I'm hearing the dimensions are old but those are the dimensions referenced in the official lore. Given the discussion of swap over it could be than cannon says the military version is different from the civilian version given the difficulties of the swap over mentioned.
@@COMMANDERHAWK22 Can't tell anymore, as the original lore was that all Carrack's sold were decommissioned UEE ships. Guess that means having my carrack in game having the reserved name as the UEES MacArthur means nothing, as I was trying to infer yet not be official that she may have been one of the pre-production experimental variants, since using the ship platform name is traditionally reserved for first of production ships, and more test bed platforms are given names after things the design team are emotionally attached to, or the original place of testing/production.
Like this entire history felt like CIG just taking what actually happened in the development of the game and the community and just twisting it into lore.
@@TheAstroHistorian I love seeing the subtle differences that really make it different from your other series. It keeps the tone fresh and I think you do a great job!
I like the short length when I am pressed for time. I don't always have time for the longer videos and these are more consise and informative in the amount of time spent watching.
I just noticed that for more immersion CIG needs to make a character option for players who are or want to play as a Left Handed person can move the MobiGlass to the Right wrist.
As a proud new owner of a Carrack, thanks to this years IAE - my first. I was able to get ahold of one. An upgrade 😊. I look forward to the modules & am happy to see change.
I had no idea the Carrack lore was so mysterious and full of rumors! CIG is setting up events and mission types with this lore, such as a space plague.
Good info. I never planned to get a Carrack but once it got revealed I was instantly sold on it. It's my biggest ship and I doubt that I'll use it much in the start of the PU, but I have no regrets.
I had a Carrack and bought it before the last wipe but it's gone now. I do very much like the car rack. I'm actually excited once the ship is fully operational
It's almost like the lore was written based on the reactions and desires of the backers. The Carrack was one of the ships I was happiest to see released. Not because I wanted one, but because I was tired of the Carrack's fans crying "WHEN?". This was also true for fans of the Retaliator and if I remember correctly the Starfarer. It is still true of the fans of the Merchantman and I am starting to hear rumblings from the fans of the Endeavor. I do understand the desire, I just tire of hearing about it.
I don't think the Xi'an got them (at least by force, see further down), if they were going to disappear a crew with intent, then they'd disappear the ship too, I mean it was a working ship, if you aren't going to dismantle it for research just point it into the nearest star and hit trigger the Q-Drive. Nor do I think it was thieves or terrorists, they'd not ignore the loot of a military spec Carrack. The logical conclusion is a faction who had no interest in UEE tech, took the crew with little to no resistence. Meaning the humans probably went willingly somewhere. Meaning the crew had a reason to go, and a reason to leave their ship/faction loyalties behind. There's a few lore stories of 'better than human' mysterious forces, but only one confirmed race more advanced than humans. The Xi'an, Vanduul are considered comparable but different. So most reasonable assumption I can come up with, is human UEE defectors, they didn't like something in the UEE and just left with this other faction that didn't care about UEE tech. And seems Carrack captains may have been privy to some weird stuff, that sometimes gives them Kill on Sight designations so there's possible motive. I mean they were shot at for carrying a plague? but the lift off location didn't have the plague kill on sight marker? And so the Carrack crew exposed themselves right after take off? Seem fishy ^^
They got bored of space exploration and went to hang out with Amelia Earhart and the crew of the Mary Celeste. Seriously though: They just popped down to the store for some cigarettes. They said they'd be back soon.
Xi'an are pretty into working in the shadows, so what if the crew made a deal with the Xi'an? "Give us the ship and its tech and you can live comfortably in Xi'an space"

I love the versatility of the carrack. And I love how each ship has a bit of background. Makes them feel real.
..."whatever happened, the crew remains missing to this day"
Listen the video around 5:42 in. Sounds like a 30k.

@@TheAstroHistorian Works for me. ;-)
Hahaha!
LMAO! Considering that EXACTLY what happened to me and my ship last night, I'd say that's a very plausible explanation. LOL!
Lol, need a black hole in the verse called...30K.
I love my Carrack. The FCC HoneyBadger is a good home.
The amount of effort put into this I must like. Keep this energy @TheAstroPub ..
I love the new armchair style intro to the Museum series!!! Great work again Paul!
Glad you like it!I l like adding flavor to these series.

Such a sinister proposal, I would love that.
In the future they have cured that horrible birth defect.
Unsolved mysteries of the verse are my crack, thanks for giving me some more.
The Tainted Rose and I, are ready to train our crew and explore the stars! (While avoiding said contagion 😬) great video as always!!
good stuff! loved the cheeky mobiglass at the beginning
*cheesy
preferably the Nacho variety ❤️️
Hahaha that intro, what a bloody legend
Thank you for this. As a Carrack captain I needed to know this.
I am simple...I see a Carrack video, I click.

this is such great work. I wish you many more subscribers and patrons.
Thank You! Great work.
Great video. My fav ship in the game. Always awesome to learn the history.
Dear Paul, your knowledge and presentation of Lore amazes me again and again Tham you for this wonderful video!

Awesome as always!
When I noticed that the acronym for Astro Historian is "Ah," I was today years old.
Really enjoying this kind of ship lore content! Keep it coming!
Thanks!
Love the new format!
Very entertaining and well produced. Thanks!
Thank you for picking up were the lore guys left off
That ship was lost due to lack of training.

Saw ya in the verse the other night. Did ya get the auec I sent? Lol, love the lore vids Astro! Very good stuff!
I did, thank you!
Particularly good video
Please do a history video on the anvil hornet next. All I can make out of it is that it's a really old fighter that's been in many historical battles
Enjoyed this. Keep it up 👍
Great video for a great ship.
If I had to choose a ship to live my life in, it would be the Carrack.
Mass Effect 3 DLC Background
Loved this! Keep up the good work!
Lol! The gibbening for the Carrack is canon?! Hilarious!
Yep! Even the delays are canon!
Good stuff as always
Good job
Well Thank You.......................that was very interesting.

S-1132 or GQ Twelve?
Loving the carrack!
I named my Carrack the "Wandering Knight"
Now I want the military variant
@Dark_Winter That's classified information you're asking for, citizen. Please come with us...
Does the UEE consider the Carrack as a Corvette? If so do you have the source?

Okay mr Astro historian, what happened to the crew of the they found , is their more on ??
Wow 👏
Nice!
I love the Carrack but without an ion power generator and solar panels it’s seems to be just a glorified cargo ship.
Great!
plz do the polaris
I plan to when there is more lore on it!
