Contacts are great for stuff like skating or hackey sack, but a stylish pair of spectacles could add to your gaming experience and aesthetic! Looking forward to the rest of your uploads here and the future content, stay awesome Jonny 😎
Johnny you deserve all this! I have watched you for years and you have dedication like no one I've ever seen! This channel will grow just like your skate channel thats almost to 500k subscribers! HALF A MILLION! We will support and follow you just like we know you would do the same for us. Love you brotha! GO GIGER GO!!
I really appreciate the real skating clips alongside the gaming content by the way, it's something new and unique. Most gamers can't do the things they do in video games. Its awesome that you can and that you show us how you do
This is so cool to watch with clips of you actually skating edited in with your anecdotes from actual experience. Keep making this content, I bet it will take off like crazy! Keep up the good work brother!
Video games and skateboarding have always been at a cross road. They were like peanut butter and jelly, and it was a matter of time they made a sandwich! Gaming videos aren't just another market and audience but just doing this type of content is so much fun and enjoyable to watch. I hope you manage to keep up with this channel too, I think it's a worthwhile venture for ya, Jonny! Best of luck
Stoked to see you have a gaming channel! Been drowning in your content during lockdown and it's been the best! Love the passion behind everything you do!
Your English is better than most that have it as a native language. Followed you from your skate channel. Good first video. Now I can say I was within the first 1K sub's (855). Cheers and love your commitment to your crafts! Be well.
Glad you are starting some gaming videos. The sacking on the rail reaction was hilarious. Keep up the great work and your English is better than some of the people I know here whose 1st language is English.
I guess just being yourself helps. This first episode alone was a blast. I lovethat you put real life footage in there because basucally that is what this is about: An insight of a video game given by a professional skateboarder. Therefore: I don't think it'd be a good idea to to talk about the techhnicalities of the game or do very impressive lines or stuff like that because there are already people doing that (and probably better than you). You can share an unique insight into this skateboard gaming world - use it. Which by now seems to be the thing you try to pursue anyway which is awesome. I'd support you any way I could! Subscribed :)
Great video Jonny, so awesome how you finally created a gaming channel, been waiting for this one! :D Few tips for the game: if you press triangle on your controller you can move around freely and place a spawn marker so you don't have to skateboard everywhere. Also there is a replay editor where you can film all the trick you do. And there also are challenges in the menu that will teach you the controls. If you want to look for youtube tutorials I would recommend Nightspeeds channel :) Can't wait for more Skater XL videos 👍
I think u did great man and your English is perfect 🔥 great video I just downloaded the game and also skate in real life for a long time. Hopefully it’s as rewarding as it looks once you get good at the game. Great video homie !!! Keep shreddin
Subscribed and bell is activated. Yesterday I started playing skater xl. I was skateboarding for 10 years ago and this game is fun. Cool that you have a channel of skate xl
Love that you're playing this, if you upload a decent amount it's a great way for your fans to get to know you better, a lot easier to talk when you aren't dying 30 times a day
or Milky - he's even better - I'm not enjoying Nightspeeds that much lately (he stopped filming nice clips, 'cause of the "haters"/viewers that don't like that) - Milky seriously enjoys the game (still after dozens of hours playing almost daily - glad yt recommended him out of nowhere - this dude deserves more subcribers)
@@neterosaishono9231 Nightspeeds still enjoys the game what are you talking about? Now more than ever if you ask me. But I will say that I don't like at all his followers/fanbase because they are really toxic against people that just like to play the game differently or like other skate games like Session or THPS and I never see him say something like "you guys should not hate on others people likings" but it just doesn't happen. I bet it is because he thinks that it would offend some people and they would leave his content behind but I would still prefer a nice, comprehensive fan than a bunch of 12 yr olds hating on trickliners, Session and THPS fans and even other SkaterXL youtubers. Is just so dumb
@@neterosaishono9231 I like them both, started watching NS first, but these days I prefer Milky because of his realistic stat and manual catch. But they are both chill super nice guys
@@golden2420 same - always just watched NS - around 2 weeks ago Milky got recommend by yt and I really like his vids for the same reasons as you mentioned
@@pedrotudoyt I said I'M not enjoying his vids lately - not that NS wouldn't enjoy playing the game anymore. He should give a damn about what the viewers want and freely enjoy what he wants to do. Please himself, not the haters. he's just super humble and wants to please everyone, but that's not possible. I'm still going to support him. Maybe we should contact him and make him read, what we commented here.
