whoops! some slight misguided fact! Max Havelaar is actually the title of the novel. It was written by Eduard Douwes Dekker (a dutch writer who lived in Indonesia for awhile in the Netherland's colonial era) using an alias named Multatuli.
Wow... this is an awesome randomness! Well, the last time I asked the vocalist what this song about is still abstract. But he adopted the name "Saidjah" from a novel written by Max Havelaar. As for the lyric, it only contains one phrase : "Saijah remuk, dan dia kan sadar, yang tak diam dengannya hanya waktu" which means : "Saijah was crushed, and he realized that the only one that didn't stop with him was time"... I'm not sure I translated the lyrics accurately, though :p cheers from Indo!
Damn this guys are talented, I like how the audience is paying attention throughout the performance. BTW.. I'm Filipino and like this band a lot... then again who doesn't like them?
Hi! I got a quetion for a person who does understand what they are singing about: I came a cros this song randomly and it sounds awesome even if I dont understand what they are saying, but I would be interested to know what are the lyrics in english and does "Saija" mean anything in the language that they are singing in, because my name is Saija and I´m from Finland :3
The song is awesome and the lyrics are some how so inspirational (even thought theres not much of them). It´s just so interresting that the band is from Indonesia, inspiration from Neatherlands and I´m from Finland. I have thought that Saija is finnish ladys name, but I dont know is ts the same in Dutch or something.. But still awesome!
entah kenapa gw lebih suka aransemen yg pas singapore and malaysia tour..entah kualitas rekam'a yg kurang bagus ato gimana yg jelas "greget"nya kurang..but overall this is a good song :)
saw them at a festival and heard this song from afar. was so drawn by the chant. regret i didn't see the beginning of their set. so good. by any chance is the chant inspired by panda bear's comfy in nautica? or the sample used?
