2:33 I'm sorry? Did they say 40 hours of gameplay? For a $10 dollar add on? That's a whole game. Literally, I heard that Final Fantasy 15's main story takes 40 hours to complete. Like, I've already bought this DLC and am just waiting to finish the main quest, but this makes me want to play it right now.
Most games are shorter than 40 hours, even. The Last of Us is about 20 hours. In love that game and the length is fine, but a 40 hours DLC is pretty remarkable, and there was even things left to do.
10/10 Best game ever.
Oh yes it is !!
Jones, that edit at 6:23 is delicious.
Yeah, i've also noticed it - so cool
True dat. Typical Gametrailers-Team style. Above the rest.
Even if I got the "bad ending" I feel it was the best ending ever in video games. Witcher 3 is just the Game of the Decade!
Who the heck are these people who keep recognizing Brandons voice but don't know Easy Allies are Gametrailers BUT ARE ALSO THE FIRST PEOPLE TO COMMENT ON A VIDEO
its a dumb joke man. cant take Internet too seriously.
Just finished this DLC yesterday and Witcher 3, including the amazing DLC packs, just climbed up the ladder to become my second favourite game of all time...
Just absolutely incredible piece of writing, characters and story. Amazing world building and soundtrack.
Thank you CD Project Red for this modern masterpiece!
That's gotta be Shadow of the Colossus :)
Also, just noticed, but my #2 was Last of Us, which now is #3. And Red Dead Redemption moved up to #4, but I do like me some horses in my games apparently... lol
What's you #1? Yeah Man Witcher 3 just blows me away every time I play and I get more immersed into it than any other game of all time and get sad when I have to go back to the real world. I feel like it's my new favourite game of all time beating out Chrono Trigger and FF7 but there are just so many amazing gemes all great in their own ways it's so hard to pick favourites.
whats uncharted 4 on ur list?
+Guy Suttner Yikes...
Didn't even finish it lol...
Depression and therapy/ working on myself kinda fucked that game up for me... I was playing on and off, so when I picked it up I never knew where I left off and I never could play more than one chapter... Eventually didn't even finish it. That game is too good to be play on and off. Lost my job and I'll sell it for now.
I'll play it again eventually in a normal fashion. For now it's in my top 10 for sure! Amazing game!
sorry to hear that dude
Bloodworth says Blood and Wine is worth it, heh
and said the game is bloody worth it.
Love the fact that he streamed the game while drinking wine.
i guess you could say its bloodworth it
"It's Bloodworth It" if that was some sort of official seal of quality printed on video games, I'd probably only ever buy games that had it
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..... I don't get it.
I kinda wish there wasn't half stars. This whole review sounded like 5 stars no problem, and theeeeen 4.5.
spoilers 😂
put a spoiler alert on a comment like that!
I'm polish and i'm so proud of CD Projekt RED :) The Witcher series is so much like Sapkowski's books about Geralt - full of Slavic mythology, very honest, full of polish-russian temperament :) I'm happy, whole World can see now atmosphere of Eastern Europe people :)
Do you still feel proud after Cyberpunk? Genuinely interested to know.
Why not 5 stars? What could they possibly have done better? This is the best DLC ever made. Hell, it's the best expansion ever made. It rises the bar for DLC to a whole new level.
