  • If you have a Fuji X100vi I'm jealous! But I have the Fuji X100v and it's almost identical - close enough that the SMALLRIG Thumb Grip fits perfectly.
    This is the special engraved thumb grip, as you'll see in the video.
    It feels great and really makes the camera easier to hold. Looks cool too! And the little red soft release shutter button looks very cool - you'll look super professional using these two items! Hey, my photos may still be lousy, but I look the part!

    Squarehood mini soft shutter button is the best IMO

      Don’t know that make, but I like the one I got. I know there are several different makes out there. I bought a super cheap one long time ago. It was rubbish. This one feels and works pretty good.

    Do you know if this fits the xt5?

    • @mygoodstuffreviewed
      @mygoodstuffreviewed  10 дней назад

      Short answer, no it doesn't. I just tried it on my XT-5. First, you'd have to remove the rubber eyepiece so this could go into the hotshoe. But it would then be too high and not in a suitable position to rest your thumb. So "technically" you can make it fit, but it's not actually usable and you'd probably find it would be awkward to use the viewfinder.

    Any idea whether it'll be suitable for the sony a7c?

      I don’t have that camera to test on, but I think it’s unlikely. The placement of rear buttons is probably different between the Fuji and that Sony. There is probably a specific Sony thumb grip out there though. I was thinking king about getting that Sony at one point - then I ran out of money! If I come across anyone with the A7C when I’m on photowalk I’ll ask if I can check, but as I say this is actually designed and shaped for the button layout of the Fuji.

    Can this fit on x100F?

    • @mygoodstuffreviewed
      @mygoodstuffreviewed  4 месяца назад +1

      That’s a good question. It should be a standard size, but I have the X100F so let me check and get back to you.

      I just tried. It fits the hotshoe, but it slightly covers the View Mode and AEL/AFL buttons in the X100F so it’s not really suitable in my opinion.

      @@mygoodstuffreviewed I see. That's great. Is it tight to get into the hotshoe tho or it just goes smoothly? And is it tight to remove it from the hotshoe as well or its smooth? Because I tried some random thumb grip on my x100f, they were really hard and tight to put into the hotshoe and even harder to remove it from the hotshoe. Just worry it damages the hotshoe overtime

      @mygoodstuffreviewed  4 месяца назад +1

      @sufiroslan It’s a pretty tight fit and also for removal. At least it won’t fall out by accident!

      I see. Thanks for the info and replies. Appreciate it. Have a good one!
