Another good video mate, like you I'm from the east side of Glasgow so understand everything your saying. Better than listening to all the English accents, no disrespect to em but listening to you is easier on the ears lol. I'm 64yr old Army veteran and insomnia is a part of the brain injury I carry from them days, watching stuff on RUclips is my go to place then. I remember when Low Moss opened as a jail late 60s or early 70s and it looked more like Stalag 17 than a British jail, all WW2 style barrack huts so I think it must have been a old RAF camp as you said. Anyway mate, keep the videos coming and All the best for the future👍...hope this makes sense mate, this brain thing affects my ability to read and write sometimes so I'll shut it now. Respect to ya

@@TinPailTV thanks for your reply mate, although I live in Bristol my 2 closest pals these days are from Possil and Paisley, according to the Possil blokes wife we still sound like a bunch of neds when we get excitable. We're products of the environment we grew up in mate cant help the way we speak. We had a young officer join our unit straight from Sandhurst. 19yrs old with a Lah di Dah accent. He was fascinated with the accents the 5 or 6 Glaswegians he'd been put in charge of had and when we went to Canada for a 6wks exercise asked us to teach him to speak Glaswegian (strange people them posh boys). So everyday we gave him a new phrase whatever you'd call it to practice. Was f**kin hilarious tho the senior officers didn't appreciate him shouting to us "Gettaef**kyac*ntbeforeIcutyerf**kinnoseaff" as if it was one word. Being the senior soldier I was told "Stop Now". Few years later I watched a Rangers supporting pal teach about a dozen African tribesmen to sing the sash in Kenya and to be fair he did a good job. I wonder if they passed the song onto their children, imagine some charity going to visit some tribe in the ar**hole of nowhere to be greeted with a rendition of the sash?? Mental eh?.Thanks for you kind words on veterans, still to this day it's only public charities who help veterans, the Govt etc couldn't give a flying f**k mate. Tbh I've got no complaints as I volunteered to join and dont ask em for anything, that way some wa**er cant get a kick out of turning me down. I imagine blokes like yourself get treated similarly when you get out after a long jail term by the powers that be? Maybe we're too real for them to cope with? I dunno!! @@TinPailTV your right about there is not enough done for ex servicemen there was a statistic going around that said 60% of homeless are veterans it's shocking how we are treated after we leave the service i was given a lump sum of money and a BnB was arranged for me in Dundee eventually I got a flat in the multis up the hill town and it didn't help my PTSD fire works going off houses getting set on fire shouting and screaming fighting it all set me off it was only through my adult social worker I got a nice place in Fife on the coast in a wee town called anstruther I'm much more settled now also I forgot I was actually in the army jail it's called the glass house that is a proper jail it's not like these civvy ones it's like what jail used to be like you get no TV you can't touch or sit on your bed until 6 o clock at night I think it was you get 2 or 3 inspection's a day ones your uniform the others your dorm you sleep in rooms of 12ish people you aren't allowed to borrow anything from anyone if you are short of baccy if you are caught your charged with trafficking when you go for your meals at the dinner hall there is no talking once you finish your meal you put your knife and fork down and your hands have to be either side of your plate and your sat at attention until your told to leave from what I heard though it has softened alot since I was in in 99 it would be great to hear some stories from that jail back in the day you would be shocked at what goes on there

This is true words I myself done 2 years sentence in old low moss . Old army sheds 22 males sleeping in one big hall all bunk beds with tiny 19 inch tv away at bottom ae the hall to watch 😂 true words spoke well mate
It sounded nuts in there 😆 I remember my old co-pilot fae Cranhill telling me about it. He said someone was getting ripped on the route or in the dining hall every other day. The new built one wasn't much better when I ended up there.
I was up in education every day with ye kris. That wee suzie oh! I got moved back to Ireland, Maghaberry. One day they came and said hey cunto your release papers have arrived. Yeah I enjoyed doing my degree also. Think it was only myself and ye at the degree's.

Nah mate NEVER seen people roll about over that and nobody ever said anything to me about it. Prison is different from the weekend warriors. In there you have nobody to turn to and nowhere to run. So people get along for the most part. You could be camped up with a guy who is celtic when you're Rangers. It's different in there. Very different in my experience.
Thank for the advice. If people don't want to watch just because of a football team that's up to them. I'm not bitter. I have Celtic fans and Catholics in my family. My son went to a Catholic school. But I'm not changing for anyone. If I watched a channel of someone wearing a Celtic strip, I wouldn't stop watching it just cos of that. I done a few sentences in low moss back when it was the ranch with the 30 man billets. I liked it. As far as prisons go. It was wild though. Seen a lot o mad shit there. You had to be willing to stand up for yourself though or it would not be a good place to do your time. I seen that first hand. It was some laugh though.
@@TinPailTV Aye cuz you were doing heavy duty porridge ya mad man😂. Too dangerous and doing too long for the ranch😂 In all seriousness though there was a ton of violence in the ranch. I seen at least 5 proper slashings and three or four stabbings through all the sentences I done there. One day we were walking along the route and the guy right in front o me go stabbed in the face. Right through his cheek and left there. I think it knocked out a couple of teeth too. I never got to know what happened to most of em cuz they all got automatic rtb’s. There was a guy in my billet when I was there. They called him “scarey wick wilson” he was a skinny and really quiet older man. Totally sound guy from my experiences with him. The whole jail was terrified o him. In a previous sentence he slashed 4/5 people in one day. He was a lone wolf. He never camped up with any body. He was packing and this gang o cons tried to put the screws to him. Big mistake. He was crawling under the bunk beds at night like a commando and slashing cons while they were asleep in bed and shit. Apparently he slashed one guy and it was the wrong guy 😂. He went to town wi the 4/5 dudes in the dining hall when they tried to attack him. The guy was sound af too. He didn’t tolerate bullying in the billet. I heard he cut a guys throat in kilmarnock for bullying a wee guy. I heard loads of other stories about his jail escapades. None of them came from him. He didn’t boast or shit like that. He was quiet. Until someone annoyed him. I played bella wi him in the dining hall everyday. I must have seen at least 8 different cons come in to the prison then come in to the dining hall and seen him and went straight to the screws to get put on protection. 😂

Got shipped from Perth because I ended up with a blood clot and it was easier for me on my day to day living being on crutches all the time I couldn't use hall showers and addiewell has in cell showers etc
