It’s fabulous, but you need a huge space in a room to put in. That’s the problem as I see it. Probably needs to be in a historical setting or museum imho
The scale model...eep. You'd need a huge space just to display it. It took hundreds of years to build the original; I'd imagine this took less time - I'd have thought a decade, but they said two years. The labor alone would cost a fortune if you paid for it. A piece like this belongs in a museum or similar. The market may be in the USA, but I'd be half thinking Canada or China.
I would love to know how much that it is going to sell for David i reckon £5 K but that is just a rough guess . I went there in 73 or 74 with the school from Rhyl which was a good journey then . As they say you can't go down a cellar kind of thing as they said the devil was down there as i don't know if they where trying to scare us kids as only being 13 or 14 . But i do remember i had a dream a few weeks before i went and i dreamt of a person with green hair . As we watching Wimbledon on TV outside a shop and there was a narrow street and i seen a man with green hair as it wasn't thought of in those days even one of my friends seen it too but being kids we where laughing our heads off David.
Marvellous...should be in a museum or on show...excellent video david...
Thank you…I hope it goes somewhere where the public can admire it
Words fail me David. All I can say is wow! It's beautiful
Isn’t it just
Serious questions should now be asked, why York cathedral turned this gift down , unbelievable!
I thought that myself!
what I great piece. I love it.
Me too!
It would look great in a Pub , It would draw attention as a Conversation piece 👍
Absolutely right
Amazing I wouldn't know where to start very skilled man to make that no amateur
Absolutely right. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t do it!
Amazing work , dedicated man I hope it would go d=for a minimum of 1000 POUNDS as he says ! looing forward to the result !
I’m going to watch (and film) it in auction, so result video to follow !

The size is indeed the stumbling block, but someone going to get a fabulous piece!
When its shipped....does it get dismantled for new owner to assemble 😅 😉 x
Items like this will never bring back the real value of the work into it. It's an artisan work and is at the market's whim.
I’m afraid so…you’re right!
Great Thing BUT Size Could be Problematic!!
You’re right…it would be worth several times more of it was several times smaller!
I hope it never gets stuck by lightning 😂
auction result coming soon
I bet York Minster would want the money if it goes for 4 or 5 figures!
They’d have no chance!!
If the man that made this was an amateur he certainly isn't now after after building 3 cathedrals !
I guess 350 quid but I hope much more!
I hope it does. I’ll be at the auction filming the sale
Beautiful model.
Unfortunately the volume is very low so it is not possible to hear much of the commentary 😕
sorry about that - hope you can get the jist of it
Yes Celia I agree there is problems with the volume levels

In the right retail environment, it could look a few thousand pounds worth…Shanghai!
It might have been worth more if it was smaller. Not many people are going to have space for something that size.
I agree
York Minster turned it down! Fools.
Odd isn’t it

I’ll be at he auction, so keep your eyes peeled!
The builder must have been in prison a very long time.
No, he was in his dining room!
Got a train made of these won't sell it can't match that ha ha? Deserves good valuation
auction result coming soon
What a waste of time, all work and no nothing.. by a bike and smell the roses.
Hardly…the builder enjoyed the process and did what he wanted to do
They didn’t want it. Disgusting
@@RobBoon1967 You’d think the Minster would love it, but I suppose they have storage problems too!
@ I guess, i thought that was laser printed.
But 2 years of matches is awesome
