  • Hey, apologies for the sync issues with audio - I'm learning a new video editor and obviously messed up! Looks a bit like a badly dubbed martial arts movie from the 70's! Oh well, live and learn.
If you're a cheapskate - like me - you might be tempted to buy a third party battery for your expensive Fuji XT-3 camera.
I've had good results with many cheap third party batteries, but the NP-W126 equivalents I bought almost ruined my shiny expensive camera.
    Buyer beware!
This is my tale of woe!

I bought a couple of Ansmann batteries, and after one practically got stuck in the camera after a few short months of use, it went straight in the bin ( battery bin at Aldi ). The other, I only have as an emergency battery which needs to be drained completely, not just to the point it turns red but when it won’t even turn the camera on, seems ok then but it hasn’t bowed nearly half as much as the other. As you mention, the price of native batteries are ridiculous, but I found that Duracell make them for the Xt3, and after years of using these in my Canon G7 X I thought I’d give them a try, I’m so glad I did, and at £18.99 I’ll be getting a couple more too.

That's good to know about Duracell - at that price I'm tempted to try one. Fuji cameras go through power like nobody's business. No problem for a few photos, but if you're planning a full day you need a pocketful of batteries!

@@mygoodstuffreviewed So true, I've one fuji, a Duracell and that Ansmann for emergencies but that'll going soon when I buy another Duracell.
