they change it? Pc btw. Other than that everyone in this video is so helpful
The negative camber doesn’t make sense - if you have negative camber when the car squats it’ll just give you MORE negative camber - if anything you can do like a +0.5 so when the car squats it makes that camber Into 0.0 just saying
You can tune AWD just like a rwd and get great results but you can also take a completely different route. Check out Horizon 4 or Forza Motorsport AWD Tuning Guides.
Wherever you put your final drive to, you’ll tune your gears accordingly to the final drive . Meaning it doesn’t matter most of the time unless you have a crazy high powered vehicle that doesn’t weigh much and need that final drive to be at 2.20 .
Would anyone please be able to make me understand this powerband shit please I know pple have type in the comments but having a hard time understanding.
Hey man I use your same format and I have been tuning since Forza Motorsports 3 but I use your base tunes and level it out myself great job man and I would like to get up in a lobby with u! BaadLSA05

What a useful guide bro much appreciated. I’m a big fan of your tunes keep tuning bro.

The caster only adjust the front wheels, not the rear. Caster only affect camber as you steer, not when you are pointed straight.
Can you do pink slips this year like how we did in horizon one? whoever wins the drag race gets gifted the opponents car? Nice tune btw!
Fairly new to tuning in general , came from the stance/cruise community. But learning as I go , very helpful video and comments !
You the Goat continue putting out for the community
We’ve been waiting for this!!
Agreed, Don't tune for real-life, tune for game life.
I had a couple cars spin off the line so make it like 2 clicks longer and it like dead hooks.
Aye bro keep up the great work and that content btw can u do fwd and Awd next ? How to tune I would lovely appreciate it if u did 👍🏽💯
great tutorial man helps out a lot but dont you think you should tune for longer drag runs since there is no official quarter mile strip?
Keep up the good work , rally appreciate you 💪🏾💪🏾💯

Beautiful vid. Helped a lot. Thank you
Teach a man to fish right here lol i watch hella of your vids but now I can make cars you haven’t made yet

can you do this for AWD cars also and do you ever change the stock final drive in the gearing ?
I love how this a guide video on how to tune your own car and there’s still people commenting make this tune do this do that 😂🤦♂️
Why is there no video on tuning drag cars that’s AWD!!! I’m always finding RWD Drag tune guides!

From what I've heard, the higher you go on transmissions, the more weight you add. Each gear adds more weight. I heard you should not go above 7 gears.
just tune ur gears to be hitting the trap in the end of 4th gear
Don't add more gears unless you can't reach your top speed. Along with the weight increase it also means you spend more time shifting
I was told tune the drift trans as as a four speed and get it
How do you know that 5k rpms is the sweet spot? How do I figure that out in different cars?
Because it’s the highest the car would hold it’s rpm . In FH4 you could of picked where you wanted the rpm to be at but in this game it’s not like that .
Let’s go
Say your car comes awd, is it better just to keep and tune it that way or could you try rwd
You could do it either way. I normally swap to rwd always, but it can be fun to tune say an Audi RS3 Avant with a 2jz.
How do I do the high Rev launch cuz every time I try to do it I go backwards then forward then e brake and gas but it never goes past 2000 RPMs
Can you build a Porsche 959 rear wheel drive? With maximun HP
im trying to figure out how to race without traction control and get my cars to hook good
how you hooking so good ? i always spin out
If my car has a slow launch, what do I need to adjust
Nice videos 👍😊👍😊

Can anyone assist with crooked burnouts and launches..?
What about final drive?
great video! any tips on preventing spinning
Yes use STANDARD STEERING not simulation. If you are still spinning…… burn out your tires and get them hot and try it then. If it still spins longed the first gear by 10 clicks towards speed .

On the suspension set up is it the same for awd vs. The rwd ??
No awd is different.

Please put Arabic subtitles in the video🥲
Own one 1307hp
How do you launch like that? Is it on manual with clutch?
Do a c5 build
First!!!
Does the same method work with FWD, but backwards?
Look for a Horizon 4 or Forza Motorsport FWD Tuning Guide for now, it’ll work the same. Most important is remain factory weight, no rollcage.