For anyone still considering to buy this. Do it!! The Blood and Wine world is probably the most beaufitul gaming world I've ever seen. Here's a little tip though. Before downloading this B&W DLC myself, I played the main story and the Hearts of Stones pack twice, completely finishing everything in it. This meant that I had around 100.000 coins. So if this sounds familiar to anyone, here's the advice: do not, I repeat: DO NOT waste your in-game money on the Hearts of Stone, Ofieri merchant who wants to produce new Runestones for you. Ignore that quest, don't waste your coins on him. He'll reduce the contents of your wallet significantly, and what you get in return for it is pretty useless anyway. Keep all your coins and save it for the Blood and Wine DLC, cause here you'll get the option to craft Grandmaster armor and swords, and that shit's expensive. You'll need every coin you can earn in the previous two storylines. That is, if you want the high-level gear. But in all honesty, even that is pretty irrelevant, as the game gives you some really awesome swords along the way, and Vampiric armor that you probably wanna stick with till the end of the game. So you can upgrade your armor and swords to Grandmaster status, but 1. you don't really need it for the storyline, and 2. the storyline isn't that big, so it's not like you get to use the Witcher armor and swords all that much. I just wanted the Grandmaster Witcher schools gear, for display purposes in my house, but they're really expensive and I don't have the coin to buy them all. Furthermore, and this is one of my biggest gripes with Blood and Wine; your house is so poorly lit, you can barely see anything in it. That really kinda sucks in my opinion, since it's such a lovely house (when fully upgraded), and you can't even see the armors and swords and paintings on display. You actually have to walk around the house with a torch, just to add some lighting to the interior. It always looks like it's night inside. What they should have done is have the inside of the house look bright and clear during the day and maybe dark at night. But alas, shit's lit like a dungeon. I could try selling my collected items by the way, to get some extra money, but at the end of the day; it's all pointless now anyway, seeing as the storyline has finished, and there's fuck all to do in the world of the Witcher now. I could always restart the entire game again, in which case, having the Grandmaster Witcher gear would be very usefull, but I already played The Wild Hunt and Hearts of Stones twice and I'm kinda done with it now, to be honest. Still, this third storyline is an absolute must for anyone who likes the Witcher 3. Again, the world they created for B&W looks stunning, it's amazingly detailed and really improves upon the already beautiful locations they had in the main story. So in hindsight, the best course of action would probably be to play through The Wild Hunt and all of its quests, then play the HOS DLC, but save your coins and don't waste them on the Ofieri bastard who basically just rips you off, and then play the B&W DLC, and THEN replay the entire thing for a second time, but now with the best possible gear and weapons. I'll shut up now =)
Edit: Ok so here's a major problem, new to me at least, I just found this out. New Game+ won't start after having completed B&W. I go to NG+, follow the steps, try to load a saved game, and it tells me that I haven't completed the main game, which is nonsense. Apparently, this is a thing. If you've already played a NG+ before, which I have, you can't then play a NG++ so to speak. I can't restart the game anew with my B&W stats and armor and whatnot. I've tried looking for a sollution, but nothing seems to solve this problem. In fact, turns out this is a problem encountered by pretty much everybody online. I already played a NG+ after the SOH expansian, and now I can't restart again after the B&W DLC. The game's done now, I can't do anything except run around in what is an empty world basically. What's the fuckin point in that? Why can't we loop New Plus Games? Everything I've done is pointless now, there's no use for any of the gear and weapons, I reached level 83 for nothing, I'm just stuck now in an empty world with nothing to do anymore. Someone said to reinstall the NG+ DLC, but that didn't work, and nothing really works. The game is done. This sucks balls. Well, I guess it's back to other games, and forget about the Witcher again, as there's no need to play the game anymore. Fuck that shit, seriously. This in mind, for anyone reading this, do not restart your game untill you've finished the Wild Hunt, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, completely. Only then should you do the NG+, as it's a one time option, apparently. Fuckin boooo
I swear the narrator sounds an awful lot like voice of Gametrailers.
It is the same :)
Haha thats because he is, this is their new channel. Their independent now.
Just like The Rock and Dwayne Johnson look identical.
Is this a fucking meme now?
I'm not sure, I found this page like a week ago and was so excited lol.. I genuinely think people are still slowly finding this page.
WOW! It's like GameTrailers is Back!
Gametrailers IS back. Check out the Easy Allies patreon too. Lots of cool stuff if you want to help out
Who cut this footage, this is some masterful b roll here. Also nice write up Blood :)
After finishing the expansion packs ,I'm having a tough time deciding which was the best. The Main Game,Hearts of Stone or Blood and wine? They were all masterpieces imo,but I think I'd give the slight edge to Blood and wine.
Blood and Wine in terms of value, HoS in terms of writing, the base game gets props for being...the base game; without it we wouldn't have the others.
I loved Hearts of Stone. Finished it about a week ago and I'll be starting this in a few days.
Also: Easy Allies rules!
Mamali K same! Halfway through hearts of stone and I love that it's brought me back into the world. I missed it! :(
Loved this expansion so so much. The adventure towards the endgame made me soooo happy, then the final boss fight, and the ultimate conclusion is sooooo satisfying. Easily the best expansion I've ever experienced since Shivering Isles.
Best expansion I've ever played fits perfectly alongside the best game.
The Trailer "A night to remember" plays after this addon. You meet this Bruxa in the addon and threaten her to come back and kill her later. Well played CD Projekt, well played.
