Hurd or sheep dog they circle around anything moving. The stair or look of the sheep dog is enough to move a flock of sheep. They do not bark they hurd flocks of sheep. Brother owned one and kids or people that come over the dog hurds them. Kinda like a point a look like a fox attacking dog.
The whale was several feet away, not inches.

Why do people always want to turn wildlife into a cartoon? This is not a "friendly whale", it's simply a "not dangerous at the moment and inquisitive whale".
Used to have a house on the central coast and loved the Monterey Bay Aquarium for the work that it did but the issues with the whale watching boats going out and churning the water trying to get close to the whales so that they would make their money was so infuriating.
I'm currently in Seattle and legislation is pending regarding the whale boats and their interference. We not only have humpbacks but orcas and the boats are constantly getting too close. Sometimes they separate the mother and her calves.
Would _YOU_ like it if a boatload of camera clicking noisy tourists were constantly trying to reach out and touch you?? Maybe you would, but I wouldn't.
You don't know anything about Wildlife please shut your mouth both my family members have worked at the Monterey Bay Aquarium I used to be security guard at the mombari institute at Wales not going to hurt that dog Please shush it doesn't even sound like you've ever taken a course in animal husbandry
And please don't visit we hate crassness in our city
