Future video watchers not knowing why people are hating on the thumbnail. Welcome.
😂😂😂 Only the notification gang will get it. 😈😈
No hate! Just contemplating...🤣
M&R, I took a screenshot to always remember 😈. You’re welcome 🙃
Dude you NEED to watch Dune. It's a must see movie.
"Dune is a relatively new movie franchise"
I mean in a cosmic sense sure

Makes up for it with the opening
“Dune is a relatively new movie franchise”
someone want to tell him the dune movies have been around since the 80s
(:laughs in Alejandro Jodorowsky and David Lynch)
I’ll let him slide on this one. It was almost 40 years since the original movie.
@Yodaman-dy1gm Books arnt movies
And books from the 60's
Technically you are correct but the new Denis version is a thing of its own. I have seen the older versions and I don't consider them to be one franchise, they are different takes on the same source material but have nothing to do with one another in my opinion. Therefore I would let it slide.
Ah, so that’s where all the cloth waistcapes for clones went. Makes sense now
I would love to see Lego do a TON more Dune sets. There are so many options, just make some more sets
After seeing both the new movies, I feel like this series deserves similar attention as Star Wars from Lego. AT LEAST one other set. However, this set itself is great and if this is all they're going to make for Dune, then I'm very happy with what we got. But Lego is crazy if they don't make more sets especially whenever Dune part 3 comes out, but I think that's gonna be many years away.
Imagine battle packs for each side!. That would be amazing.
Got to agree with you Ryan. All those colours look terrible.
I could imagine so many UCS sets if it was worth it for Lego, I would especially love to see a spice harvester. But indeed there are so many options. Dioramas with a worm, midi-scale vehicles, battle packs, locations for play features, etc.
Dune is not very consumer friendly though and the concepts in the book's sequels get very dated and strange
i'd love a sardaukar or fremen battle pack though
if it sells well, they will
All I can say is WATCH DUNE, WATCH DUNE, WATCH DUNE!
Yeah it's insane that he hasn't and this review would have been so much better if he did.
@@TheFirstCurse1 Honestly bro, Dune 2 has brought these movies into Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings level of movie. We haven't had a big saga like this in years!
@@GiediPrimal There is only 1 and 2 out atm. But you defo have to watch number 1 to understand number 2.
@@GiediPrimal Yes 100%. The movie shows and explains everything you need to know.
@@GiediPrimal Honestly mate I'm the same. I always feel like I wasted my time if a movie isn't that great. My honest oppiuon is if you like big sagas like Star Wars or Lord of the Rings this is the only other saga in recent years that comes close to that level of imagination and scale. 100% worth it!
This is definitely one of the best sets released in years. Amazing figs amazing build and it's from an amazing movie
Lego needed to take away waste capes for all modern clones so that they had enough for that one minifigure! 😂
which is unfair since he only floats with that long cloth in 15 secs in the film, he's wearing normal clothes the rest of the almost 3 hours
@@batmanvsuperman_ well keep in mind its not unfair when it's their company and they do what they want.
Dune has been around wayyyy before star wars
It came out a few years before starwars, like 5 or 6
@@Jackattack-ie3bb the dune novel was published in 1965 like 12 years before star wars , a lot of star wars is based off concepts from dune
@@sanjisound oh,thought it came out in 1978 or something like that,my bad
WE GETTING 10 BILLION SUBSCRIBERS WITH THIS THUMBNAIL 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
"Many cloth pieces died to bring us this cape piece."
LMAO at 4:25 he tries to stand the figure once and fails then again and it falls of the table 😂😂
wow this intro is sick
This is the best thumbnail yet!!
Which one? There has been 4
Epic opening to the vid! Definitely a fan of this set. I wish they would have gone a bit darker though for Paul’s Royal Uniform. It’s not that bright in the movie.
Awesome set but the red, blue and yellow pins are an atrocity. There are videos on YT where you see people changing out all the pins to black and dark grey ones and it looks sooooo much better when you do this. I really hope Lego will change this because with those colored pins the ornithopter looks cheap and it is a shame because it is designed so well.
They didn't cut corners with the baron. Underneath his giant robe, he literally just has some sort of plain black suit on underneath
i don’t think he said they did
Lego Paul Atreides looks absolutely nothing like Timothee Chamalet and I feel like it would be super easy to do with the new Harry Potter year 4 hair
Exactly. I've seen many way better looking customs using only original pieces.
