I wish modern Star Wars The Clone Wars figures would be released in their animated style. I keep seeing all animated series figures released in a realistic look, which looks consistent with other live action characters, but I’d still love to see that old animated look return.

It's about time they made this! I love Fordo and still dislike the Gendy Tartavoski figure. I wish it was more his style with the same Points of Articulation. But you gotta give them props for that throwback cardstock 🤘🏻

Such a letdown of a figure. Sad thing is even if they make a wave 2 of these and make a blue ARC trooper it'll also turn out this wack. At least we got pretty accurate and nice looking ones in TVC! lol

I did recently purchased the TVC 50th anniversary Clone Wars Arc Trooper Commander the standard blue Arc Trooper which are awesome I think. I also picked up at GameStop last week the Umbra Operative ARC Trooper from the Black Series which really pops on my shelf. I am excited for Colt, Blitz, and Havoc coming to the TVC, definitely on my wants list.

I’m glad I scoped eBay before commenting, because outside the UK, this guy is quite inflated.. but I guess eBay is not the best pricing gauge these days.
Fordo is definitely a disingenuous marketing choice, but as an Arc Trooper, I’ll take it. Realistically I’ll pass, because I’m not into Black Series repaints at all. The TVC Fordo ticked most of the boxes for me.. but this one looks good for the homemade accessories industry. I have some cool guns a an accurate pauldron for this boy and old mate even hooked me up with some TK Stormy helmets from the Bad Batch! What will I do with them? Who knows 🤷🏼♂️

Even though in the box it would have looked great next to my original Fordo still in the box, I’m refusing to give Hasbro my money for being this lazy!
Those Clone Wars figures were how I found your channel many years ago. Nelvaan Anakin was the first review I saw if I remember correctly.
If the idea was to update a character to a more modern depiction of what they represent, all they would have to do is just take a phase 1 rex, repaint it, make the DC-17S pistols fordo uses, remold the kama to accommodate the pistols, and maybe give him his goatee and mohawk if the helmet is removable, aside from that, it is pretty lazy that all hasbro did was just repain echo and slap a phase 1 helmet on him, plus it isn't as if we've never seen him along side the more up armored style of ARC trooper either, I believe it was either the "ARC Troopers battlepack", or the "Hunt for Grevious battlepack" that Included Rex, 2 phase 1.5 ARC Troopers and an ARC trooper Captain that looked suspiciously like fordo.
The reds don't even match throughout and those kama's should all be soft goods by now.

This figure, the Jedi Ruins Boba Fett and the comic Black Krrsantan were the last straws for the Black Series line for me and I decided to quit. Thankfully, I am primarily a 3.75" collector so didn't buy too many 6" figures, so I was able quit while I was ahead! 😊
I get that totally. I actually don't mind the Jedi Ruins Fett too much. I think it's actually a reasonable figure. I certainly prefer it over the Throne Room Fett. It's the pricing & utter laziness on Hasbro's part that's giving me the ick with Black Series at the minute, which is why over the last few months I've made a conscious effort to only grab figures I don't care all that much for, on clearance.
I haven’t opened ruins Fett as yet, but I have a fair idea what to expect. I just like the idea and design more than anything. Nomad Fett? That show was going to be so cool until someone threw a spanner in the works, but I hold out hope for season 2!
@@TheLeatheryman Same here. That's why I was disappointed with the Jedi Ruins Boba as that is my favourite post-ROTJ look for the character and the figure was just very lazy with its execution.
Here's hoping Season 2 of the show can be better too! The first step, to me, is to make him a bounty hunter again because the Crime Lord gig just isn't working
@@sealionstudios8597 I agree. The Godfather idea sounds great on paper, but horrible in execution. Though that was always going to be the challenge.. making Boba a protagonist. However, Mando did all that in just a couple of episodes... but Boba can’t be Mando’s sidekick. Honestly his best moment was him mass murdering the Nikto speed bikers. He doesn’t need to be a crime Lord to do that. I’m hoping Cobb Vanth wakes up to a new job as acting Daimyo, while Boba is off kicking butt with Mando. Hell, he can rule Mandalore just like he did in Legends.. now that would be sick!
