It’s fabulous, but you need a huge space in a room to put in. That’s the problem as I see it. Probably needs to be in a historical setting or museum imho

The size is indeed the stumbling block, but someone going to get a fabulous piece!

When its shipped....does it get dismantled for new owner to assemble 😅 😉 x

Items like this will never bring back the real value of the work into it. It's an artisan work and is at the market's whim.

Great Thing BUT Size Could be Problematic!!

You’re right…it would be worth several times more of it was several times smaller!

I bet York Minster would want the money if it goes for 4 or 5 figures!

If the man that made this was an amateur he certainly isn't now after after building 3 cathedrals !

    Beautiful model.
Unfortunately the volume is very low so it is not possible to hear much of the commentary 😕

The scale model...eep. You'd need a huge space just to display it. It took hundreds of years to build the original; I'd imagine this took less time - I'd have thought a decade, but they said two years. The labor alone would cost a fortune if you paid for it. A piece like this belongs in a museum or similar. The market may be in the USA, but I'd be half thinking Canada or China.

In the right retail environment, it could look a few thousand pounds worth…Shanghai!

It might have been worth more if it was smaller. Not many people are going to have space for something that size.

I would love to know how much that it is going to sell for David i reckon £5 K but that is just a rough guess . I went there in 73 or 74 with the school from Rhyl which was a good journey then . As they say you can't go down a cellar kind of thing as they said the devil was down there as i don't know if they where trying to scare us kids as only being 13 or 14 . But i do remember i had a dream a few weeks before i went and i dreamt of a person with green hair . As we watching Wimbledon on TV outside a shop and there was a narrow street and i seen a man with green hair as it wasn't thought of in those days even one of my friends seen it too but being kids we where laughing our heads off David.
