@sultryaz The disc cutter will cut the Niobium and Titanium, There will be more wear on the cutters than normal. As for forming the washer. It be a little tricky. The niobium will form easier than the Titanium but neither metal can be easily annealed. They have to be annealed in a vacuum under an inert atmosphere. We hope this is of some help.
@leftysoftball17 Sadly no there is not. The basic rule of thumb though is, The larger the washer the larger the ring. This technique of making rings takes a lot of experimenting to find just the right combination of diameters and thickness. The thickness of the metal plays a roll too. So try getting some copper, in the same thickness as the ring you want to make, and do some experimenting. Be sure to right down each step and that will make the process go faster. I hope this is of some help.
Watching this 10 year old video is hilarious! I've been making coin rings for about 6 years now. The tools and techniques used are similar. Coin ring making has really progressed in the last couple of years. Just ask Jason.
Hola, toda la información del producto y dónde conseguirlo están en el video. Los números de referencia usados en el video se enumeran al final del vídeo. Espero que esto sea de alguna ayuda. ¡gracias Mark N Tech
excited to try this, but disc cutters are expensive... is there a really big difference ebtween this 300 dollar disc cutter and the 60 dollar ones elsewhere?
tronclay mine is not the real expensive model, But I am only using it occasionally. If you plan to use it daily or quite frequently then more expensive. Use the lubricant to extend the life of the ring!
Hi there - The inside dimension of a size 16 ring is 24.64mm diameter. It is recommended that ring shanks are 1.2-1.5mm thick for women’s rings, and 1.5-1.8mm for men’s.
@@RioGrande1944 I was more aiming the question towards what is recommended punch sizes to make a "washer" for a size 16 seamless ring. For example, a 1/2 inch punch for the center and 1 3/8 for the outside?
Hello there, Thanks for asking. While the cutter will cut cardboard, our Jewelry Tech Team advises that using the tool in this way will wear the edge of the punches, making them dull. Thanks for watching!
i would take a tube. cut a piece of. then cut it at the seam, roll it open. flaten it. and then take your tool. to make a washer. make it a piece of tube again. then you coult draw that to a longer tube. cut a piece of...