ich gucke schon seit tagen gameplays von skater xl und hab mir gedacht biiiitte mach jonny auch welche. Und boom jonny macht welche. Danke man mach weiter so
Jonny its super fun to watch you play this game. Especially since you havent played it much. I think you could have fun doing the courthouse level. It's a smaller/simpler map and is really good to get down the basics
Don’t think he meant that or meant to imply that. Just trying to let us know English is not his first language-that said, he’s clearly fluent. Well done, Johnny.
@@jonnygigergaming4543 absolutely my guy! Keep kicking ass and doing all the amazing things you already do. By the way your English has gotten soo good! Much love fam, stay safe.
Check out the physics mod to really make the game feel less floaty and a lot more realistic. It changes the gravity and board spin to be more accurate. Default controls make it easier for new players to land things easier. Edit: Unless you're on console, then you'll be out of luck.
Hey man, grinds are difficult on this game, but quick helpful tip, much like real life, line up your grinds before you pop, use both sticks to pop high or back foot stick to pop low. After the ollie you can move the sticks to adjust your feet position depending on the grind/slide you want to do, so if you're going for a FS smith move the right stick right a little, and use the trigger to turn the front away from the ledge or rail
hey johny I came from your main channel! cool that you have implemented your own skate footage that is no body is doing and I love that referance! also cool that you are using sound effects reminds me on japanese yotubuers they are using that a lot... luckely you do not use so much text aka telops like them though!
It seems to be on your end, but there is a faint hum/hissing sound, possibly from your mic when you're playing. This is easily fixable though! Whatever program you're using just find out how to remove background noise, usually there is a prebuilt feature for doing this in video/audio editing software! Otherwise the content was great and I'm happy i got to be here for your first vid xD
You can push switch regular with square on playstation or x on xbox, high popping it looks like you might understand, and when you're crouched to pop you can use the triggers to pre-wind fs or backside to get faster spin rotation- some tips that helped me in the beginning. Cheers!
Some tips for SKATER XL; Based off of playing it for around 10 hours or so what really helped me get used to the steering is to imagine that the rotate buttons on the top of the controller are controlling your left and right shoulder specifically. I found that a small combination of analog stick and trigger button pressure helps you more imersively "lean" to turn. It took a long time to get used to but that's kinda how it makes the most sense to me. I'm pretty disappointed with the lack of manual/flatland stuff in this game though; I think in my 10 hours I've only been able to manual ONCE. No idea what I'm doing wrong lol.
Switzerland does indeed make wonderful watches, but Germany is hot on your heels with the likes of A. Lange & Sohne, Sinn, Glashutte Original, Nomos, and others!

You can press y or triangle to move your marker, it makes it a lot easier to line up your tricks and look around the map, looking forward to seeing you get better dude 🤙
I hope you keep uploading new videos on trying to figure out how to play this game, that’s what I like so far about this game everyone trying to figure the game out.
Either play on pc or if you are already, learn about modding (it's super simple, you use unity mod manager and it automatically imports them to the game) this way you won't get too used to vanilla (the game unmodded) before you change to more realistic settings. You should have a good grasp of the controls though. I believe that will help the game feel less floaty and more responsive to your actions, feeling more fluid and easier to control. From there you can also download custom maps and clothes. The last bit of advice I can give is to download the "not my feet!" Mod which gets rid of the colored feet with the controller overlay still on screen, that way we can see your inputs and give control advice to make the learning curve easier as there are so many small ways to switch up your style or add small realistic details to a trick. Love you and your content, and I'm looking forward to Garrett Ginner style Skater XL videos with your own Classic Giger style we all know and love. Good luck!
Two tips for gameplay, y or triangle will let you move your respawn point and select or back button will open the replay editor. If you want to make the game more realistic like manual catching the board or higher gravity i'd check out the modding discord :)
