Your camera shots of the edges are awesome. Everything that you've spun out is fantastic. Is it necessary to seal up your finished canvas, or can you leave it raw?
    Pros/cons?
I always appreciate the imperfection of the OOPS spatter on the first swing, on a canvas.
We ain't perfect, but nature is. Love it

Thank you so much ! If you prefer it to be unsealed it’s totally your preference but I like seal because it will protect it from liquids, it’s kind of like if you think of a suede couch vs a leather couch.. if you spill something on the leather it can wipe off pretty easily vs with suede it’s not so easy and may in fact get ruined.. so that’s how I look at it. Even though sometimes I do admire pieces without the seal. So it all just depends ☺️

After you graciously explaining the sealing of your work you've made me a believer. Thank you. My buddy Kitty Bob has billions of fuzzy follicles! They would seek out raw canvas!
I hope to make a first spin in a few weeks.
I'm searching for roller bearings to make a very fluid double axis setup.
I appreciate you turning everyone onto home paint. I love HD OOPS paint for miscellaneous projects

What product do you use to vanish?

  • @tabithav71

Do you dampen the sponge before using it to spread the varnish? I"ve had bad luck with streaking in the past using the same type of sponge brush.

Hmm no I have not tried that ! For some reason with my pendulum paintings it doesn’t leave streaks. However , I’ve noticed a few streaks on some paint pours I’ve varnished before.
