- PINK & TEAL makes for such a pretty PENDULUM PAINTING. A cousin of mine had suggested I do this color scheme so I said why not and here we are with it !!! I used ARTIST'S LOFT paints to paint the canvases and the colors I used were AQUA GREEN & LIGHT MAGENTA. I used regular acrylic house paint to fill the cup for the pendulum. I had 30lb braided fishing line to hold up with cup. I have listed below a video where I go into a little more in depth on my set up if you choose to check it out. I'll also put a link to the very first pendulum I did here on RUclips that started my love for all these pendulums.

I wonder how the paint would flow when you are doing your background on the canvas if you add Floetrol (and it would help stabilize the paint). These are flipping GORGEOUS Chelsea!!! You are so talented!

@@chelcpaints8810 Yep!! LOL But you get great coverage with the water. Maybe don't mess with a good thing??? My husband uses Floetrol a lot when he paints (he and his brother have a business together in their "retirement") and a lot of pouring artists of course use it to thin the paint. But it also binds the pigments and keeps the paint from fading. So it might be worth a shot - it'll definitely help the paint spread smoothly... get you a small roller brush and a pan at the Dollar Tree, too. :-) No lines left on the acrylic background. I can't get over how you managed to get that entire pendulum swing/sphere perfectly onto both canvases. Incredible job, Chelsea!!!

Hey if it doesn’t work out you can always roll over it while it’s wet... let it dry then try again ! 🤗
@@chelcpaints8810 so true! just worried that something will collapse and there will be a paint mess to clean up. But maybe I'll figure something out!
Ahh gotcha yeah mine won’t collapse lol it’s literally screwed into my ceiling in the garage and then the mini one I have in my art room is clamped down with these www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-Trigger-Clamp-Set-4-Piece-DWHT98069D/313111934 and they are secured very well I also have this video ruclips.net/video/1IWXTR0gjSI/видео.html showing how my garage is set up 😀

Chelc I don't know how heavy that the weights you use for the cups and maybe the bigger the paper a bigger cup?

Either Valspar or Behr from Lowe’s or Home Depot 🎨 and this pendulum had an 1/8 inch hole drilled in the bottom. Thank you for watching and commenting 😁🎨

hey love the videos, do you mix the paint or just use it as it comes in the can, also where dou get the canvas you are using ?
Great background colours but the permissions for the background area almost endless. Could you do a pendulum on top of a pour painting for instance?
Of course that can be done ! I’m actually going to try that today I believe!!! Lol!!!
