Vortex **NEW PAINT JOB** (4K OFF Ride POV)- Carowinds, Charlotte, NC

Originally opening in 1992, Vortex was the third coaster to be built by Bolliger and Maillard (B&M). Although it is currently the oldest B&M Stand-Up currently operating, Vortex still manages to hold it’s ground thanks to it’s simple yet effective layout consisting of a vertical loop, 495 degree helix, and a corkscrew followed by a spaghetti section. This and Nighthawk are the most overhated coaster duo in the entire world. Vortex is not that bad and Nighthawk is a great coaster.

We did reach out inquiring about POVs, unfortunately we were unable to shoot them during our visit. But we still got a good haul of content coming out, hopefully future opportunities will open up for more POVs in the future