I was thinking of the Antonio hair piece from Encanto would've worked, but probably not.
@@levifout60882yeah, probably not
Maybe the one they used for petunia Dursley would work
First thing I did was order all the colored parts in Black and dark grey. And order some extra half-pins and tiled bars to cover those open technic holed bars between the wings and in the back. Makes a huge difference!
Dude got so hype he didn't even see the movie yet 🔥🔥🔥
“I haven’t seen Dune, but. . .” Is such a common phrase amongst the reviewers of this set. I’m considering doing a compilation.
4:54 That "Great LEGO Cloth Shortage" joke was absolutely hilarious, it wouldn't be a MandR video without a bit of shade towards the Star Wars theme! 😂
You mean Star Wars is kind of like Dune. Dune was released in 1965. Its almost like a young boy read a sci-fi novel, and then decided to create a story and a movie taking key elements from said sci-fi novel.
Whut dyou mean
@@Lego_DestroyerHes talking about lucas
@@piotr78 i didnt understend

As a long time Star Wars fan... Dune is objectively better than any Star Wars content.
The technic functions are some of the coolest LEGO functions in the history of LEGO functions.
The Baron was built with such detail 🤓 So nice to see!
Man I just finished building this like half an hour ago and you just go and throw this review!!! Amazing set, love it!!
Epic and hilarious opening! My kids and I have been enjoying you exploring new style of fun and content. Appreciate your channels
I got this set after I saw it in person it’s so nice and some crazy functions
And Lego highlights the brick/piece that is being placed so it’s already easy to build
Awesome set. Definitely will try and grab the brickshell wall mount for it whenever I grab the set.
Really awesome intro video! Loved it thanks so much! 🎉
I went on bricklink and replaced all the odd colored pieces I could. Also made some additions/modifications to cover up any leftover odd colored parts.
The new intro was awesome, love that your trying something new!
The movie is equally top tier. You just have to watch it
Personally just bought it and love at first site. Because this was based on the first film, I hope we get a sandworm based of part 2.
Awwwsome, looks fun and stylish so this is bliss to see from ya!
This set is awesome! That into was spot on!
We need intros like this for Lego Star Wars sets! lol
Absolutely insane videography on this video. (I’m only 20 seconds in and feel like I’m getting hype for a movie trailer)
Peak Mandr Thumbnail right here, Sand 'n' Star Wars.
buying the ornithopter without even seeing dune is how you know this guy is a hardcore lego fan
Yes! The review I’ve been looking forward to! Now I know what to get my nephew for his birthday. He enjoyed the Dune movies.
I’ve been so hyped for this review, yes!!😆
that intro was clean 💯
The minifigs are so detailed and cool
AskMandR: can we except a Palpatine’s arrest set next year?
Ive been wondering/ hoping for this lately too!
This isn’t ask MandR, this is a review
Except?
You have to ask this on his latest AskMandR video. He won't see it here.
Thank you for taking the time on this set even though you have no history with Dune. It's so interesting to see an outsider's view on it, and I definitely agree with your take on the colored technic pieces. Mine is still not yet built (I am away from home) but I am already assembling the pieces in Pick-a-brick to exchange them to black and grey ones.
Was waiting for this one, Thanks Ryan!
this is sick! might get the set.
This set also looks amazing to me. I've been wanting it. Glad you're reviewing it.
WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE ORIGINAL THUMBNAIL?!?!?!?!?
Also, clear M&R didnt build or care for this set at the beginning...and yet his criticisms are spot on for anybody who did. ❤
0:21 you should definetly watch it, I really enjoyed the film
Marrok from the new T6 set would fit in nicely with this set as well.
Could be a Harkenin soldier.
Love the review!! And ive got it and i absolutely love kt
love the cinematics
Also, Baron is played by Stellan Skarsgård, AKA Luthen Rael.
You Know what would be cool, a Lego Dune Battle Pack
The charred wingtip just gives me more evidence that one of the LEGO factories had a fire in it a few months ago (several bags in my UCS Venator smelled like smoke )
Ryan’s descriptions of the characters are so funny
Bros gonna love the set even more after he watches the movies 😂
The removable seats were in the at -te
I’m here before the thumbnail changed, 10/10, pls don’t change, and goated intro 😂, great review Ryan
dude i want the display so bad but it’s half the price of the actual lego 😭
I'd heard that technic pieces are colour coded based on their strength. Not that it makes any more sense on a display set
Look into the past films. The dune of this time is for sure the best design. But they have had previous versions and heck the books go back even further and are 10000x better.
