  • Learn how to do crow pose bakasana yoga pose with 3 variations for beginners and advanced practitioners alike. Bakasana is one of the first arm balances that yogis try as it requires shoulder and core strength. In this video, I give 3 variations ranging from easy to challenging. Mr. BKS Iyengar, of the Iyengar yoga lineage, describes 2 variations in his book "Light on Yoga" with the elbows bent and straight. I also offer a third option or variation where the knees are placed on the back of the triceps rather than the outside of the triceps. The last option is the easiest option for most beginner yogis since it requires less inner thigh strength and core engagement. Give it a try and let me know how it goes!
