Hi Jonny, in this game the pushing goes like: A for right leg push (or X on ps4 controller, and B on Switch) X for left leg push (or Square on ps4 controller, and Y on Switch). That's why you were pushing mongo when you changed the stance to Goofy.

@Yuri Lopes I also did that at first, mainly because I used to play Session before I started playing Skater XL, and in that game you get much more speed from tapping than from holding. In Skater XL it makes no difference at all.

If you're making videos of this game, you gotta get this on PC. Graphics are way better, smoother fps. Plus you get mods like XXL, which can make the skating more realistic, and add more tricks. Plus, all the community made maps and gear.

Mad props on getting the Ghetto Bird so clean. I have a lot of trouble not getting the 360 Hardflip whenever I go for that trick...but damn does it look good when it works.
For the ghetto bird I like to late 180 it. To do that I turn a little with the trigger then after catching I tweak both analog stickers inside for the late 180 part. It looks very nice done that way!

When I was still little I was on SF with my family and we unintentionally drove past Wallenberg. I thought I was dreaming since I didn't even know it was in SF. I even made my Dad stop the RV and went out to get a super bad picture of it on my first mobile phone. I've never seen that photo again tho. 😂
Hey Jonny, not sure if you found out already but you can powerslide revert to change stance. so move your sticks either in opposite direction and hit R2, or move both sticks inward and press L2. great gaming videos so far, almost 3k subs already, so cool!
QUICK TIP: I noticed you're having a hard time with 50-50s in this game. It's because you're riding almost exactly parallel to the rail or ledge. Then you're ollying straight up into the air, and hoping that you get close enough to land with both trucks on the ledge. Same as in real life, It doesn't work that way, you know? Instead, come at the ledge from a slight angle (like 70 degrees) instead of riding parallel to it--aiming your front truck at the ledge--then ollie. While in the air, before making contact, pull your back truck into alignment by moving the backfoot's joystick in the direction of the ledge.
Johnny, if you hold down to pop and hold one of the triggers, your character kinda winds up to spin before the pop, it makes it a lot easier and more clean to do spin tricks

To do the revert - powerslide with one trigger pushed (I personally preffer Session controls, as you can adjust them more and on XL you can't customize those at the moment) By the way I like your history lessons Proffesor Giger :D

HOW TO: _tap the both triggers you steer with and then pop and tweak the sticks how you wanna land the combo grind or slide._ it will be little frustrating at first but you will learn
I'll support you all day I just can't see this worth $40 when the alternatives are cheaper and way better. They should have done a preview version for free on gamepass (Xbox) or a extended open beta.
I think the same, session I played the preview and enjoyed the experience and the way you have a house with features too was pretty cool. Cant justify skaterxl prices, when Sessions half the price and has a long way till it's full release.
Pretty sure Gilbert Crockett either nollied it or stuck nollie down it at one of those thrasher contests. I could be wrong though. People have tried nollie flip and nollie heel before, too.
It's actually easier to do a 720 hard triple flip in this game than a proper kickflip. Honestly, the biggest I've done is a 2340 nonuple flip or something like that (on the big ramp map).
Am i the only person who get's bored from something like a switch back-heel? *.* i mean...we're at jonny giger's chanel. the expatation IS at the level of a quad forward flip ^^'

Hardflip indy is a classic Vinnie Banh trick. If anyone could clear those stairs with that it'd be him, especially as he did it off the Braille drop.