Built mine last week, but replaced some red parts with black ones and added light kit, looks awesome. Now, i just figuring where to put the wall mount for the best view.
You should totally see the movies (not the 1984 one) it’s going to remind you a lot of Star Wars because Lucas took a lot of inspiration from the original books
Would've much prefered them to ditch the cloth piece for Baron Harkonnen. Instead do what they did for Bombur from the Hobbit where he has a unique stomach piece
The thumbnail 💀
The intro 🔥🔥
When I first looked at the thumbnail I thought it was the things that the wookies drive in episode III😂
Please go see dune 2!! It’s what Star Wars could and should be.
Introduction of the set with the red light on the display case, absolutely bada$$.
Glad to see that you really liked this set as much as I did, you should watch the movie!
Best explanation ever for why exposed colored technic bits stink.
FYI Dune isn't a new movie franchise, it's a remake of an 80's movie based on a book from the 60's.
Technically, it’s a new adaptation of the book from the 60’s.
The injecting machine for melted plastic consists of a large screw in a tube with heaters in the side of the tube. It is loaded with plastic pellets that are then melted inside. The plastic needs to be injected into the mold at a certain time, otherwise the plastic melt will burn. I wonder if the black tip on the one blade is burnt plastic. Some friends of mine are building a machine for cleaning a large one of these tubes at a local company and from talking to them I have found out these machines always build up burnt plastic on the side of the tube and need to be cleaned a couple of times a year to prevent too much burnt plastic from flaking into the molded part.
You would love Dune if you enjoy Star Wars
Another great vid
I’ve been waiting for this one.
thats crazy
How many times did you change the thumbnail and title?
good thumbnail
Great vid fr
Lol, the number of times this video has changed 😂😂
I'm curious why Lego is going no pupils for half the figs in both this set and Star Wars. I don't mind either option, I just wish they'd be consistent.
Perfect time to review this set after a great movie the hype it high
Everyone forget about the thumbnail Ryan just dropped the sickest intro on his channel every
The intro tho...😂 yes, it's a Star Wars spinoff.
What no one seems to mention is that Paul and Lady Jessica's clothing is from the scene where they first enter an Ornithopter during their transition to their new home planet. It's not random at all.
Why was Dune so much better than recent star wars?
Because the people who made Dune actually cared about the franchise.
I guess because everything hasn’t been done a thousand times over. Let’s see what happens when they do this set for the 15th time.
I liked Dune 2 more than all of the Star Wars movies. The old stuff is outdated, and the new stuff lacks heart (except Rogue One).
because anything is better than recent star wars
Because star wars was made for kids. Dune was made for adults.
Hey Ryan - this is fantastic. That vertical stand is gorgeous. I liked Oscar Isaac in Dune over Poe Dameron in Star Wars. You have to see Dune. It's too bad there isn't a crossover or link between House Atreides and the spice flow of Arrakis with the spice mines of Kessel. I can totally see the witches of Dathomir using the spice melange to get visions of the future.
Where have I seen an intro like this before…😂
Piercyn must’ve seen one of your vids because it was completely his idea. I was happy with my standard box pan 😂
Dune is kinda like Star Wars ❌
Star Wars is kinda like dune ✅
The only minifig I feel like they missed was Stilgar. If they make any more sets I know they will include him.
3 thumbnails in 3 hours love to see it
firstly i can't believe you haven't seen Dune secondly i love Dune and as soon as i saw this set i grabbed it, really enjoyed the build too looks amazing to say its lego, the different coloured parts don't really bother me too much they wouldn't stop me buying what i think is a brilliant model, the inner working of this model must have taken a long time to think up because there is a lot going on inside this model, loved the review so now go watch Dune ;)
If only the tumbnail got the same amount of love as the intro did... great video tho
This Dune fan is definitely becoming a Lego fan. I’m currently working on a Lego Sand Worm that came with the Sci-fi Miniseries Blu-ray Collection. I’m having a blast working on it. My Ornithopter just arrived in the mail a week ago. Looking forward building that after I finish the Sand Worm.
