Wow what a setlist
Fucking legendary setlist. @@brodieorr5393
@@brodieorr5393 Fukkkkkk . . . YEAHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Kids in 2040 will be like "i was born in the wrong generation, i wish i was born when we had REAL music, like King Gizzard!"
📠
Well, them little fockers will have to work through 100s of albums 😂
@@Backes20could you fucking imagine if there's even 50 by then. What a life that would be
It is pretty special to be alive during the emergence and solidification of the single greatest band in the history of music
yeah, except this time that complaint will be valid
Epic! So cool to have the full concert in high quality, can watch my nuclear fusion moment over and over again now :)
"make him sound weird" :D :D
that's so awesome! very happy for you :)
fuck yeah lars!!!
Probably the best audience nuclear fusion 🤘
Nice one, Lars!
I like how he forgot the last spoken verse for crumbling castle 😂😂
just too many fing songs to remember lol
Cavs is a fucking LEGEND. Dude was obviously lit and still nailing every single part. True professional. This shit is not easy kids.
every time they return to "the river" from some other long interlude, i've already forgotten about it and i think to myself.... "oh my god... are we STILL in the river?" but that's like, what it's all about, man...
Profound.
You never swim in the same river twice
Yeah well, you know, that’s just like uh, your opinion, man

There is simply no band on this level or close right now. The excitement. The songwriting. All of it.
Phish
@@JS-so5gh I’ve been seeing phish since 1995. They’re at peak form but KGLW is carving a new path in music entirely. That’s why they’re so special. Saw them in 2019 and felt like my first phish show 10.31.1995!
@@JS-so5ghbruh, phish has had like 2 or 3 good studio albums. Wtf you mean?😂
@@irishjew666everyone knows Phish -or any jam band for that matter- is not about studio albums. It’s about the live show and experience. And I believe that is indeed the context of the comment you are responding too…
@@JS-so5gh This is not a jam band. These are smash hits with hooks littered about some improv
Growing up with Led Zep, Rush, Van Halen, Queen and Pink Floyd, I scoff at others of my generation who say there's no good music these days. These guys are exhibit A.
Exactly
yooo at 04:32 there's a butterfly passing by in front of the camera. definitely a butterfly 3000
1:07:50 It's funny how Cavs started playing the drum part from One once he heard Lars' name 😄
Omg i didnt even notice! Good catch!
Cavs' Maradona Boca Juniors kit is fuckin sweet (and what an insane solo on Gaia...)
01:33:47 hits me real hard when stu said "something, something, let's go now"
if even he doesn't know I won't be ashamed if I ever forget them even though I've checked a handful of times

I can't believe I was there. All hail King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard and thanks to the PALP Festival crew to make it happen!!!
Lucky you!!!!! It's beautiful there!!! Great band too!!
Soooo lucky 🙌🙌🙌 I want to live in this festival
best version of trapdoor I ever seen, the energy so good
Joeys guitar is so loud in this recording you love to see it
i cant even heard bass
@@GokhanSobayyeah me neither but JOEY 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
@@GokhanSobayyou need better speakers lol. No issues here.
@@Ty91681 i am sound engineer. LOL
@@Ty91681 I have a pair of reference monitors and a 6,5" sub and even when turning up the sub higher than normal Lucas is way too quiet. It is not a matter of speakers, the bass guitar track is simply too buried in the mix. The drums on the other hand are super clear in the mix and sound amazing tho so I'll allow it, love to hear me some Cavs 🤷♀
Unending amounts of appreciation for such an extremely high quality setup in such a beautiful locale to capture this amazing performance. Everyone involved should feel proud
A kindred spirit in watching too much KG content, I see.
Nothing beats these HQ, multi camera Gizz concerts.
@@tonyloafpoundstone lol same
What he said!
Holy hell, they keep getting better and better.
Sleep Drifter drifting into microtonal thrash metal through Billabong Valley (and Open Water maybe?) is one of my favorite Gizz moment I have witnessed so far.
In the middle of it now and it's awesome
I was so caught off guard by billabong but it made my day
Riding through the trails with my headphones on listening to the "Gizzard" , I'm making all the jumps and turns I can't do nothing wrong ...i think that I'm a wizard.
Lonely Steel Sheet Flyer!!!!🛩️
Always a pleasure see it in the set list, one of the best!
Check out the version from 6/4/23 The Caverns acoustic night. I was there and it was great
the song is such a vibe, it would make a great soundtrack for some 'acid trip' scene in a movie, show or video game lol
reminds me of The Big Lez Show for some reason
I wish they played it more often!
Yeah The Caverns versio is real nice! It's nice to see that they have played it few times this year. My favourite version is still the 9/23/17 one. Its really chill and the flute is hypnotic.
The melody and vibe of this song is just so lovely and carefree, makes me very happy each time.
I really slept on it till hearing this live version, it's a really great song
Ambrose teasing us with the lyrics to Extinction! 🤟🏼 "I can see Everything, I can be in the Music"
1:22:04 for those wondering!
Sound and video are 10/10, well done. And very original set by the Kings, great to see them relaxed in the daylight in such a cool setting. No light effects, no video, all about the (great) music !
PS : Can't wait for the new techno gizzard to drop
Techno Gizzard? We're getting french house gizzard my man
The sound is kinda flat and the framing of the video also sucks
Well, they dropped it alright 😊❤

