Demon Slayer is the definition of perfection through simplicity. The manga and anime are stunningly beautiful and it does everything it has so well that there's a reason it breaks records and has become one of my favorite series of all time. And I'm an older anime and manga fan so I've seen a LOT of it. Agree with the premise of this video. Perfection can never really be achieved, critique is fine, but learn to love things that are flawed but still truly great

Exactly, glad it’s not a hot take then I just know some people can’t let go of the past format where backstories spanned over many episodes, which is also good but I enjoy demon slayers format because it’s pacing is amazing !
the only bad thing i hear people saying about this anime is that either the animation caries it hard or that the story is very simple and not as complex as naruto or any other shounen. like how is that a negative thing lmao, i find ds extremely easy to watch and is perfect for beginner anime watchers. its simple and fun but also has that incredible godly animation which is just so beautiful to watch and enjoy.
Exactly fam, that’s my entire point, I get that it’s not the most complex anime and it’s plot is nowhere near AOT but why has that become the standard. It’s amazingly animated and just a genuinely good watch.
I also need to say that there’s levels too it, this is a perfect anime in the sense it’s easy to get into and super easy to enjoy. And that’s not a given for any anime, now if people want to compare it to AOT, OP, FMA, of course it’s nowhere near the same, but that’s the thing, there’s levels to it. I’m not calling demon slayer a necessary classic, I’m just saying it’s been amazing and seems to only be getting better!
Yes. It's wonderful. It's very sweet, funny, innocent, dark, violent, exciting, interesting. It's so many things at once. I really love it. Incredibly well written and well animated.
Exactly, it balances all of those, sure the tropes can get exaggerated at times, but not enough to make people forget about all the good like the things you just listed.

Yesss, this is set in stone as great because it’s perfect to introduce people to anime greatness and also easily enjoyable to anime vets like myself and a lot of us!
To be honest someone finally put it into words. Demon slayer is not a great anime because of the complexity like some of the newer great like aot but it is great because of hoe simplistic of story can imbue with great morals still. Its why a lot of fell in love with anime. Some of the greatest anime have a relatively simplistic story but greater deeper moral basis plus animation for the time they came out. Demon slayer while simple make you feel connected to the characters and makes you feel as one of the characters. I probably said a whole lot of nothing and i wont make it seem like my itty bitty speech meant anything but its the best way i could put it into words and i love it still and i love demon slayer for the way it made me feel. This anime is great and idc what anyone says.
P.s. Tanjiro being such a kind soul is also why i fell in love with demon slayer. Like he said and before i watched i though it was just another big manga/anime that people were buzzing about then my buddy told me about the spider demons and i got invested base off of my own imagination of how could such a kind heart still kill the demons when the demons seem more human than demon. Then i watched and i realized why but fell even deeper in love with how simple but deep the story could be at times. It hit me to my core especially since at the time i was in afghan taking lives for what i thought and still think was right at the time and it gave me a better understanding of what i was doing and how felt and feel about things. Just like how he also brought up with naruto its not always about being the a badass and not caring but being that badass when the time calls for it but also loving. Tanjiro shows what it is to be a man and in full masculinity with showing that its not always about just being tough and hard but being tough when you need to being able to express your emotions when it is needed. Being able to go through it and tough it out and show the ferocity when you need to but also be gentle when it comes time to. As i learned from watching blacksmith videos and idk how correct this is but “a hard edge with a soft spine” denoting the metal used for the edge and the metal used for the spine in the way of making a katana for a samurai. Resonates deep if you are a man because everyone wants to be “that” samurai that warrior for those they care about but what happens when your hard sharp edge comes in contact with what you love? Although I may have been trauma bonding with a show but as naruto was for my childhood until it ended demon slayer filled the void in my adult life and i feel like the show has much more to give if people stopped being so caught up in what people think and just liked what they liked and expressed that. Im sorry creator if you read this and feel as though i am dumping way too much into this comment but your video got to me and just opened a bit for me. Like he said dont stress to much about being a critic to an anime at the end of the day we are all viewers and gonna watch no way so just enjoy it. Which i asked them how they thought that and their response was essentially, "Idk man! Theres no real lore on the demons and how they came about or the connection between them and wisteria tree!" And i had to explain to them that literally wasnt a plot hole. Plot holes are actual contradictory information either shown or given in the show, timelines or events that dont line up or characters suddenly flipping and going against everything they've stood to be for no natrative reason. That what they were complaining about was a lack of story being fleshed out, where if thst was the case and the autbor rrally did do something like that, just infordropped all related history and events anytime something is brought up, they would just comolain and hate that too because it would read like a freaking instruction manual written in crayon.

@@AntiKash To be perfect it needs to excel in multiple categories (fights, power system, writing, world building, characters, ect.). Demon Slayer is a good casual anime but it can't be considered someone's best anime. A perfect anime needs to be an one of a kind anime.
@@captainpixel362 good point honestly, I guess we’ll have to fully wait for the anime to finish to then see. But I’m my eyes it has one of a kind animation, that only gets better with each season. It’s writing isn’t the best but it’s good, and on top of that it built a world of demons and demon slayers. I agree that with that writing it isn’t one of a kind, but as a whole I believe demon slayer is one of a kind. No other anime besides one piece right now is competing with it animation wise and that has to mean something.
@@AntiKash I have to agree that it's dominating in terms of animation. The only reason one piece can compete is bec it's backed by Toei Animations which is the biggest anime studio rn. Props to Ufotable.
@@captainpixel362 factsssss toei has been doing their thing, I have to drop a vid on zoro Vs king, one of the all time greatest fights I’ve seen. And yup ufotable as well, since the fate series back then they’ve been killing it