100% Completed! Blood & Wine is well worth the money. It's a real shame there is no more DLC planned for The Witcher 3 :(
Had no idea you guys were back in business. The way you guys came together is an inspiration. It was good hearing you rvoice once more on a review. You are the only reason why i visit GT in teh first place for the reviews. That Voice is nostolgic man. Bloodworth on the paper and Jones on the vocals; what a team. I'm pumped and proud of you guys, cheers and best of luck.
Just finished this dlc on the weekend. Absolutely worth the money, dlc doesn't get much better than this.
Best review of this expansion I've seen next to Richard Cobbett's review on Rock, Paper, Shotgun. Good stuff lads!
I first played Witcher 3 when I borrowed my friend's copy. Since then, I have played every single quest of the main game, and I will never regret it. I'm about to purchase the Complete Edition right now, and I am so happy.
Wow those bugs never happened to me.
great! you are back!!!! I felt kind of alone after your departure...glad to hear you are back...I will try to promote your new adventure as much as I can!
how is it possible to create beauty like this?!
Blood & Wine, reviewed by Daniel Bloodworth. Almost as if it had been named after him and his love of The Witcher! Brilliant Review.
Wow, how I've missed your voice Brandon Jones. Your team (formerly from GameTrailers) have always had the best reviews. Here's to many more!
Anyone still playing on ps4 pro? I've never finished the game so decided to do so about a month ago. Playing on a 4k hdr tv and there seem to be more bugs and glitches (particularly in the lighting department) that were never as drastic as I'm experiencing now.
I need to get this expansion as soon as possible
best DLC Ever for any game. Even better thant Shivering Isle and Artorias of the Abyss
Bought this a few days ago, didn’t have the time to really start it. Never had plans to get the expansions but I tried HoS in spite of myself, don’t regret it. That feeling is what led me to BaW
Not the best review I've ever seen but damn I'm happy that you guys are back. Regards; a long, long time fan.
hey isnt 2:17 the armour that the dwarf makes in the master armourer quest?
looove the editing on these. well done, brandon! :D
Any word on that Mighty No.9 Review?
its shit lol jk yeah want to hear their thoughts too
It's better than nothing
Great review Blood and great editing Brandon! Witcher 3 is GOAT IMO. Absolutely mind blowing, breath taking and the most immersive experience of all time for me.
My favorite reviewer on the web. Finally found the channel again
I need more
Expansions!!!
Wow the visual art of this new region is totally incredible!!!!!!!!!!!
Masterfully put together, Blood and Jones!
I've been waiting for this review..thanks Blood and EZA! :D
One of the best expansions I had the pleasure of playing.
If only this could be bought as a stand-alone.
Witcher 3 is a time sink I don't know I can fully deal with.
Great review, Blood!
You can't but you will anyway
This review is so good! The editing of the video made me smile a few times too really well done
What a brilliant review! You got a new sub! The best review of this DLC on RUclips!
His voice! He's back ladies and gentlemen. He's back!!!!! 😜
Boy does this game look good at 60 fps. Thanks for the great review Blood!
is this running on a pc? feels 60 fps
Probably. Playing on PC using a Xbox controller. That's the way I like to play.
what was that golden sword at 5:03
You get it from the Lady of the lake. If you hit enemies it gets stronger, after 10 hits wihtout getting hit, it has 100% critchance and if you kill with that effect something, the sword gets a permanent dmg boost. Its capped by your lvl but it should be the strongest weapon
just started playing BAW that's to the season pass deal. now waiting for cyberpunk, reason to upgrade my pc.
INdeed. I'm considering a actual PC gaming FOR the danm thing.
Aerondight is the best sword in the game.
Does this take place before or after Diamond is Unbreakable?
it took me 194 to beat the game, im a completionist, what can i say
Best DLC ever made. The Old Hunters for Bloodborne a close second.
This expansion could be a game on it's own
Guys could we get the final bosman somehow
I hope I don't encounter arachnomorphs. I didn't encounter any when I played through Blood and Wine. I specifically didn't buy Heart of Stone because of them.
for 20$, its 5 star easy
Just got game of the year for 10$ incredible value!
this video can run the game in 60fps better than my pc
This was a nice surprise review I wasn't really expecting it always nice :)
Great review! Still liked Hearts of Stone a little better though. It's brevity allowed the storytelling to be extremely... tight.
