Hold the volume button which looks like the plus symbol and the jbl connect button for about 15 seconds the speaker could be stuck in demo mode and this takes it out
I got a replacement for the Speaker and seem like there was an issue with it. Luckily the speaker still in a warranty period so they replacement it with a JBL extreme as JBL Pulse 2 was out of stock that time.

Michael Maskal, thanks for that.... i never tried that.... i have sent the speaker back to seller to fix it.
Michael Maskal does it have to be on to do it or you do it while speaker if off

@Michael, I tried that but doesn't work. luckily the warranty is still valid so they gave me a new one.

Exactly same issue with my JBL Pulse 2 (from the box, not even after any upgrade). Also wondering how fix this issue