I don't know anything to dislike about this band. They are absolutely loaded with creativity and a work ethic that is second to none. They produce more albums in a month than some bands ever achieve in a lifetime; and they re-invent themselves on each of them. I discovered them late and am still discovering gems from their extensive catalogue. Unfortunately this is as close to seeing them live that I've achieved so far - that has to change, and soon!
Seen them live 4 times and never regret a single moment! Where are you from? 22 of may they play a 3 hour marathon in Hamburg so to Germany it is ! :D
I discovered them very early and I've watched them become the best band in the world
@@devourerofmankind they play i think 5 times in america about this time next year, so im planning to go to all of those shows then levitation festival after thier austin, tx show!
Hahaha amazing! Sounds like a plan. Have funnn
Loaded is such a great word, truth!
Holy shit that trapdoor jam was epic!
Crying at how beautiful this venue and setlist is, wow
The drummer is awesome makes the band alive
he has excellent touch
There is so much absolutely insane next-level jamming in the first half of this set. It's like they can't help but go ham during every single instrumental section. The long versions of The River they used to play were never even close to this good. This recording is an absolute jem, if only Lucas's bass was louder, it really lacks punch when hes so quiet.
According to some of the interviews with the bandmates lately, they've been really trying to break out of the rigidity of set-lists. Probably because of conflict within the band over them, but Stu said in an interview more recently that they are trying to let themselves be a lot more jammy and free-form when it comes to the live shows. So, that's probably to do with the jamminess!
Top tier comment about this set.
It looks wild. I always love it when huge bands play at smaller stages and festivals. its very intimate
Una calidad espectacular el video y el baterista con la de boca jaja muy bueno🔵🟡🔵
Michael has the Maradona Boca Juniors shirt WHAT A LEGEND
cavs is simply beyond this world good
cavs man he is so fucking good its insane. that last part of gaia had me melting
super cool to see gizz on a smaller stage like this again with the crowd right up to it, just something about that environment i’ve always found the coolest and most connected
made me cry how amazing KGLW is
dman what a high quaility recording of a kg show!
Best band on the planet. Genuinely saying that too. Nobody does and can do what these guys do. The complete package. (Coming from a guy in his 40s that doesn't like most music released by newer bands since the 2000's, lol).
Holy shit this version of Sleep Drifter is such a hellishly good jam!
It doesn't matter how many times I watch it, this set is just absolute perfection.
The drum mix on this is so good and the vocals wowwwwww
Thank you Palp and King Gizz ❤❤❤
It‘s amazing what that Band makes with one. So happy I travelled to that Place and to meet so nice people there.
Can't beat some nuclear fusion on a lovely day.
Lol, the butterfly landing on the man's head at 6:22, that was cute ^_^
Tremenda banda ! El batero y el guitarrista con las casacas del Diego .😎
Thats such an awesome set and scenery. Much respect to KGLW - just take a look at all the live footage from 2023 and still each concert was unique considering set list etc. Awesome live Band!!
I love any band that puts the music before style, genre, or image. Bravo my dudes. 37 min in I totally hear the greatful dead. I don't know if they'd cringe at the comparison or not but I don't mean they sound like them, I feel that spirit. I grew up with Metallica but those last dead shows in 94, 95 maybe changed my life. A lot of jam bands can go through the motions but these cats got "it" whatever that is
i dont know about the rest of them but stu is totally into the dead. in a relix interview he talked about staying up until 2 am listening to different live recordings of the same dead song and how much he loved the band
1:22:02 is SET off of The Silver Cord, lock it in Steve.
1:33:30 Stu: where we are going we don't need lyrics

El batero con la remera de bocaaa. VAMO BOCAA BOCAA BOCAAAAAAAA

around 54 min, there is rebetiko vibes in the mix (and sets audience on fire); brilliant group
This is a great show. They really do just keep getting better.
from indonesia with love, thank you PALP Festival
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR UPLOADING THIS! will never forget my first gizz show
La casaca de Boca papaaaaaa si señor
I just bought tickets to all California shows next year !
This might be one of the best performances of all time
Omg I had no idea that this video exists! Amazing memories
How can they sound this good live, dudes are on fire!!!!!
1:37:06 Is the moment they lose the tempo for Fourth Color, but the way they came back after the phrase was so awesome and captures the essence of KG live
The first song is like a condensed version of an acid trip. I definitely peaked. These guys are amazingly musical. The amount, and level of talent at this show is insane. And the video quality is like at Rockpalast. Superb. The guitarist playing the V is unique and heavy as lead. His tone is so live but he's so good, he keeps it under control...until he unleashes it. Incredibly complex rhythms and shimmering, intertwined melodies that put me in a wonderful trance. I'm going next year.
the guitarist with the flying v is joey walker :)
Great video! What a beautiful place and such an amazing show by King Gizzard. Love this band!!
I don't need to watch the whole show to say, what. a. fucking. band. Jesus, I've seen them once now but every show and live performance is basically its own little special album. I love them so much.
Never heard of these guys ever but what I can tell is that they are amazing musicians.
That lil mosh during The River looked so fun! No one pushing and shoving, just people jumping up and down losing their minds. Hell ya
CON LA DE BOCAAAAAAA
The random Extinction reference during Straws in the Wind goes hard, the album wasn't even out yet
man they have evolved as a band
You guys always have the best quality videos from festivals!
That "Straws" brought tears to my eyes. Its always been such a somber song, but at 1:22:00 when the key/tone/whatever goes higher, and Ambrose sings "I can see through the door and it feels beautiful?/I can be beautiful" like holy shit, this performance changed this song for me.
I think he's saying "I can see everything I can be in the music" I've heard it one time during a recent robot stop jam
such bars