Hehehe... "tight".
Those bruxas are no joke....
Man really excited to see what CD projekt red makes in the future, new IP would be awesome
Andrew Finefrock Yep, based off of the table top RPG Cyberpunk 2027.
I love your reviews. Best in the business! :-)
Great review ❤️
such high fps, i'm jealous
I really need to play these games..
Yes...Yes you do...3 is easily my second favorite game of all time just behind super metroid, and believe that is saying something coming from me, I am insanely picky with games.
Witcher 3 is better than super metroid, lets face it :) you will realize with time :)
Haha I have this special place for Super Metroid that will more than likely forever be held as number 1. It just happend to be the perfect game for the perfect point in my life.
With that being said its not fair to base my opinion or compare them to that game...so maybe in that sense... Witcher 3 is my favorite game if the other is in its own specialized category.
kbutta01 yeah..for me the best game ever was Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 tied, for 17 years...I never thought anything would take their place, but after some 260 hours in TW3 and thinking about it a lot, I came to the conclusion that it just took their place :) I havent even started Blood and Wine yet and I kinda dont want to because it will mean the adventure will be over :|
Honestly, I thought Witcher 3 was absolutely terrible. Loved 1 and 2, though, and Hearts of Stone was a much needed return to form.
and I just paid £25 for 6 characters in sf5 😥😥
You DID pay it because you wanted too. You literally had an option on that one.
The stages don't come with the season pass, so used fight money to purchase that.
My point was however, the value of gameplay u have here for a cheaper price is amazing.!
Well for some people I guess, the vallue you paid are worth it, since they'll have more fun playing a game(in this exemple SF5) then any other game. It really depends from person to person, althou the quality and quantity of CDPR products are unrivaled.
oh youre back! subscribed
Best reviews in the biz. Feel like these 7 minutes gave me a better sense of the expansion than anything prior.
so basically a full great AAA game with the price of a small indie game
Are you guys going to review Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE
I believe Ben Moore is on he case for that! Though he has multiple game he is working on iirc.
Ok thanks, I love their reviews so I'm looking forward to it
So, Hearthfire+ Dawnguard + great story and characters= Blood and Wine??
Sweet!
Didn't this come out like a month ago? Why should I continue watching these videos when the big name guys get it to me when it comes out?
Because EZA have better reviews than the "big name guys"
to know their opinion? reviews don't necessarily need to be released as soon as the game comes out, sometimes it's even better when the reviewer takes their time to form a more thoughtful opinion of the game
I have to assume this trend will lessen in the future as they get more established as a new organization. Also, reviews are their secondary focus, OC shows are most definitely where they are putting in the most work.
You don't have to. These guys may not have the same "connections" as the bigger guys and get it later or just take their time to explore the breadth of content before putting up a review. They also don't have a large staff to play, review, edit everything as it comes out like and IGN would. They're doing the best they can. Patience, or look up other reviews as they come out earlier if that makes you happier. Not really an issue.
Rickem my point being is that if they want to be taken seriously, they need to be faster with the reviews. Even someone like Angry Joe is faster, has a much more production heavy video, and still manages to get it out earlier. Not to mention his videos stand on their own without the review due to humor/creativity. These guys are trying to be professional game reviewers and bring out reviews a month after? Come on....
Bloodworth, you're such a Witcher fanboy! lol but we love you for it. :)
good review like allways :D
Wow I never thought it was possible but CDPR managed to downgrade the expansion even further than the main game. The textures look muddy and those cardboard foliage looks atrocious with no shadow or light reacting to them. They just blend with the ground texture without giving them any definition. Witcher 2 had excellent texture and foliage but Witcher 3 had a significant downgrade from that.
rofl
60 fps always makes me ashamedly aware of my peasantry.
dat shiny new 1060 looks very sweet...
best reviews ever
Guys could we get the final bosman somehow
he has his own channel now with a similar show, just search kyle bossman on yt
+Easy Allies But why?
That would contribute bigtime to EZA if his show was on here with a bit more quality to it..?
he has said it´s because if he uploaded it to the easy allies yotube page, he would feel pressured into churning one out each week, which de doesn´t want to. You might not care about it not being on a schedule, but i think he does.
Look up Bosman at Home on youtube.
Thanks a lot :D
